We ate here twice during our week on the Leeds Liverpool canal which is a mark of how much we enjoyed it. A proper pub with great home cooked food - (apart from the chips which were frozen and a bit of a disappointment). The rest of the food was excellent and enjoyed by all. Steak pie, fish and chips, slow cooked belly pork were just some of the dishes we feasted upon but there are loads more on the menu which is supplemented by special boards and fresh sandwiches. Also popular with real ale fans, they sell Copper Dragon beers from Skipton. The Wine selection was limited but reasonably priced and quite quaffable. Food serving times are limited - 12 til 2 at lunch and 6 until 8.30 in the evening so get there early! read more
