I would never recommend using this company to find a rental property in Kokomo. I would give them 0 stars if I could. We were trying to find our nephew a place to live, and he found a property he liked. He filled out the application and paid the $60 plus the $30.00 pet fee. Two weeks after he submitted his application, we were informed he would not qualify he did not make enough money. I asked about cosigning and was told I would need to fill out a $60.00 application fee. I did as they asked to be told I did not make 4X the rent to qualify but my husband could fill out an application. Guess what? He had to pay the $60.00 application fee also. A day later we were told our nephew did not qualify. This company had two weeks to processes his application and do a thorough search to realize he did not qualify before we jumped through all the hoops to submit all the paperwork and pay the fees. I requested the $120 application fees back paid by my husband and myself because they did not process his application in a timely manner and we should never had been told to fill out the applications in the first place. I talked with both Megan Belanger and Jennelle Glassburn in the leasing department just to get the runaround about this situation. Please beware if you are considering renting from a CRM property. There has been a lot of neglect, frustration, and poor customer service since our landlord was unable to competently manage our rental unit and brought CRM Properties Management on board. The staff members we interact with can be slow to respond to work maintenance requests, especially urgent ones. We have had ongoing issues with surface mold and cockroaches that still have never been fully resolved. We have to constantly check in about if a work order will be initiated. Work orders have been marked as completed by CRM when they were never done. We were also forced into paying for a resident benefits package which includes a rental insurance policy, but we already had our own policy, and CRM would not allow this as the only coverage we had, despite my insurance age calling to attempt to discuss this, with zero response. read more

CRM property management is terrible. The property was left dirty and damaged before my move-in [I informed them on their platform and in person] and that was never addressed other than to say that if I thought it was that bad I shouldn't have signed the lease. CRM lied about the house being structurally sound; mold, mildew and pest free. I felt harassed the whole time by the office. One should not ask for an honest opinion then be upset by what they hear. Junk/hidden fees for services never rendered and a crappy online platform that the tenants are forced to use. Don't try to stop by the office, they don't want to see your face. And there'll be a fee for that. Also not happy about the invasive home inspections. I was informed by the inspector that she was making sure I wasn't harboring any unauthorized people or animals in my house. Then she insisted that she needed to take photos during said inspection although that was not written in the lease. It felt violating. I likened it to a prison bed-check. She literally looked in the one closet in the house and in the shower, like she expected someone to be hiding in there. Being handed a maintenance check list upon move in like I was one of their employees and being expected to fill it out - with the suggestion that I put my belongings in storage for the first week so I can fill out their form and get everything done. No. Just no. I do not work for you and that is most definitely YOUR JOB as the management company. The terrible repairs that were in the house - the plumbing that had been replaced with cheap trailer park PVC pipe and how the house had barely any grounded outlets. The power outlet that was mere inches away from the washer hookups in the laundry room and the 1950's era outlets and wiring in the house that damaged my tv when the power surged. And finally, the greater property itself - there were two buildings outside. First, the garage that I was not allowed to use but was not informed of this until I was signing the lease (and had already paid non-refundable fees for the process) and the shed that was falling apart that I could use; but the maintenance men had put their crap in it too. The garage had power but no visible separate power service. I was paying their electric bill. The shed was in such terrible shape that it damaged my belongings. And the maintenance man that was trying to gain my attention. He would flag me down whenever I was outside doing yard work, and even entered my property through the back yard to leave me a note. I was uncomfortable the whole time and never used my yard because of him. He even stopped to try to talk to me in front of my family when they came over to help me. i have rented from thes guys going on 4 years and am still gonna rent from them for another year. We finally got things going my way on propery improvements.I have Heather Santin as my manager since Ibeen hear and she has done a great job keeping me up to date on things I need to know. The maintinace guys have pretty much lived hear for the past year. Austin Murray has had his hands full with me wanting stuff done , C.D. has been hear quite abit, and have handled my fits of being pisse off rather well.Idont think I cussed anyone out and I appologize if I did. I quite simply would not recommend this company to a DOG. They completely disregard serious concerns regarding resident safety, screw their tenants with outrageous fees, force us into buying ridiculous tenant packages adding onto our rent, the houses are in poor condition, and it takes ages to get any sort of maintenance done. When I moved into my current house, it was infested with mice. CRM basically told me it was my fault and my problem to deal with. After a year of combatting this issue, they finally sent an exterminator (threatening to charge me with ridiculous fees if they had to remove any dead mice..$25 per mouse) that literally only set out glue traps. Nothing more. I complained for roughly a year about a gaping hole in my porch until my mother nearly broke her ankle falling in it, to which they finally responded by fixing the porch. The foundation is literally rotting from the inside out, in fact, the kitchen is unlevel because a post collapsed years ago & nothing had been done about it. They have refused to take my abusive ex off my lease, despite the threats to my safety, & are now charging me ridiculous fees because he is still on the lease (despite me having proved I am financially stable enough). This house was so poorly "renovated" & thrown together, that light fixtures were placed UPSIDE DOWN. When the floor was replaced, apparently CRM workers snipped Wifi connection wires, creating a huge problem for AT&T when I moved in. I have many other complaints, but overall..DON'T move in with CRM if you do not want added stress and frustration to your life. read more

CRM Properties suck. Do not rent there. I sent repeated email melds to the company because their snow removal contractor did not shovel the sidewalks for several days after the snow. I fell and hurt my knee and back. I reported that I had fallen with no response. Also my apartment is on the opposite side of the building, away from the parking lot. I contacted management about the fact that there was no clear path through the snow and the packed plow buildup to walk to the parking lot. Not only did it make it difficult for me to get to the parking lot but also made it near impossible for guest to come to my apartment. Also the locking door knob on my front door has never had a key since the day that I moved in. I asked management for a matching lock set so that the door knob and deadbolt had matching keys. That came and replaced the doorknob with a non-locking pass through closet type doorknob. This reduced the security of my house hold. I am not pleased at all with the new management at all. Lofts at Union and CRM property management. Not worth the price tag $$$ for all the issues Pros. The apartment itself is clean. The maintenance staff is great and take care of problems quickly. Maria was great to work with but her hands are tied due to CRMs guidelines. Great access to the ymca. That's about all you get for $1200+ a month. Cons. Living downtown / non secure parking area. Living next to other tenants that can care less to take care of the area. Kids and adults alike messing with peoples cars. Low end appliances, Noise, having to step over drunks and vagrants sleeping in the hallways. Constant trash left behind by them. Panhandlers asking for money daily. Non residents loitering in the parking garage along with drug dealing. They also use the elevators and parking garage for their restroom. Jobless Tenants continually smoking pot in their apartments. CRM property management does little about it even tho there is a non smoking policy when signing the lease. I do not feel safe letting my children walk to and from the car by themselves. If you like to maintain a clean environment don't call CRM to get this taken care of. They will pawn you off to call someone else every time. Trash tenants pay $40 a month while city residence get this service for free. Responsible pet owners are nickel-and-dimed to death with their facility expenses. You have to pay extra for the convince of a tenant portal???. The utilities are double of what the home we moved from which was 2200 sq foot. Possibly due to Poorly insulated walls and windows. Freezing cold floors in the winter time. Continual water damage in the common hallways causing a musty smell. Poor construction overall. In conclusion our family was hoping to live here while our children completed their senior year in high school but decided to buy in a better location in order to get our sanity back. The Lofts and CRM have been a huge disappointment especially for the high price tag. I just wanted to let anyone interested know some of the things to expect from this location and company before making the decision to sign a lease. I would have appreciated more reviews about this location and company before making a decision to move here. Side note it's been over a month since we have moved out. Still waiting for our damage deposits. We are getting great sleep and feel like we have definitely made the right decision to leave CRM properties. They emailed the other day stating there were a few things left dirty in the apartment. A month after move out. Funny I took complete videos of all cleaning done and they didn't push the issue any longer. My suggestion to CRM is when you get tenants that want to take care of their property and will not put up with the nonsense of other residents and non-residence trashing the common areas, you should appreciate them. It would have been much less of a headache for us to not care at all about the living conditions of this place. Stay away from this property "management" company. Not only are they overpriced, but like the another reviewer noted, they are very difficult to work with. My husband and I have been working with CRM for a few years now, but recently we noticed that they take longer than usual to fulfill our property requests. We requested work to be done on our property several months ago, but they still haven't got to it. When you inquiry about the status, they give you the runaround answer. Been a tenant with this company going on two years. Properties are maintained with a very descriptive lease agreement. Who choose a duplex setting for our family the neighbors are wonderful a long with a somewhat quiet neighborhood. Recently we ran into problems with our stove not working, with this company you must fill out a request form using a different site known as property meld didn't work for us on several attempts I expressed my concerns with an amazing gem they have working for them by the name of Audra! CRM can backlash all they want to this, however, we were tenets for almost 2 years. We had difficulty with maintenance. We would put in a request sometimes it would be fixed other times it would be ignored. Someone tried to break in to the house before we moved in...we put in a request to have the door repaired. Someone came and looked at it and said they would be back and never did show back up. The door stayed broken the entire time we lived there. The ignitor went out on the water heater and I had to call and request it be fixed several times before it was actually foxed. Then the company they sent out flooded the hallway with water and left it for us to clean up. We had to break our lease because we bought a house. I spoke to the office they said as long as we paid the fee and cleaned the house that we would get our deposit back. They were well past the 45 day to return the deposit but managed to get around it by sending me a check that was dated 11-10 but post marked 11-29. Conveniently for them the check kept getting "lost" and it was "reissued" twice. The office staff is dodgy about answering questions and returning calls. I have always had to be rude to get someone to call me back. They will give you the run around and then deny it to your face. I would not ever rent from them! And I would recommend that you don't waste your time either. read more

You'll be scheduled for a showing, flip your work schedule upside down only to be called at the very last minute (deposit in hand) only to be told the property was rented out.
