Chilaquiles with brisket

Came here for brunch before visiting the Frida Kahlo museum. As soon as we sat down our server brought a tray of pastries for us to choose from. Every single one was delicious. The coffee was exceptional. Food was great. Server was very patient with us and our extremely limited Spanish skills.

If I had tasted the infamous croissants, then I would give a five but they ran out! Great hostess and sat us in good time before catching our flight out. Lots of people eat here and every plate out looks delicious. Plenty of seating both inside and outside and I love the airy hangar look of the whole vibe of the place . I love how they used a brioche slice bread for their Benedict here, and the sunny side up egg topper ooze is soo good! The chilaquiles was so refreshingly surprised by the added red onions. Great punch of taste to the traditional chilaquiles. Would come back to try more goodies here for sure. Perhaps come early so they won't ran out of those croissants!

Jugo verde. Very tasty

Panaderia Rosetta simply gets 5 stars for their guayaba roll. Yes, be prepared to wait, and yes, it…read morecan be overrun with tourists, but I was prepared for all of this given the location. This is the 3rd time I've been back to Panaderia Rosetta for a guayaba roll (guava roll). I also tried the maíz concha and the pan de muerto this last time--both were delicious. I would easily order the concha de maíz and the guava roll next time around no questions asked. They are both delicious and very different from each other. For foreigners, especially coming from the US, the prices are very fair given the quality and notoriety of the bakery. We're so used to getting ripped off at coffee shops in the states. By Mexican standards, it's expensive and definitely a treat. Tourist trap or not, it's delicious and a must if you're visiting CDMX.

This place is a madhouse. Is it 'iconic'? Yes. Is it worth it? Probably. But there are a ton of…read moreplaces that create very similar items that may be just as good. But back to the iconic part is why we visited. Packed to the gills, line down the street, chaos completely. The line did go quickly though, but if you do not like crowds, yelling all around, no where to sit and eat/drink, and chaos in general this is not for you. We ordered: Guava roll, Cornbread, Rosemary bun, Mille-feuille of red fruits, Cream filled donut, Tomato and basil focaccia, Potato and provolone focaccia, coffees and lattes. My favorite was honestly the Tomato and basil focaccia. The guava roll was good but of the sweets the Cream filled donut was on par. Now I can say I've been there, not sure I'd do it again for just bakery items, granted it was an experience. For a proper meal at a table though, for sure.

The relief of knowing everything is gluten free and the added bonus of finding so many options that are also dairy, soy and nuts free was incredible!! The price adds up quickly!! But, it's definitely a sacred investment in sovereignty + nourishment !! Mexico's pan dulces are epic, but when allergies get in the way, it can be tough to say no to so much deliciousness. With Pan Gabriel, you can enjoy the pan dulce "sin culpa" like they say. Guilt free. The staff is super kind and knowledgeable and asked me about the allergens that I can't eat to make sure all the items I selected were a great match. Highly recommended. Dense and delicious! The location offers a wide range of options, and has a seating area and coffee nook for hour to enjoy your selections.
