A few days ago, my car broke down on I-71, about an hour from Cincinnati. I pulled off at the next exit and made it to the closed town, Bowersville. HP Automotive was the first on the list of places I googled for "car repair." Samantha, the office manager, sent a tow truck out to get me, and Gene, head mechanic and owner, stayed until 630pm trying to figure out what was wrong with my car. Samantha and Gene located the necessary part, but it couldn't be delivered until the next day. Gene and Samantha drove me to the nearest hotel (Holiday Inn, Wilmington, OH) and made sure I got checked in and taken care of. They also picked me up the next day when the part arrived and my car was fixed. This level of customer service deserves an award and recognition. And as a point of comparison - the closest Ford dealership offered no help at all. I understand that everyone wants to go home after a long day at work. But the Ford dealership wouldn't even help me look for a hotel. So yourself a favor and take your business to this upstanding, honest, and thoughtful car mechanic. You will not regret it.

The scenario above happened to yours truly this year. Thankfully, I have AAA and - after putting a request in on their website - someone from Bennett came to my rescue. Even better, he mentioned that he worked at Bennett. He checked my car over while it was still by the side of the road, told me what he thought the problem was and translated it from car-speak into dollars for me. The next day, I was able to pick up my car at their shop. It was back to running like new, and the cost on the repair was very close to what he told me he thought it would be. I couldn't be happier with how my Thanksgiving ended up after its bad beginning, and much of my thanks this year goes to Bennett!

Kolton was very helpful without being pushy. He understood what we were looking for, and explained anything we had a question about. Older car, bought as is. Had a few issues that we knew about, and they knew about. They had done a little work on it. We took it to a trusted shop later, and they took care of those, and recommended a few other preventive maintenance things. Nothing big or surprising. I'll note that they have pretty good reviews, which is unusual for smaller car dealers. Price was reasonable. Each of the staff we dealt with was great. It's not a huge dealer, and they mostly do new cars, but they had a decent selection of used. Paid cash so I can't speak to their financing. We didn't try to talk them down much because it was already a good deal. But they did negotiate readily. Sweetie is happy with her weird new car.

We had some bad weather and he stated that they needed until Wednesday to complete the job. I paid him $40 for diagnostics and then $150 for the tow. Then sent $550 for parts. I also got a rental for 5 days through budget rent a car which cost me 500$ Wednesday came and it wasn't done. He said it would be done Thursday. I got the rental another day. Another $68 and $15 extension fee. Friday came and he said it's still not done. So after a week I have paid over 1k and it's not done. He promised it would be done the following Tuesday by 8pm. I returned rental that morning. At 9pm when he didn't show up he texted that he was done but there was still an oil leak. WHAT!!!!! He said he had parts and needed until Monday. Monday morning I asked him if it was going to be completed as promised and he said no. He needed til Wednesday. So 13 days he has had my car and it's in the same condition. I just had enough and sent a tow truck to their shop to get my car. When tow truck arrived it was at someone's house. They told me it was a mechanic shop.
