I started at CrownTown CrossFit September 2024 and in three months I have dropped from 207 to 189 pounds and my waist went from 37 to 34 inches. In addition my compound lifts (squat, deadlift, bench-press) are increasing every week. I've never seen progress this quickly whether I tried to do it on my own or with an expensive personal trainer. CrossFit introduced me to Olympic style weightlifting at first I was hesitant because it's very technical but the coaches are careful to monitor your form and teach you the correct movements. The community is also very supportive and everyone motivates each other to do better. We use Telegram, Zen Planner, and SugarWOD to communicate, schedule, and track progress. It's neat to see the leaderboard on the screens. CrownTown CrossFit makes working out fun as hell. The music they play is always really good too. My fitness goals for the year are to drop to a 30 inch waist and make it to the 1000 pound club. read more

Class Schedule (With a LOT of classes, it's easy to find a time that fits your schedule. A lot of other crossfit gyms offer a limited number of classes. Been here over five years and it gets better every year. Wayne is super knowledgeable and all the coaches are helpful and friendly. We are always getting new and update equipment and the community is so supportive and encouraging. CrossFit is for everyone and for any and every fitness level. Best Gym in Corona. Let me tell you why. If you've never tried crossfit: The best way to actually want to keep working out and improving your health is by seeing results. Once you have results you're hooked and you don't dread the gym anymore. The best way to get results is to outsource the hard work (programming and skill development) to an expert. That's what crossfit gives you. Expert programming and practice for a fraction of what you would ever pay a trainer. ( But if you want one on one training, they have that too. ) And every single movement is scalable. Every single workout has options for any level. It's been thought out and can be customized for any person at any age or level. The value in that is honestly kind of remarkable when you compare it to other fitness options. If you've done crossfit before and are looking for a new gym: I've been doing crossfit on and off since 2013. I've moved quite a bit and have dropped in to other boxes all over the country. Have been going here for over a year and absolutely love them! They have a woman's morning class called Powered by Women that is taught by Cindy and she is the best. She keeps everyone motivated and has amazing workouts. The workouts are challenging but you can go at your own pace and it isn't intimidating. CROSSFIT CROWNTOWN!!!!! This place is beyond incredible, better than words could ever say or that I could convey here, but I am going to try.... I have a handful of things that make me a unique gym goer, severe asthma among those things, but my desire to change my life, get healthier overall and gain strength/control of my life meant I had to do something. 3 years ago as I drove down the street and saw people running, I thought to myself, I should join that boot camp and sent an email the next day. Coach Wayne scheduled a time that worked for me to come in, introduced me to the gym and told me it was actually "CrossFit," not boot camp, which meant absolutely nothing to me. He assured me they would teach me everything I needed to know - proper form, mechanics and technique so that I would gain strength and not get injured in the process. From that day one conversation to now, CrossFit Crowntown has done all of that and MORE. I was paired up with Coach Cindy to start my journey and let me just say, CINDY METCALF is not only an incredible coach, but a friend, a beast and an absolute inspiration. She has learned my quirks, knows me better than I know myself, knows when I am not living up to my potential and knows how to coach me through the good times... and bad. She teaches private sessions, and these sessions are worth every cent. I never meant to stay on as a private client once I got the basics down, but in summer of 2018 I triple fractured my foot (NOT at the gym), and was still welcomed in with open arms, cast on my foot and all. Cindy modified every single workout to where I was in my healing process and never once got frustrated or annoyed with my inhibited abilities. I was able to stay in shape through a serious injury and come out stronger than ever. After going through that journey with her I was absolutely spoiled, and decided to stick with her a private sessions coach. For anyone who needs something more than a gym, a place to help motivate you, work with you, be flexible with you and your abilities, help you develop as a healthy, strong individual, CrossFit Crowntown and their coaches is the place for you. Trust me, if I, a girl who knew nothing about CrossFit has learned it, you can too. A friend pushed me into checking out this Gym. Years ago I went to regular big-chain gyms. This is TOTALLY different from anything I have ever done. Over the past 5-10 years my fitness level has really declined...too much office work and pencil pushing. I must admit, this gym seemed pretty intimidating at 1st. However, Wayne (the owner / lead trainer) convinced me to stick around and give it a try. Every exercise can be scaled to any given person's level of fitness. The class sizes are small and well supervised. The bottom line is, no matter how in or out of shape you are, Crossfit Crowntown will deliver a hardcore workout that kicks your butt and gets you results! Wayne and his staff are amazing. These are people who are in phenomenal shape, know exercise physiology like the back of their hands, and seem to really care about the success of their members. Plus, unlike so many other gyms, you don't get a sense of inflated egos and attitudes. By that I mean that not only are Wayne and his staff really cool people, so far, the other members (some of which are also in fantastic shape) have all been really down to earth and helpful. Prior to joining Crowntown, I had a regular gym membership for years. In my first six months as a member, I saw a difference in my body that years at 24 hour fitness couldn't deliver. Even more so, I felt better overall. I am still super far from where I want and need to be fit and strength wise, but the strides that I've taken here are noteable. The great thing about working out at Crowntown is the fun atmosphere. Never has an hour long workout seemed so fast!! Love the vibe... The valuable coaching and attention that you receive at Crowntown is unmeasurable. All of the coaches are very knowledgeable, helpful and beyond friendly. They are all super fit and strong, but don't let that intimidate you! Haha. All of the coaches are very, very welcoming and each really do push you to strive harder. It is evident that they take pride in their coaching skills and in the development of their members. In addition to the coaches, the fellow members cheer you on and help you get through those tough WOD's. The programming at Crowntown is second to none and it is evident in the feeling that you have after successfully completing a tough workout. Even with the scaled WOD's that I complete, I feel worked yet accomplished at the same time! There are many classes that are offered at Crossfit Crowntown (crossfit, women's crossfit, basefit, mobility, olympic weightlifting, endurance, yoga). What an added bonus!! I was a beginner, but canceled due to a back injury. Here is my story. (Updated) my back injury did NOT happen at the gym. I had injured my back before signing up and the pain showed up literally a day after signing up. Sorry for the confusion. I will own up to having been a difficult customer / member. I was only there for a week but had to pause my member ship due to a bad back injury. I eventually had to cancel my member ship. Canceling was a bit of a hassle mostly because I forgot how it's done and got confused after I paused my membership. Rose was cool majority of the time, patient with all my questions that I could have easily answered my self. She replies to texts relatively quickly, both her and Brittney. I trained with Brittney the few days I went but training with her was only slightly enjoyable. She was sweet at first, but because I was having a hard time getting the hang of the work out moves (I was an extreme beginner, I REALLY sucked at it) she went from sweet, to trying really hard not to roll her eyes and look annoyed. Her tone changed, her vibe changed. It was no longer enjoyable to work out because her body language and tone was so discouraging after that(you could hear it in her voice that she wasnt sincere any more when "trying" to encourage me). If you are a beginner like me and you get Brittney... try real hard not to suck. Once my back is healed, I'll be finding a new gym. I do like how open and relaxed the gym is. They use the whole lot to their advantage when they can, which was nice. The other members were polite, and kept to themselves when working out. The gentlemen that work there that I interacted with briefly were all friendly and energetic. read more

I'm fairly new to CrossFit, having started the beginning of 2015. I needed a change to my workout routine. I decided see what CrossFit was all about and came across CrossFit CrownTown and couldn't be happier. The class times are great, offering workouts throughout the day, starting at 0515 AM. The facilities are clean, equipment is well maintained and there is plenty of equipment, even for some of the larger classes. The staff are knowledgeable and push you to try harder to better yourself. They stress that everything is scalable but they want you to push yourself to grow, gain, and excel. (I know, Wayne....I need to go deeper on my squats!). I look forward to my workouts, seeing my fellow CrossFit'ers, supporting a local business and building a better me.
