I wouldn't recommend AF to ANYONE... they franchise to anyone willing to pay and then do nothing…read morewhen something goes wrong at one of their locations. I signed up for a "free" 6-week workout program on a Monday... This included paying $698.88 for future use. I was told by the owner, Jacob Sager to begin the program the following Monday. The Friday before I was to begin, I went to the emergency room for a medical issue related to my heart. I contacted the owner the next day let him know that I needed to see a specialist and would not be able to start the program. I told him that I could get him a letter from the physician. I also told him that I would like a refund. He told me that he could postpone my start date, or I could transfer my 6-week program to someone else who I know who may want to start this program. He said that these were my only 2 options. He also told me that Anytime Fitness is very strict with refunds, and they are the reason he is not able to refund my money. I contacted AF corporate. I was told that AF corporate does not handle billing or refunds, and there was nothing that they could do to help because all locations are individually owned. Jacob also questioned me about my heart condition and tried to advise me on what medications I may need to use. He also told me that my condition is usually not life-threatening although he is not a physician. I asked for a refund, I asked for my deposit to be transferred to another client and then he could refund me, I asked if I provided a letter from my doctor if I could get a refund. In the end, he said he would not give me a refund. Jacob eventually said "worst comes to worse, I can probably just give you 699 of my own money." I spoke with Jacob and AF corporate again. I informed Jacob that corporate told me they do nothing with refunds or billing and that he would have to be the one to give me my money back. Jacob told me that he already offered me two options, as mentioned above, and would not give me my money back unless the doctor told me that I could never exercise again. And now corporate won't return my calls. So definitely find yourself a better corporation or privately owned gym

It was pre-covid and I had lots of gym friends that attended making the experience even better. After moving to the North Hills, I started attending classes at this location. However, route 8 is busy, under construction a lot, congested with lots of lights. I no longer wished to go during the afternoon, so luckily Fit 4 boxing offers classes at various times throughout the work week. This is definitely appealing for me, especially with the offering of 5am classes. This works with my work schedule and allows me to commute there in under 15 minutes since there is very little traffic at 4:40am. Now I miss my OG location. Mainly missing my support system. But the Hampton location offers more class times. The workout is very cardio centered. You will sweat and burn calories while the interactive classes move quickly. I have found that the instructors here are not as personable as their east location, and the some of the members are a bit cliquey, but the workout is still good and the early schedule offerings keeps me going.

I am happy to say that I lived through my first class to write this review!!!…read more A couple weeks ago, my BFF asked me to join her at one of her boxing classes at Fit 4 Boxing. I agreed and despite feeling nervous and intimidated to do a workout I've never even done anything remotely close to before, hauled my behind out of bed Saturday morning to get to class by 8:45am. Our instructor was Dave on this day and class was packed! I borrowed some of the wraps and gloves they had available at the gym and was ready to go. There was only one short moment where I saw my life flash before my eyes (after the warm-up, which I'm told is the worst part anyway) and the rest of it was smooth(ish) sailing. There were people of every age, body type, and fitness level l in the class. It wasn't a place where I paid the drop-in fee to be yelled at by an instructor for an hour. Not only did the instructor Dave make his rounds to assist with form and encouraging words to participants for the entire class, the owner stopped by as well, explaining to me different techniques and welcoming me for my first time. It was extremely intense, but you are able to modify it to fit your abilities and in the end you walk away feeling accomplished, sweaty and the good-kind-of-sore. Both Dave and the owner stopped me on my way out to hear my feedback about the class. You can tell they genuinely care about their clients and the experience they provide. Not to mention any of the other participants I met were upbeat and positive and there to offer encouraging words for my first time!!! This is definitely a place where it is helpful to go with a friend so you have someone to familiarize you and be by your side through an unfamiliar workout, but certainly could do alone because the staff is so helpful. They offer different packages and though they seem pricey, you can tell the people in the class that go consistently because their bodies are tight and toned. I notice a significant difference in my (naturally athletic and thin) friend whose physique is even better since regularly attending classes over the past couple months. Fit 4 Boxing is a cool gym with awesome trainers and clients where you can get a great workout and leave feeling positive and accomplished when the 15 rounds are up. Highly recommend if you are looking for something fun and effective to change up your normal routine.

Everyone seems to "know my name" kind of feel not only from the staff but the members as well. It's like an extended family. When I joined the gym, I wanted to work with a personal trainer to gain strength and get lean, (not to look like a body builder). This began my fitness journey at the end of September 2019, with Kyle Walters. Never did I ever say that I wanted to lose weight. However, with the proper nutrition, meal plans, training, encouragement and accountability from Kyle, I lost a total of 23 lbs and 15" off my body. This all the while as he increased my caloric intake 3 fold, added a cheat meal and drink once a week AND a piece of chocolate after dinner every night for 6 months. My positive results came just in time for a really special trip in February 2020, where I wore my swimsuit with confidence and I never felt better or looked better in my entire adult life. If you're looking for a trainer who is educated in the field of nutrition, health and gets real results out of his clients, then I highly recommend giving Kyle a call. If you're looking for a gym that offers a clean, fun environment then Snap Fitness Mars is for you.
