If I could give zero stars I would. First of all we tried to get a uhaul from Lincoln but they…read moreended up giving it away to someone who walked in last minute so we had to drive all the way to Seward NE to get the uhaul. Which is about 10 extra miles out of the way not to mention we had scheduled movers to be waiting for us. It was a fight to get the extra mileage added to the ticket so we wouldn't be charged. But we had to have the truck and I had booked a month in advance so that was the most aggravating part. I also had confirmed a week prior over the phone the status. This shop is hard to find. Plugged the address in the GPS and it took us somewhere down the road. It's a part store and you have to go to the very back to get the Uhaul. The staff at the store is less than helpful or polite. The Uhaul we ended up with had been wrecked/bumper was messed up and the AC didn't work (it was 100 and raining when we moved) so overall we got a lemon of a truck. Which these were not reported to Uhaul HQ when I called their customer care number. Called Uhaul customer care. They knocked a little off the price then said they would have the manager call me. They never did. Had to drive an extra 10 mins to return said uhaul as well because the closest shop in Ankeny had a full fleet. Yeah horrible experience. Return went well everything else not so much. I am a military wife. I move. A lot. And I will never be using Uhaul again!!!! I never recommend Uhaul to anyone either!!!

Irresponsible Service Gouging My wife's Buick had a "Reduced…read moreEngine Power" message on here screen. She took it to O'Rielly's to have it hooked up for a general diagnostic, like we all do, to get an idea. Came back as a P0014 code, "Exhaust Camshaft Position System Performance" replace VVT, adjuster magnet. Regular service shop was full until the next week, so attempted to try another automative service to assist, "Meyers Automotive", BAD DECISIOIN. They looked at it, my wife called and said, the oil is low and should get an oil change, for $125, to re-evaluate it. I said, what, and oil change and at that price I said no to the oil change at that price, it can wait for regular service department for $89. She said they just told here there's a $190 diagnostic fee, but can't determine unless she gets an oil change, and re-diagnostic the car again. Then obviously, I said, what!!! An oil change and at that price, and there was no mention of hooking up for a diagnostic or a price or consent to do so, they just did. I asked her to put the manager on the phone, I talked to her about this circumstance, and she said, "we always hook up for a diagnostics", I said, did you divulge that or made contact with my wife that you'd hook up to get diagnostics, and it would be $190. She said, "No", we do that all the time..."" Apparently that the gouging costs you get with them" without your prior approval or consent. I told the manager that it was unacceptable practice to do something, charge people, without knowledge or consent, that there is a fee, or, what you are to do to your vehicle. At this time, I was appalled by their business practice and was forced to pay $190. My normal services where I get my truck and car done, free diagnostic for services, and any costs are brought to the customers attention, consent to do services, prior to doing something to your vehicle, not just charging you...So with that, Do NOT do any service with Meyers Automotive, or you will be forced to pay for services that were not disclosed.

Same experience. I finally interrupted their conversation to get help for a recall. They made me feel that it was an annoyance that I came to them for service. They are my only local choice so I bit the bullet and still had them service my truck. Recall #2 rolls around. I call them twice and get hung up on before I can even introduce myself. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt of phone issues, I attempted to schedule through chat. After asking me for my information multiple times including VIN (remember, I am a returning customer, they should have this) he tells me he will forward my request to service and they will contact me. Never happened. At this point I'm in it for the entertainment so I schedule with Onstar. No response. I sent Chevy a not so supportive response. This is a recall, GM has a defect that endangers their customers and this piece of work dealership can't be bothered to accept a phone call or a schedule. Please stay away. I sent a complaint to Chevy; haven't heard back from them either.

We purchased a 2017 Ram pickup from Meyer Automotive in Seward in June, and it was one of the…read morestrangest dealership experiences I've had. Before we arrived, I had been communicating with the dealership, so they knew exactly what we were looking for and when we would be there. The dealership itself is very nice, although there were fewer than 10 vehicles on the lot, so finding the trucks we wanted to see was easy. Our salesperson, Carlos, was friendly, professional, and the highlight of our experience. He immediately greeted us and handed us the keys for a test drive. I even asked if they needed copies of our driver's licenses or if he would be riding along, and he simply said no. I honestly haven't experienced that level of trust at a dealership in over 30 years. We looked at three trucks. The one we ultimately purchased was by far the cleanest. Another truck we drove had footprints on the headliner, and a third had hay or straw packed into the radiator, which raised some concerns about how thoroughly the vehicles had been inspected. Negotiating the price was another story. We had done our homework and knew what we were willing to pay. Carlos involved the sales manager, who repeatedly claimed they would be "losing money" if they accepted our offer. When they initially refused, we thanked Carlos for his time and walked out. As we were getting into our vehicle, Carlos came running out to tell us the manager had agreed to our price, so we returned to complete the purchase. Unfortunately, the surprises didn't end there. During the paperwork, we were presented with an administrative fee that we had previously been told would not apply and that had never been mentioned during negotiations. We were also told they would not title the truck in both my husband's and our 18-year-old son's names. Then came the expected warranty sales pitch, but the warranty pricing was extremely expensive. My husband asked a reasonable question: if we experienced an immediate problem driving the truck the three hours home, would the dealership help us? The sales manager's response was simply, "Nope. It is what it is." While waiting for the truck to be brought around, the sales manager walked up to me and, in a very snide and unprofessional tone, said, "If you wouldn't have jacked me around and screwed me over on the price, I would have given you a deal on the warranty." That comment alone left a lasting impression--and not a good one. Now, 27 days after paying cash for the truck, we still do not have the title. We were told we would receive it within two weeks. When that timeline passed, my husband called and was met by a very rude employee who simply said they didn't have it and would call when they did. He called again this week because we have a deadline totitle and license the truck, and they still didn't have any answers. What has been most disappointing is the complete lack of communication. During our search, dealerships and salespeople we didn't buy from followed up to thank us for considering them. The dealership we actually purchased from has never once reached out to check on the truck, ask how things were going, or even update us on the title. Carlos was courteous and did a good job throughout the process, but unfortunately, the professionalism ended there. Between the behavior of the sales manager, the surprise fees, the lack of support after the sale, and the ongoing title issue, this was not a positive buying experience. Based on our experience, I would not purchase another vehicle from Meyer Automotive, nor would I recommend them to family or friends.
