One thing our history in Mendocino County has shown is is that it can be frustrating trying to get a tradesperson to respond quickly, sometimes even to get a call back. Most times it's because of demand on their time. It's a joy when we are able to find someone who not only responds quickly, but shows up on time, does quality work, and for a fair price. On a Thursday evening, after being frustrated by calls to our Water District offices, I determined that we had a leak between the meter and the house. Since it was on my side of the meter it's my responsibility. Friday morning I made many calls and predictably, the companies that I reached were booked out. I resorted to our neighborhood group on Facebook and received a couple recommendations for Redwood Rooter. I had not even considered them because I associate the Rooter name with drain service. Don't be fooled... they are much, much more. Tom showed up Friday evening and working together, we isolated where we thought the leak was. Called after 5 on a Friday. Called me right back. Price was reasonable, he came over within the stated time, and the back up caused by a clogged septic line was fixed very quickly. He had the right gear and got right to it. And told me how to avoid future problems using natural products and things that are easy to find. Very friendly and professional. Tom was super straightforward and prompt about scheduling, and once he arrived he was fast and thorough. He solved our problem, and did some testing to figure out why it was happening and gave us some suggestions about what to do to fix it in the long term. He carefully cleaned up (with a vacuum!) afterwards so that our tank lid would seal correctly. He was cheerful and resourceful when he encountered setbacks. We'd hire him again anytime! read more
