Flooring started falling apart 2nd day after installation. They try to upcharge me minute after they arrive literally finding reasons. Broke the wall, cabinet and pipe under sink(yes) while removing flooring. Don't hire them without reading this entire review. Financial and emotionally draining and damaging. See the pictures, they already charge me for floor removal(vinyl and laminate) And leveling and prepping. Reason they want to upcharge me. 1) Coz its laminate under the vinyl we have to charge you more. 2)we can only remove some portion of it coz it so difficult to remove and have to level it so we have to charge you more( they already charge for leveling see picture below) 3) you are asking for underpayment we have to charge you more. (already charged me prepping) 4) this job is too small we have to charge you more. Literally finding reason to charge me more and blaming me more upcharge. For floor popping. It started next day after installation and I saw it and hoping it won't get worse but it got worse the day after started falling apart. Now everywhere I walk I hear pop and falling apart and it's just been 2 days. and I know they will blame me coz I ask for underpayment but during installation, I heard other guys ask to Brandon about removing this... point to floor (debris and uneven things sticking on floor) and he said no.. she want underpayment so they don't have to prep or even out the floor and make it free from debris coz they were not going to warranty flooring so its ok to bad job. And I know they will blame the customer if flooring breaks. I saw that in previous one star review. While removing flooring, they were so aggressive literally broke one of my cabinet and wall in the kitchen closet.( see the picture) Rip the carpet and flooring in the closet and living room. Pipe in the kitchen broke, dishwasher stop working. I had to call plumber to fix it. Such sloppy job, left portion of previous flooring under cabinet and try to hide it with hanging baseboard. For the money I put in, I was surely expecting better quality than this. Spending thousands of dollars for flooring and installation down the drain. I never dealt with such dishonest bunch of people in my life. I would give them negative rating. Just horrible. If you love your house don't hire them. read more

I had a small area of hardwood that needed to be replaced following a leak in the adjoining powder room. This was not prefinished hardwood, and everywhere I contacted told me it couldn't be done, and that the entire floor had to be replaced. The Flooring Doctor came and gave me an estimate, and scheduled the work within a few days. There are many flooring places out there that do a great job. Flooring doctor is one of many in this regard - they did an awesome job with installing my floors and backsplash. BUT what sets them apart is their commitment to service. They came out to my place in philly wit floor samples, spending as much time as I wanted explaining everything. Never a sales pitch - got a quote and that was it. I wasn't around to see the work but Nick the owner and Eric the manager kept me in the loop always. Answering phones on days off, weekends, no problem. They worked with me through some unforeseen issues that came up during install and never once made me feel rushed. Now the thing that really gets them 5 stars - their workers accidentally spilled some tile cement and material in a common area courtyard. Not only did they come back twice to clean it up but they went above and beyond in their efforts. I asked for a power wash, they said no problem. They did everything they could and MORE to make sure they left everything exactly how I wanted it. I'm pretty sure they left it cleaner than it was before they even came. Throughout the whole process they were kind, polite, attentive, and responsive. I would definitely recommend these guys with no hesitation. They will do the right thing. read more

I went here after reading all the fabulous reviews and they were helpful in store so I scheduled an appt for them to come out and give me a quote on flooring. The day came and they called within the hour they said they would to let me know someone was on their way. Great, or so I though.... half hour goes by, one hour goes by, two hours go by, THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! Why call to say you're on your way and not show up? So whatever, if you don't want my money, I'm not chasing after you. OVER A WEEK LATER, they call to try and reschedule a visit. I THINK NOT! Unprofessional. We are so happy with our new hardwood floors. Flooring Doctor installed new hardwood floors throughout our entire first floor. It looks amazing. Would love to have been able to give a good review, but I never even got to the work part. Called to set up an appointment for an estimate. They came out within a day or 2, took measurements and promised it would be an easy job and no problem matching the existing hardwood floors that I already had. Said they would have an estimate the next day. Well, days went by and not a word. I followed up with a few phone calls and finally got a call back a week later. I was told they cannot find the flooring to match, which I understand is not their fault, even though I was told it would be "no problem at all" matching the existing floor. I asked that they just give me an estimate with the closest matching flooring so I can make a decision. Said they would have the estimate to me the next day. Well, I never heard from them again. Called to follow up, left a voicemail and still nothing. Sadly, since buying my house this seems to be the new norm with businesses. I see others have had good experiences with this business, but I was not one of them. Ended up finding another place that matched the floors and did an amazing job. read more

I had some issues getting the flooring installed on the initial appointment day and this was my only problem. They did show very good customer service after this happened. The office manager was fantastic and the installers when they actually got here were plesant and professional and did the job in the amount of hours that they had said. I cant give five stars because of the problems with the installation time but other than that they do great work. read more
