Pan Gabriel is a small, health-focused bakery in Condesa that specializes in organic and…read morealternative baked goods. It's more of a grab-and-go spot than a sit-down café, with a selection that caters to specific dietary preferences like gluten-free, vegan, or low-sugar. We tried a few items to sample the range -- the strawberry empanada, some bread, and their wheat tortillas. The empanada had a mild flavor and wasn't overly sweet, which may be a plus for some but felt a bit underwhelming. The tortillas had a great texture but an unusual aftertaste that stood out. The other bread items we picked up were similarly neutral in flavor -- nothing particularly memorable, but not bad either. Overall, Pan Gabriel seems to prioritize clean ingredients and health-conscious recipes, which is great if that's your focus. Just keep in mind that the taste and richness typical of more traditional baked goods might not be what you'll find here.
