They started the escavation and then half way through started trying to extort more money out of me. It was at that point that I made a decision to rid them from my property and accept the loss and damages. With my house now exposed to the elements and in imminent danger of collasping. I needed to find a reputable company fast. I called Structional Engineering and Design and spoke with Michael. He came out the same day to survey the area that had been partially dug out by the scammers. Due to the urgency, Michael got me on his schedule and started the work the following week. When you are going through a devastating and life-changing time. You need a compassionate and meticulous group of individuals working for you to restore your home. You can rely on Michael for prompt assistance. Michael and his team worked from early morning into the nighttime hours completing the escavation and underpinning. It was a big job and a lot of hard work. All of the guys were professional, hardworking and did a wonderful job restoring my deck after the escavation. Michael kept me informed and explained each step to me. From begin to end the Michael and his guys were simply top notch. From the start with Michael's honesty, fairness and transparency was a level above everyone else I'll had dealt with. The only thing better than the quality of his work is Michael's character. They even hauled the tons of dirt and rock with no extra charge! I'm very happy I found this company to do business with. It's been almost 4 months and I have not had a drop of water in the basement and it feels great not having to worry about it. The estimation process was simple as they asked me to take pictures and included a guide on how to do it. They followed up with a phone call and explained the process to me. They then sent me a DocuSign document (contract) and told me they would be in touch to schedule in a few weeks. When the crew showed up they again explained the process and in just a few hours everything was fixed perfectly and the price was fair. In fact they don't haggle or play games just give a fair price for the work.

One or two I could ignore, but not all of this....for instance: i explained in detail everything on the phone when making the appointment (multiple things outside and inside I wanted to have looked at) and yet the inspector that showed up didn't have any knowledge of anything -- he didn't even know if he was inspecting a crawl space or a basement. clear lack of communication within their team.; the inspector didn't bring his own flashlight and had to borrow ours. all he had was his flashlight on his personal phone. kind of odd.; 3 options/quotes were discussed at the time of the appointment but only one quote was sent to us; when following up via email for the additional info, it was never responded to; a text was sent from the company to me to follow up and i reminded them i was still waiting on the response to my email with the options i discussed with the inspector; couple days later they texted me again asking if i had made a decision, to which i responded they had never sent me the quotes discussed.; they texted me a link to a quote, (so in total, i only ever got 2 of the 3 options discussed), and the quotes are unnecessarily confusing. they don't look like your typical quote, things are itemized as all $0, all the services they offer are listed on the quote even if you're not getting them, it's just strange. the inspector at our initial appointment did seem knowledgable so we were going to overlook the miscommunication/unprofessional flashlight thing. it wasn't a big deal really. but, how everything was handled after our appointment was very strange which makes us uneasy about trusting them with this project. also, there was never any apology for the missing quotes or the miscommunication at all. a simple "sorry about that, we'll send those quotes over shortly" would go a long way. All this to say that with all of this combined, I could not move forward and would not recommend this company.
