I moved from Atlanta and pleased to know that a FC was 10 minutes from my home in NC. It's never crowded. Always has equipment available and the dry sauna is EVERYTHING. It's very clean and the staff is super nice and helpful. read more

The gym is experiencing a water outage because of construction going on nearby. No water fountains working, but they are making a killing by still charging for their waters instead of providing them to their members. This isn't the best gym, but I still come sometimes because it's cheap and has decent equipment for chest day. Not only is the water not working and they are charging full price for their bottles of water, but their chest press that I came to use is also broken... again. Drove 40 minutes round trip to get here, but now I'm leaving after just getting here to see this disaster. Over crowded gym that you have to wait for equipment every single workout. Only benefit is that it's cheap. read more

I've tired Leaving after today 30 mins late is crazy This gym hasn't gone 1 week without being late, or the equipment is down Crunch fitness here i come Starting the New Years off right read more

Updating my review because they do allow you to pay to enter the gym. $15 a day $40 for the week. They have a wide range of equipment but this gym is almost ALWAYS packed. It's pretty clean but the staff needs to be re-racking the weights or enforcing the customers to clean up after themselves. ONE BIG THING is the time people spend on the equipment, there are people creating content or on their phones and not even lifting so if you're in a rush or wanting to get a quick workout in, this is not the place. They don't enforce any kind of structure. read more

If you're here just for work out, I will try super early in the morning or really late at night. Even the staff is better the later you go during the day between hours of three and seven. I'll say it's a bit hectic and the staff is not as helpful and friendly. The look more like security, making sure that your membership is paid before you walk in. I haven't seen any trainers no one that works there look like they can train anyone or if they even work out. read more

For $10 a month this gym has a lot to offer. Cardio cinema Women's workout room Spin classes Various fit camp classes And More This location has a very open concept floor plan so you can easily stay socially distanced while working out. I really admired that they had a lot of cleaning stations so the guests can easily wipe down the equipment. A great way to feel safe ! Other pros : day care , large parking lot read more

I love going to the gym so I signed up. This location is constantly full and the machines are always taken. Oh it didn't matter what time of the day or night. After 3 weeks I cancelled my membership. read more

Tried to enjoy a Sunday afternoon workout but a "commotion" ensued at the Basketball court and CMPD was called. Last weekend guy was taken away in handcuffs from the same court. Fitness Connection - Gyms Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

So I just joined yesterday and I have to say this gym is NICE!!! So as you all know the gyms all across the US has been closed due to Covid-19. I just moved to this state about a week ago however in Jersey (Jersey girl!) the gyms opened up about 2 weeks ago. Needless to say, I needed to get back in the gym (as safely as possible) ASAP! First let's start off with, this gym is HUGE! When I first walked in I was automatically greeted by the gentleman at the front desk. Alex (who was AMAZING btw) showed me around and was very patient with me while I asked a ton of questions. Afterwards, I had to ask the million dollar question "How Much Is it per month!!??" The answer I was given blew me away- $10 A MONTH! I could not believe it! I even told them I wasn't looking for a contract because I didn't want to be locked in and guess what?????? He still said it was $10 A MONTH for all of this! (See pics). Today was the first day that I worked out and was very satisfied. The machines/facilities were clean, staff was helpful and made sure people wore their masks. They even had a "woman's section" where women could work out comfortably and with other women If they should choose. Overall, great gym - glad I joined! read more

A lady who works in the front desk wouldn't take my phone number down since I forgot my tag to scan, she was very disgusting & told me "No im not putting your number in the system, pull out your phone" after this she kept flirting with a customer, horrible customer service so I walked out & didn't argue. read more

Fitness Connection - Very disgusting and rude - Gyms Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

fitness connections staff is super nice to me any time I forget my belt there always happy to help me and get me a belt form the front desk, the equipment is always clean. read more

Two things that really upset me: men will walk into the women's section of the gym and steal equipment to take into the main gym and weights are spread all over the place. Nothing is ever put away and I have to literally search to find two matching dumbbells. Staff is polite but they could do more to keep this gym organized and keep men out of the women's only gym. read more

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. An employee put my wife on my guest list and the upper management wouldn't honor it. They were willing to lose a customer over it. read more

Tons of equipment. Overcrowded. Understaffed. Never any free weights available. Tons of potential but really poorly managed. Would not recommend joining this gym. read more

Children at not supervised in the kids club. When I walked in to pick up my toddler, she was stuck in a theater chair for so long that she peed her pants. She was hysterical, had been crying for a long time and had a terrible first experience. when confronted, no one apologized or acknowledged what happened. I left furious because they didn't do their job; a child could be injured and they would never know. If you have younger children, just know that they'll be left unattended, especially in the dark theater room. I'm highly enraged and disappointed. read more

Solid place I've been working out here for over a year and it's a solid gym. It gets pretty busy most of the day but I'm usually in there pretty early and it's not bad. It's a big gym with plenty of machines, it could use a few more racks and a better turn around time on getting stuff fixed but all together pretty good! read more

I like the fact that they have a section set aside for women. I do not like the fact that men sometimes meander to get equipment for the pulley machines. Even with staff was present and doing a tour. A man came inside the dedicated women's space for pulley equipment and the staff said nothing to him. I see no difference between him going into the women's locker room is still a dedicated space for women and he's not allowed. This has happened at least three different occasions the arrogance of some men. I feel that they should've gone to the front desk and asked them to go and check for extra equipment. There should be a reminder sign indicating no men allowed in this particular area read more

I wouldn't even bother coming here. If you have a busy schedule 9/10 the gym will be packed every time you come. When you try to cancel your subscription they will give you the run around. On top of the weird manager asking me questions about a previous account I never even paid for, I'm good on it all together. read more

BEWARE OF HIDDEN CHARGES! This is the absolute worst gym in terms of hidden costs and fees. They start charging without any notice to you at all. 40$ cleaning fee every year. Also, keep in mind there is a 30 day notice period so I have pay for one more month even after cancelling. Bonus point, there have really bad customer service. I has on hold 1 hour 40 minutes just to get to talk to someone!! DO NOT JOIN! read more

This company will rip you off! I cancelled my membership during Covid (Mar, 2020) and to my shock they were charging me $10 / month until I discovered it in Mar 2024. They not only refuse to refund me 4 years of membership fees but they said, as per policy, they will charge me another month's fee as per policy. My fault that I did not keep some sort of record of the cancellation and that I am not checking my credit card bills on a monthly basis. My warning is that Fitness Connection is very happy to keep charging even though you may be dead. No courtesy call or notification that you are not showing up, clearly they don't care about you working out they care about stealing your money. read more

Fantastic, affordable, clean gym. Imagine fitness connection like a step up from another $10 chain gym who shall remain nameless. The facility itself is huge complete with workout room for classes, cycling room, cardio movie area, women's only area, 2 racquetball courts and a full size basketball court. That's in addition to the normal cardio area, free weights, multiple benches & squat racks etc. The amount of equipment makes it convenient for you to find what you need even at the busy times. The 24hr aspect of it is the main reason I go. I'm able to come at 5am Mon-fri. If you're looking for an affordable yet great gym this is it. read more

This gym has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. A friend of mine and I arrived at 5am as we usually do during the week to workout before work. My friend had been charged her annual fee but the charge was pending and because it hadn't cleared yet, the young lady at the front desk refused to let her workout. Even after physically seeing the pending charge, she refused to allow her to work out. I offered to allow her to use my guest pass and was denied. According to the young lady at the front desk, it was against policy because my friend had a membership. I understand protocol and policy, but Ms.Maam at the front desk was beyond rude and made my friend feel embarrassed and small. It doesn't help that we are both women of color. When asked to provide her name for reporting purposes, she refused because she didn't feel "safe". It's giving heavy on the racism and we will not be returning. read more

Be shrewd. Designate an account and debit card just for them and if you should decide you want to cancel especially when it comes to personal training Close the card and the account so they can not continue to charge you because that's what happened to me but it really is the best gym in town Because the offerings that they have you just aren't gonna find any place else But when somebody decides to cancel that should be respected and I found that it was not. But now after I've gained weight and looked at some other gyms even this new gym up the road does not compare I probably will still end up going back when I get ready to get in shape again but like I said be shrewd read more

Was in town traveling so I came to try to play some ball. Got signed up for a trial and then they told me the court was "members only" even though it doesn't say that anywhere on their policies. If you're gonna have a policy like that, at least have the decency to put it up somewhere! read more

Great gym, great equipment. I have been going here for last 4 years. Yes, the weights are all over the place, but that's on the members. For $10 a month, I don't expect management to be able to hire enough people who will be reracking weights all the time. People have to behave better to deserve better. I mean coming, some folks take dump and forget to flush. Really?? WTF. read more

I train here every time I am in Charlotte. For a good long while, the staff gave me guest passes, because I am not from the area. Finally, in spite of living in Canada, I decided to get a membership since paying real daily rate would ultimately be the same. The parking lot always looks busy, yet there really is a whole lot of room in the gym. It's great to have a 2nd/3rd "home" when I am away, so that the fitness journey doesn't have to stop while I'm away. read more

It is the worst GYM ever, and they make it extremely hard to do a cancellation. I went to the customer service at the Gym then told them I want to cancel my membership, but they refused to help me out and told me go online and do it yourself, so I went online to see how to do it but was too hard. Anyway, I canceled it online but they didn't sent me a confirmation and try to call them many times but none answered my phone very bad company and customer service. I think the company makes money from scam people and keep collecting money and interest even if you canceled. I don't recommend this Gym and Be aware of what they are doing and find better Gym that respects their customers & members. read more

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, reracks their weights. I know it's not the employees faults but someone needs to enforce it. I spend half my workout just wandering around looking for the weights I need. If you need a dumbbell under 50 pounds good luck finding it read more

This is decent sized gym with lots of equipment and space. The WORST thing about this gym is the fact that no one likes to put up or rerack their weights and the staff doesn't enforce it at all. The staff keeps it pretty clean as far as the restrooms and showers but they really need someone on staff dedicated to putting random weights up that are left thrown around. read more

Front desk staff, espically the guy who worked 07/11/23 morning at 7am is beyond rude. I check in and start my workout and then realize I would like a drink. I go to the cooler pick up my drink , no one is there, instead the front desk guy is on his phone walking in circles near the bathroom, so I put my drink up, and after like 30 minutes I see he is back up there, so I get my drink, I say good morning blah blah I'm being very nice! Not one word nothing, then walks away doesn't even tell me the machine is ready for payment, didn't offer a receipt, then got back on his cell phone. Of course I don't expect much from the staff here but it was too early for the attitude and the lip smacking for having to work. I will no longer buy my supplements or drinks from the gym again. I've been going there longer than he works there. read more

Overall okay gym but as stated the weights are ALWAYS missing to the point I have to settle for lower weights or struggle with higher weights. They're SUPER busy most of the time (not their fault but still annoying). They're hours are also horrible, by the time you get home from work or school and make dinner they're closing in an hour. read more

I bought two supplements from Fitness Connection. Both of them are cheaper in the official site. I bought ISO100 Hydrolyzed for $37.00 while we can buy it from official site for $30.00. And I bought XTEND BCAA for $31.00 while we can buy it from official site for $22.00. I discourage you to buy any supplements from Fitness Connection. read more

The new location is large and more welcoming than their previous location. There's also a women's only work out area for those that done feel comfortable out in the open. The "green" area offers ropes for all members and not just private clients of the personal trainers so that's a bonus. In addition, be locker rooms offer individual changing rooms and showers with doors on instead of just curtains. The saunas are still undergoing inspections but should open soon. read more

These bad reviews are hilarious! Guys, this gym is $10 down and $10 a month. There's tons of equipment, a basketball court, cycling room, fitness class room, racquetball room, and EVEN a cinematic theater room where you can watch movies on a huge screen, in a dark room while you work out. Where else can you get that kind of deal? My only complaints are that they don't have enough free weights, there's no mats or slam balls, no steps to use either in the open gym area. I use those regularly for workouts and I'm not sure why they don't put them out. So just lacking some equipment. But otherwise it's great. It's got a lot. read more

Unfortunately I would not recommend this gym to anyone. It has an open concept where each section of the machines and equipment are facing each other which is awkward. We cancelled our membership in Jan. 2023 and the card is still getting charged. I called the customer service line & they said their record showed it had been cancelled. I said the card was currently getting charged and they said it did not show anything on their end. Strangely enough they asked to confirm the email on the account, I gave the correct email and they said it was wrong. Stated it was a hotmail & asked for my address to check if there was another account under the same name. Which apparently there is not. In the end, they did not offer any solution to the refund the charges or direct me to someone who could help and hung up. I consider myself a patient person but that is unacceptable and no way to conduct business. read more
