Frankly, my experience was just terrible. The Yelp profile, website and signs at the gym all state the gym sells day passes. I from out of town so a day pass was all I could use or need. I went to the gym in the early afternoon and told an employee that I would like to buy a day pass. He simply told me he was too busy and didn't want to sell me one. Seriously!! I asked him how much a day pass usually cost. He said $20. I said "can't I just give you $20 so I can work out?" He said no because he would still have to enter my information into their system and he said he didn't want to do that. I didn't argue but just left. Thought to myself that if you don't want to sell day passes don't advertise that you sell them. That result in a waste of my time even going there. Not a customer friendly experience! read more

I've been here 5 times as a guest of my friend who is a member. So for the good, some of the best stuff, top notch sbd equipment and leg machines. Clean, never really busy and everyone puts their weights back. Two bathrooms, no showers. The bad, the vibe is kinda weird. Some nice friendly people, some people that keep to themselves, but definitely some big ego gear heads. It's very cliquey, like transferring to a new high school. Lots of stares and weird looks, social awkwardness at its finest. It's a good place for an experienced lifter who can block out all the noise. Could be intimidating for newbies or people looking for a friendlier atmosphere. read more

This is a true, no b.s. bodybuilding gym. I'm old school and started lifting weights during the 80's with the likes of Rachel McLish and the original crowd of female bodybuilders. I don't go to the gym to look in the mirror or be looked at, I go to lift to failure, sometimes need a spot which I am happy to reciprocate and be on my way. I stretch at home, do cardio in my pool and only go here to lift weights. It is absolutley one of the only true body building gyms around. Even before moving when I lived in San Francisco we didn't have one, most of them are full of damn cardio equipment. So annoying. If they lost half that stuff and expanded their free weight section I'd have been happy, but no. So now that I am in Santa Rosa I will be a lifelong member. read more

Saiyan Strength gym is an incredible facility with a wide array of powerlifting, strongman, and traditional and new-age mechanical equipment. The staff are always super friendly and buddies with everyone in the gym. You'll see them routinely going through, vacuuming and cleaning off equipment, and even working out with everyone else during their down-time. EQUIPMENT: There are roughly 8 squat racks, 4 benches for barbell benching, 3 complete sets of dumbbells form 10lb to 100lb+. Each set of dumbbells spans roughly 30 feet of racks that are ~4 feet tall. There are 2 deadlift platforms with barbell jacks behind the benches and I believe 4 weightlifting platforms that also all have their own barbell jacks. The weightlifting platforms are made up of a durable wood-like substance for performing lifts, with a padded foam-like substance to absorb the shock from the loaded, dropped barbell. Unfortunately it ends up being very difficult to avoid lateral movement of the barbells after dropping it to the padding, this very often results in the weights bouncing, then landing very loudly on the wood platform. This can be avoided if you are very diligent and calculated when dropping your weight. There are a variety of barbells, color-coded for your convenience! This is great for me. With all my training history in a very conventional gym that had only one type of barbell, I require the color coding until I'm able to better memorize the different barbell types. They've got deadlift bars, (blue), powerlifting bars (black), men's weightlifting bars (red), and quite a few more. PVC pipes, barbell collars, and foam rollers are located near the weightlifting platforms. There is an indescribable variety of machine equipment I will mostly neglect to mention. Some of my favorites include the single leg press machine, and the belt squat. As far as strongman equipment they don't disappoint. I believe there's 3 different types of logs, a yoke, sandbags up to 300lbs, and equipment for bear-hug-carries. There are sleds for pushing, sleds for pulling, and even an axle. This gym is 24 hours if you are a member and buy a key fob. The price is higher than most traditional gyms. However, this is far from a traditional gym. read more

Jaw hit the floor when I came here for the first time. I'd only ever been to conventional gyms and CrossFit gyms prior to this, and had no idea a gym could even look like this. You instantly get inspired to lift all the weights and do all the things. This gym is also the cleanest I have ever encountered. The whole gym is really a labor of love. Yes, it is intimidating for total newbies like me when every single person at the gym has traps that connect their ears to their shoulders. However, I am convincing myself to stick with it and push through the awkwardness. Everyone starts out as a beginner. Also, because everyone is jacked, there are plenty of people to use as resources. Best gym I will probably ever have the chance to belong too. They have everything you need and more, including top of the line equipment and plenty of space. Even during peak hours you still have space to get your workout in. Very clean, I had to laugh at the review bashing the cleanliness because I've been going here over a year and not once did it seem dirty. Although the gym may appear to be intimidating- everyone there is easy to talk to and happy to help give pointers and tips. This is such an awesome gym! First off, let's talk about the organization of all the machines. They have machines that are all in the same area for targeting certain parts of the body, so it is easy to identify which section of the gym you will be using. No need to walk all over the gym hunting for specific machines for your muscle group you're working on because it's all right next to each other. The cleanliness of this gym is really superb in my opinion. All of the machines and the gym itself present a very clean, organized feeling and atmosphere. The staff here are very nice. The first time that I came to the gym, they politely walked me around and showed me all of the equipment and were able to answer all of my questions. They do their best to maintain the gym while delivering excellent customer service. Overall I love this gym. It's not overcrowded at all, I really appreciate the fact that it is a 24 hour gym which means I can come at any time that I want to. This gym isn't for the 24 hour fitness folks who just need to selfie in the mirrors and walk on the treadmills. If you are looking for a real strength gym that has calibrated plates, mono lifts and platform ready benches this is the place. they have everything you'll need along with the stairmasters and row machines and all the fun cardio stuff. Amazing vibe and everyone is super friendly. This gym is huge with a ton of equipment for your needs. Although I loved the gym, I quickly found out how "clicky" it is and even had someone bully me over some writing on the chalk wall. Worst part was, the bully doesn't even own the gym so why regular gym goers feel they can tell new members what to do and don't do is beyond me. I made The owner aware, not that it changed anything. Sadly I can't give my money to an establishment that allows its patrons to treat people negatively. Now I'm at another gym after only 1 month with them! read more
