Staff offer awesome customer service and are always ready and willing to help and answer questions. I had difficulty at another location, and ended up transferring to this location because the staff were so supportive. One tip that I would offer is, members should try going during the day (9a-3p) if their goal is to avoid crowds if possible, as that seems to be when it is least busiest. But this location is always buzzing with dedicated members coming in for their workouts. I love that this location offers machines that have digital rep accounts built in. I have been to some locations that don't show rep counts at all, so that you have to keep count yourself each time you exercise on the machine. This is super helpful, as jt can be a bit annoying sometimes if you are focused on what you're doing and sometimes lose count, like I do. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5, because the machines at this location seem to be a bit older. They still get the job done. But machines like their Calf Raises and Glutes machines here seems to be much older and much more "rickety" than at other locations. These machines do not run as smooth so that it makes for a more awkward and less smooth transition when using these machines. Hoping these particular machines at this location will get a major upgrade some point in the near future.

I initially started with their highest membership to have access to tanning and because I go back home to CA from time to time, figured I could use it while I travel, too! The Crunch by my old home in CA is the one of few locations I guess that does not honor this membership I had and had to pay out of pocket (not a ding against this location) so when I got back to NC I downgraded my membership to the basic plan (I also have a membership to Palm Beach Tan so I didnt need their tanning - this location only had stand up beds?). There was a charge to downgrade my membership which was odd but not worried about it.. anyways - they have squat racks that LINE the back wall of the gym, maybe a trillion treadmills, stairmasters and ellipticals which makes getting on one during the 5PM after work rush never an issue! On top of the stairmaster, you can overlook the sea of machines! Some OG machines and new ones that will count your reps! Honestly a huge plus to have more than one or two of a machine.. This location has two SEPARATE rooms for cycling and group classes IN ADDITION to the HIIT/personal-group training designated area! The layout is amazing and feels like this location has literally everything you need and more - aside from a reverse hyper lol! And if this all hasn't sold it for you already... the locker rooms have saunas saunas are CLEAN and odorless which I personally think it amazing. Womens locker room have a TON of lockers of different sizes (bring your own lock - this isnt Lifetime Fitness) and changing rooms and showers! And not to mention the giant selfie mirror!! I know its not what its intended use is, but Id be lying if I said thats not its designated purpose is. Always so happy with this location!! Thanks University team for keeping an amazing gym so clean and easy to always come back to!

Was told I have to pay a late fee. No other charges mentioned. Also, said I would be able to use the gym till the end of the month. June 24th came around and they charged me a monthly fee. I call them. And they cancelled the membership again, although you can't cancel over the phone. She said she will request a refund for the charges. I had my bank reverse because it wasn't authorized. It's August 14th, and I was charged the monthly fee + a late fee. My account still shows active. I call them. A girl named CeCe (who conveniently says she's a manager) says your account will be closed 30 days after your last payment. My last payment was the beginning of June, the late fee. More than 30 days ago. At this point I can see they are trying to keep my account open and clearly not honor a 2 time cancellation. This is the worst gym I've been apart of.

Once I decided that I felt confident that I would be able to continue working out on my own and expressed that I no longer wanted their services, they did everything in their power to complicate the process of terminating the contract. They came up with any and every type of excuse that they could to try to continue to get money from me long after I stopped attending the gym and utilizing their services. I am currently in a situation where I told them months ago I wanted to end my contract, and they then required a 30 day notice so another months payment, and then after receiving that, they have taken 2 additional payments out of my account and are trying to say the contract was never closed out to continue taking money out of my account.
