The first time, he installed a hot water heater and a dishwasher. He worked efficiently and the charges on the bill were clear and very reasonable. If you're looking for a plumber who is prompt, professional, and fairly priced, I highly recommend Marshall!

One thing our history in Mendocino County has shown is is that it can be frustrating trying to get…read morea tradesperson to respond quickly, sometimes even to get a call back. Most times it's because of demand on their time. It's a joy when we are able to find someone who not only responds quickly, but shows up on time, does quality work, and for a fair price. On a Thursday evening, after being frustrated by calls to our Water District offices, I determined that we had a leak between the meter and the house. Since it was on my side of the meter it's my responsibility. Friday morning I made many calls and predictably, the companies that I reached were booked out. I resorted to our neighborhood group on Facebook and received a couple recommendations for Redwood Rooter. I had not even considered them because I associate the Rooter name with drain service. Don't be fooled... they are much, much more. Tom showed up Friday evening and working together, we isolated where we thought the leak was. We agreed for his crew to show up Monday morning, and they did...right on time. The leak was fixed before noon and they were on their way to the next job by 12:30. Thanks Tom and crew!

The PEX under our house came under attack from rodents, forcing us to turn off the water to our house. It was clear that DIY was beyond both my skills and desires, so I jumped online and called literally every number I could find. Ken was the only person who would come quickly; many gave a timeframe of a week (or more), never called back, or just told me NO. Ken arrived when he said he would, was courteous and gracious with explanations and sharing information, and got the job done quicker than I would have thought possible. Sadly, our lines were chewed through TWO MORE times over the stretch of 10 days across the Holidays. In each instance, Ken called me back quickly, came out when he said he would, and solved the issue faster than I would have estimated. Ken will always be my first call moving forward for any plumbing needs, and I will be sure to recommend Ken as often as possible. !! THANK YOU KEN !!

When it comes to services, my father doesn't impress easily, but he was clearly pleased with the service provided by KMS. He doesn't use Yelp, so I'll relay what he sent to me: "We called this guy after mom found on facebook asking for a plumber. Had lots of great responses/recommendations on this guy. "I called him at 12:30 today hoping for a Monday replacement as my back wouldn't hold up and besides I didn't have a new unit. The guy came out within an hour, went to get a new unit, was only a 30 gallon instead of a 40 gallon, which was OK with me. I took the old one apart before he returned an hour later. Later on I needed some plumbing work done, I made several calls to their company but never heard back. Two days ago I contacted them again for a plumbing issue. The man on the phone asked if yesterday afternoon or today (9:30 am) would be better. I said today would be fine. 9:30 am came and went. I made several calls to two different numbers yet I was never able to contact them or get a call back. This interaction has proven that even though they did an excellent first job, it is a waste of time trying to contact them again. As much as I hate to do it, I am forced to rate this business as a one star due to a lack of communication and a less than decent effort to return my calls. If you can get them out to your house you will get great results. The trick is, getting them there to do the work. I won't make the mistake of contacting them again.
