This gym is amazing. The Owner Ryan Parker is by far one of the best trainer's I have come across. He is patient, knowledgeable and motivating. I am a new mom and I suffered throughout my postpartum journey. I dipped my toes into working out with Parker and I am so grateful I did. Dani, is another trainer who works at this gym. She is the epitome of how hard work in the gym pays off. She is dedicated to her healthy lifestyle and in return it's contagious with her peers. I very much enjoy working out with her and appreciate her patience. This gym is hands down the best I have ever come across. read more

Excellent experience at CrossFit NorthGate. The coaches are truly high-class, extremely experienced, and genuinely care about every member. Their attention to technique, safety, and individual progress really stands out. Ryan Parker, the head coach and owner, is exceptional. He is highly knowledgeable, approachable, and always helpful. He truly cares in a way that is rare and very different from many other places I have trained at before. You can feel his commitment to the community and to helping each athlete improve, no matter their level. I have been doing CrossFit since 2010 and have trained at boxes in various countries. CrossFit NorthGate is easily one of the best gyms I have ever worked out at. The coaching quality, programming, and overall atmosphere are outstanding. Highly recommended. read more

Best programming around and they are happy to accommodate advanced programming outside of their classes. It's helped me lose my pregnancy weight and build muscle to run faster. Thanks to all at Northgate CrossFit! read more

I absolutely Love CrossFit northgate. Ive tried out countless different types of workouts and after the first class I took here I knew I found what I was looking for. I now sign up for crossFit classes if I am traveling in different cities just to experience other gyms and I still love this one the best. All the trainers are awesome and will work with you no matter your experience with CrossFit or what ailments your body has. Workouts are always quick, efficient, hard, and fun. I highly recommend read more

All around amazing place! Best trainers, all amenities you can think of plus some. Highly recommend to anyone

No need to look any further than this place. Very clean Good coaching Great workouts Amazing members / people I've been doing CrossFit since 2007. Have traveled all over the world (for work) dropping into different CrossFit gyms. I've owned my own place. Managed several, and I'm a Level 3 certified CrossFit trainer. This place is easily one of the best. Unfortunately it's hard to find CrossFit gyms doing it right. These guys do it right and make it look effortless at they do it We traveled to Santa Rosa for a family get together and these guys welcomed us with open arms, gave us great workouts and coached us the entire time. It's worth every penny. You won't be disappointed read more

CrossFit Northgate has become one of the best parts of my day! I was new to weightlifting when I started 1 year ago, and since joining I've been able to build confidence in myself and to see what my body is capable of when I consistently show up and do the work. The coaches here are very knowledgeable, and they give you the tools to set you up for success. Coach Parker has created a safe and challenging environment, that pushes you to grow, without compromising on good form and solid mechanics. They truly prioritize the health and safety of their athletes above all else. I'll admit, I was intimidated to step into a CrossFit gym for the first time, but the community here is unlike anything I've ever experienced at a gym before. Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging, and they want to see you succeed! If you're looking for a gym with exceptional programming and coaching, presented in a way thats accessible for athletes of all abilities, I highly recommend CrossFit Northgate. read more

I can't say enough about CrossFit NorthGate. I started taking 1-2 classes/week about 3 1/2 years ago, and I quickly became a daily attendee. At 50, I had allowed myself to accept the myth that my peak had been met years ago, but I was wrong. With the support and programming of my coaches, I continue to see changes in my body composition, my strength and my overall fitness. The community is positive and supportive. I can't imagine having come through major back surgery and 2020-21 so well without NorthGate! read more

TLDR: Great Coaches, Nice Space, Plentiful Equipment, Coherent and Smart Programming. I'm not exactly a crosfitter but I have been coming here consistently during my lunches lately. Coming from powerlifting I have done very little of the Oly Lifts, and haven't jumped rope since I was a little girl.... Despite this, the coaches are extremely helpful and positive. Great mix of friendliness while still actually giving you solid advice, and so far no BS, as is so prevalent in the industry. The programming is really good. Strength always comes before light, high volume work. Some days are nearly pure strength, and some days are pure very light work and cardio-centric. The warm-ups are always smart and pertinent as well. Not sure how they compare to other Crossfit gyms but I like that they DO throw in the occasional heavy singles. If you're committed to all-around "fitness", don't neglect heavy work. The space is quite large and rarely crowded. There's plentiful equipment, including pvc for warmups and many squat racks. read more

Coach Ryan & Micah are amazing! They are experts in their field of health & fitness. Both coaches are extremely caring and concerned about their members progress and condition. Mobility work is definitely some you get when you get your work-out on here! This crossfit box is one the cleanest, spacious, and friendliest gym and community you will ever meet. Who doesn't want to work out with great people and at a great place? The layout is well put together. The pictures actually don't show you actually how large & great this place looks! Everything from the equipment to the bathrooms are beyond amazing. Their facility is truly spectacular. Whether you're in town and need a workout or looking for a new fitness/exercise, Crossfit Northgate is the Premier place to be. You won't be disappointed with the attention and service you will receive. Bonus: The parking for this place is actually in the back on Riley Street. read more

I joined CrossFit NorthGate about a year ago. For someone never lifting weights or working out in this type of gym I wasn't sure what to expect. I was welcomed by staff and members alike. The coaches, have been so helpful and supportive. They pushed me to do more than I ever thought I could. The gym uses an easy to access system to sign up for classes, keeping track of results and viewing the upcoming daily workouts. It is a clean place with professional equipment and classes to fit a busy schedule. I plan to continue my workouts at CrossFit NorthGate for years to come. read more

I have been a member of CrossFit Northgate since the beginning. If you are a local looking for a gym or to get into CrossFit, or a crossfitter visiting the area, I highly recommend CFNG. This gym has a strong sense of community led by knowledgable and talented coaches. The facility is state of the art and it is located in the heart of downtown Santa Rosa. As a CrossFit affiliate, they effectively emphasize and demonstrate: technique, mobility, nutrition, setting goals, measuring and recording progress. They also host and organize community events such as weightlifting and mobility clinics, social events, runs, hikes, triathlons, etc. Northgate does an excellent job meeting the needs and safely pushing the limits of all their athletes from beginner to elite. read more

Quite possibly the best crossfit gym i've ever been to yet! The attention to form and detail is the best. Ryan and Danielle kill it as coaches. Look no further for a crossfit gym. This is THE PLACE read more

I have been a this gym for 4 weeks now and haven't looked back! I was getting really bored of spinning classes and not seeing a lot of change in my overall fitness so thought I'd give Crossfit a try. I've noticed a huge difference in the way I run just from doing Crossfit workouts. The trainers here are amazing. They make sure you are doing the exercises properly so you don't hurt yourself. Mobility exercises are taught at the end of the workouts which help with range of motion and overall stiffness that results from being at a desk all day. Can't wait to see where I'll be in a few more months! read more

I was in Santa Rosa for a couple of weeks to be with my mother as she battled cancer. I was looking for a place to keep up with my Crossfit Spero (www.crossfitspero.com) regime. What I found was a great atmosphere, tough workouts, awesome coaching and some wonderful people. Ryan, Shannon and Micah were so welcoming to me, as my situation changed with the rapid decline of my mother's health. Unfortunately, my mom passed away during my stay. Fortunately, Crossfit North Gate was the best outlet for me to get away from the pain of my losing my mother, if only for a couple of hours a week. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me blend in and feel like a part of the team at North Gate. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town! read more

Beautiful facility with knowledgable trainers who take time to instruct, correct, and motivate. I felt very comfortable joining the class as a beginner (and a female, which can be intimidating). Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Ryan is a really attentive and supportive trainer. Highly recommend! read more

CrossFit NorthGate - Trainers Near Me - Santa Rosa, California

I had resisted CrossFit generally in the past because of mixed reviews from people I knew, but I was interested in checking out CrossFit Northgate specifically after reading the reviews online and going through their website. I contacted Ryan over email, we chatted on the phone, I tried out an intro class and 3 months later I am still going 5/6 days a week. All the coaches I've had (Ryan, Dani, Elijah) are top notch. They all know what they're doing and the most important thing (for me) is that they make sure I'm doing the movements correctly and safely. They know how to pick out the specific tweaks I need to make to my form so that I stay injury free and set myself up for long term success. And it is long term - there are no shortcuts - if you want sustainable changes and find the best version of yourself. If you want coaches who know what they are doing, who actually care about your progress and you as a person, and have a good time doing it, then this is the place for you. The workouts are tough and the mental struggle is real, but it's totally worth it. I look forward to my 5:30 class every day. Come check this place out! read more

Friendly staff and community that makes the group workout environment very inviting and welcoming. The facilities are extremely clean and sanitized. Central location in Downtown Santa Rosa makes it easy to get to after work, very helpful that they have their own parking lot. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to switch up their workout routine. Great coaches, great people, great workouts. read more

What an amazing gym! Ryan and the other coaches are talented, dynamic and truly care about the progress of each member. Mobility is emphasized before and after each workout. I always feel comfortable asking questions when I need help with a movement. I also feel safe because the exercises are properly explained and demonstrated before each workout. Most importantly, the facility is always clean and tidy, and the bathrooms are spa-like. There is always nice, new hair pins and hair ties, just in case you forget one! There's a hair dryer and other accessories, the toilet paper is soft, the list goes on.... Two thumbs up! read more

I started at Crossfit about a year ago after things started to reopen. I came in with very little knowledge about lifting technique and with a lot of room for improvement athletically. Coaches Ryan, Dani, and Elijah are all awesome. They are both amazing athletes and great teachers. They take the time to watch each individual and help correct mistakes all the while leading a dynamic and  challenging hour-long group workout. The community at NorthGate is a big part of why my rating is without a doubt 5 stars. The range of athletes vary from beginners to competition level, but everyone works just as hard and in unison. There is a certain energy that you get from putting in all that effort with a group of people that is much different from other gym experiences. Athletes are encouraged to work at their own pace and skill level. The gym is spacious and fully equipped with state of the art equipment. They have been taking proper precautions throughout the last year to keep the space safe and running. I would recommend Crossfit NorthGate to anyone looking to challenge themselves physically and improve their overall health. The workouts are tough, but the results make the effort worth it! read more

Nice studio type CrossFit gym. Good vibe and friendly community. Will continue to drop in every time I'm in town.

Excellent, clean, well equipped facility. I have dropped in here while traveling on business and have always had a great experience. Very nice staff, and owner who takes pride in his product. This box is right downtown in Santa Rosa. If you are in the area, don't go anywhere but CrossFit NorthGate! read more

I had been visiting my friend and did a drop-in in CrossFit NorthGate. I loved the place! it's a brand new location in downtown Santa Rosa. State of the art equipment, and nice bathroom.
