Easily the most supportive, encouraging gym I've been to thus far. I already have a great idea on fitness and training but these guys have quickly filled in the gaps with excellent coaching, classes and community. 7x7 has been beyond welcoming and answered every question. They don't let you feel isolated due to skill set and have classes for every fitness level. CrossFit sometimes can have a negative bias towards it but trust me, everyone who works or trains here wants you stronger, happier and healthier. As a primary endurance athlete who sometimes does bodybuilding style training, my fitness and body have never felt better. I plan to keep coming back to this A1 facility month after month and hitting goals. Check it out! Parking is a little tough but well worth it. They also have lockers, a small refreshment fridge and a decent sized bathroom that is clean.

There is a steam room and a massage / spa attached. Lots of good things. The reason i rate this three stars is the multiple rude female trainers who will hog equipment for their clients (eg both sides of the cable machine when they can switch out attachments on the SAME cable between sets), not let you switch in, and can often be heard talking snark about random other people. Not to mention the ones hustling for new biz who will offer unsolicited "advice" which is either plain wrong or simply annoying. Staff are a big component to how a space feels. There used to be an amazing trainer couple - both of whom brought warm, helpful energy. They are gone and there is a lot of trainer turnover constantly. There are at least three female trainers who are unpleasant should you need to use a station in proximity. None of them even look fit or healthy which is the ultimate testament to whether you should take strength or fitness advice from someone.

The facility is quite clean and the service is fantastic. There is a gymnasium, group class sessions, bike room, and a stretching room. I can't remember details other than the difference was negligible to do both and it made sense. I've gently eased myself getting back into working out. I used to train hard, 5+ days a week. Let's just say it's been a glacial progress getting back into a routine; I need to improve. Presidio YMCA is a great gym, not too crowded and it's clean. And with my son now working out 3-4 times a week before he trains with the swim team, I don't have an excuse not to go more often. Fitness goals..

I really love this gym. It's a similar concept to booking a standard workout class, but instead of…read morea class you book a pod. These pods are probably around 12ftx12ft in size and include a squat rack, bench, and weights - really everything you need to have a great strength training workout. No sharing necessary! There are a handful of cardio machines - bikes, a treadmill, climbing thing - that are spread out, and I think free game for anyone's use. I don't often see many people using these though. Also, I don't really understand how the turf and outdoor area work and would appreciate some clarity there. It seems like those areas may be designated for personal training sessions? Reservations for the pods are in 1 hour increments. It's fairly easy to get a spot booked, especially if you're flexible with the time of day - mornings can fill up quickly. Overall, this gym has a great community feel. They even have a run club, which I haven't tried but am curious about. While I want everyone to know how great this spot is, I also am afraid of the hidden gem secret getting out!

Whether you're chasing PRs or just getting started with your fitness journey, this is a great spot. Everyone at the gym is super friendly, there's tons of natural light, and the space is always kept clean. The only downside is that it's right next to B. Patisserie bakery, which can be a bit dangerous if you're trying to stay on track with your fitness goals.

In just two months, I've gone from only lifting a maximum of 15 lbs to confidently navigating the gym, knowing exactly what equipment to use and squatting a PR of 105 lbs! Sarah is incredibly intuitive in understanding her clients' needs and designed a program that constantly pushed my limits! Beyond being an exceptional coach, Sarah has such a sunny, vibrant personality that it's genuinely a pleasure to work out and do hard things with her. She challenges you, encourages you, and somehow makes every session fun. I can already see noticeable changes in my muscle definition, feel so much stronger, and have gained confidence I never thought I'd have in the gym. I truly feel like I've found my fitness coach for life!

About two months ago, I joined SF Fitness because it's the only gym in my area with a swimming…read morepool. Even though the membership costs over $100 per month, and I knew I would only be able to use it a few times each month due to my schedule, I decided it was still worth joining so I could swim. Overall, I would rate the facility about 2.5 out of 5 stars. The staff does make an effort to keep the gym clean, but because it gets so busy, some areas can still be messy at times. The main reason I joined was for the swimming pool. Unfortunately, I found that the pool is almost always crowded. I tried visiting on different days and at different times, but most of the time all the lanes were occupied. Occasionally I could swim right away, but more often I had to wait anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes before a lane became available. However, the biggest reason I'm giving this gym only 2 stars has nothing to do with the pool--it's because of security and parking. My primary transportation is an electric scooter. I initially tried driving and parking in the garage, but I repeatedly experienced problems with the parking gate. On several occasions it took me 10-15 minutes just to leave because the security gate malfunctioned and someone from the Fillmore Center had to come reset it. It was frustrating, especially when I was in a hurry. Because of that, I started riding my electric scooter instead. I used it only three times. On my third visit, I locked my brand-new scooter with a $60 security lock to the bike rack directly in front of the main entrance, where people are constantly walking in and out. After my swim, I came back and my scooter was gone. I immediately reported the theft to the front desk. They told me they were not responsible and that I needed to contact Fillmore Center Security. When I contacted them, they said they first needed a police report before they could assist me. I went to the police station, filed a report, and returned with the paperwork. I then asked what they could do to help. They said they would review the security camera footage to try to identify the person who stole my scooter. Since it happened right at the main entrance, I believed the cameras would clearly capture the incident. I was then told to come back the next day to speak with the security manager, Sean. Unfortunately, he wasn't available. After several unsuccessful attempts, I finally obtained his direct phone number from the security department. I texted Sean multiple times explaining that my insurance company could not process my claim without the surveillance footage. He repeatedly told me he would send the footage to my insurance company. Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Despite his assurances, my insurance company never received anything. Eventually, my messages went unanswered. This was extremely disappointing because obtaining the footage should have been straightforward if the security cameras were functioning properly. Without that evidence, I couldn't complete my insurance claim for my stolen scooter. At that point, I decided to cancel my membership. Because of my busy schedule, my scooter is my primary way of getting to the gym. If I don't feel confident that it will be safe--or that I'll receive meaningful assistance if something happens--it's simply not worth the risk. After reading other online reviews, I realized I wasn't the only person who had experienced security-related issues at this location. That was even more discouraging. I'm not writing this review to discourage everyone from joining SF Fitness. If you walk to the gym or have another reliable way to get there, you may have a completely different experience. My purpose is simply to warn those who rely on electric scooters or bicycles as their primary transportation. Be aware of the potential risks, and understand that if your property is stolen, you may find it difficult to get the assistance or documentation needed afterward. I genuinely hope my experience helps others make an informed decision before joining.
