I've been a member for 2 yrs after coming from another box. The improvement I've done since I started at this gym has been amazing with the help of the coaches and the awesome fellow athletes. If you are looking for a place to work out, have fun and focus on improving form and performance, this is the place to be. You have the option of doing the daily wods, attend yoga classes and running club (which are included in the membership), they also have a strength program which helps tremendously. If you are in the westchase area and looking for a gym to start your New Years resolution, I highly recommend this place. Go check it out!!

The workout....first time experience and it was amazing

If you are curvy, she makes sure you stay that way, provided that's what you want. Don't get me wrong, her program is not easy and you will work for every muscle you gain or pound you lose. I've gotten several comments about my legs and I know that's because of her training. I've been training with her about 7 months and i've seen better results with her than 2 years with another trainer. We are still working to get me where I want to be but I have no doubt we will. I highly recommend Tatiana if you want results tailored specifically to your goals.

She listened and tailored my workouts and meal plans to do exactly that. She uses HIIT training and cardio, and she knows how to use everyday items to get every muscle working. The meal plans she created are easy for me to follow. My favorite recipe she shared with me recently was vegan stuffed poblano peppers.... She also will train you virtually which is great for me when I am away or on vacation. She is encouraging even when you think you can't lift anymore. I was looking for someone who would listen but still challenge me, and I found the best combination in Tatiana Scott.

At the ripe old age of 53, I've become increasingly determined to live to 100 with vitality. I…read morethink I might have a few genetic factors working in my favor, but I still need a plan and it needs to be executed consistently if I'm going to meet this milestone. The two twin pillars of this plan are predictably diet and exercise. For the past six months, I've been fine tuning the diet and am happy with the results. Now the attention has been turned to exercise. I've been running one marathon a year for several years now and I wanted to up my expectations from "finish" to "run a sub-4 hour marathon." That is going to take a lot of work for me and a different approach. That's where CrossFit enters the picture. I want to focus on strengthening my core and building up some anaerobic explosive strength to complement my normal running routine. CrossFit 1525 is the second CrossFit gym I tried out and I quickly decided it was the one for me because of its closeness to my place, its ample space and equipment and the overall ambiance of the experience. Although CrossFit puts a lot of emphasis on Olympic and power lifting (something completely new to me), I've yet to encounter a lug-head lifter/body builder type here. The 5:00 AM class I attend usually has twice as many women attending as men and it's a very supportive yet still competitive environment. Nikki, the owner, has assembled an excellent staff of trainers and created a culture of hard work that is still fun. I've met a lot of cool people I never would have otherwise and am also relishing the social aspect of this. As a newbie, I'm eating humble pie. I consider myself more fit than most guys my age, but when I struggle through a WOD (workout of the day) and typically finish, completely exhausted, at or near the back end of the class (times are rigorously recorded), I can see what a wonderful opportunity for improvement is in my near future (yes - I am putting a big positive spin on this). After three weeks, I'm seeing and feeling big differences in my body. With the exception of a bad rope burn on my ankle from rope climbing (wear higher socks next time, silly), I've also not injured myself because of good instruction on many skills that I've never encountered before. My shorter term goals are to put on 10 lbs of lean muscle mass and run a personal best in the 2013 Houston Marathon. I believe CrossFit 1525 is just the recipe I need. There are numerous things I can't do yet like handstand push-ups, but there is a "scaled" version of every exercise so that all can participate and get benefit. Has it helped my running? Just this morning I was pleased at my ability to explode into a sprint over the last 200 m of a six mile run and finish really strong. That wasn't happening before I started going to CrossFit 1525 four times a week.

But I had a…read morenegative experience trying to contact the Westchase flagship location about a serious concern connected to my experience at another affiliated location. The concern involved safety, conduct, and how issues involving staff or members were being handled. I made four separate calls to four different people, was unable to get a hold of anyone, left my callback information, and explained generally that I was trying to raise a serious concern that I believed warranted awareness or oversight. I did not receive a callback or meaningful follow-up. I am not reviewing any one person individually. My concern is that I attempted to raise a serious issue through multiple channels connected to the flagship location and was met with silence. With time, what stands out to me most is not only the original situation, but the lack of meaningful follow-up when I tried to raise it through what I understood to be appropriate channels. That kind of non-response leaves things unresolved. It also leaves the person who raised the concern carrying the consequences alone. In a martial arts environment, especially one involving physical training and close contact, trust and safety depend not only on what happens on the mat, but also on whether concerns can be raised and handled responsibly. From my experience at the time, I did not feel there was a reliable process for escalation, accountability, or member support.
