16 Aug. 2016 We have never encountered a more unethical and unprofessional contractor as Varga, the owner of Noor Flooring. Do not use his company under any circumstances. If it were possible to give a negative rating, we would. (Maybe Yelp should introduce negative numbers. Noor Flooring would earn a -10.) Over a month ago, we went into contract with Noor Flooring to install hardwood floors in three bedrooms, a hallway, and a walk-in closet in our recently-purchased home. Varga came to our home, measured for the job and then gave us a price for the job, to which we agreed and after which we paid him a deposit, based on a written estimate. He then ordered the wood, delivered the wood to our home so that it could acclimate for four to five days, and started the work (after a one-day delay, which went unexplained). The morning of the second day that the work was to continue, Varga sent us an email saying that he had underestimated the cost of the job and would not be able to continue it. Yes, an email backing out of work that they had already begun! After bailing out on our job, at no point did Varga call us directly, apologize, try to explain the nature of the error, or suggest any other remedy. Any contractor worth his salt would not have made a basic calculation error in the first place (or might have discovered it sometime during the six weeks between the initial bid and when work commenced). But, ok, we're all human and make mistakes. However, a more ethical person would have been clearer about more specific about what the error was and proposed a way forward that would have preserved the working relationship and ensured that the contracted work was completed, given that he had started the work already. Varga's behavior during this period underscores his core unprofessionalism. He has yet to call us. He has yet to agree to refund our deposit. He has failed to respond to various emails in anything but a cursory manner. So we are left with rugs and subfloors fully or partially ripped up from rooms in our home, rendering those rooms completely unusable. We are unable to fully unpack and our home is in chaos - thanks to Noor Flooring. The situation is irreparable at this point. We would not ever let Varga or his Noor Flooring crew back into our house for any reason whatsoever and are seeking legal action against his firm. They are simply not to be trusted. Consumer beware - run in the other direction should anyone ever recommend Noor Flooring. read more

I had them install new hardwood floors in my bedrooms and I am very happy with the result. They were quick, professional and cleaned up after themselves for a very dusty project. I would definitely use them again. read more

Varga, Wilmer, and his crew are the best contractors you might ever work with. Noor installed 2000 sq. ft. of solid maple in most of my new house early 2016. Varga is a gentlemen who is polite, responsive, timely, and reasonable. He knows the flooring business, products, and installation complexities. He also respects your home and space. Noor flooring did not have the lowest price. However, installing wood flooring can be complex and requires true carpenters. They put down the floors with precision and by the book. Besides the workmanship, Varga's crew is very clean. There will still be dust in places but they will respect your home and do their best to vacuum up all saw dust. read more

Varga Haddadzadeh is dishonest. He took my $3,000 deposit and fled without completing the job he was hired to do. I filed a law suit against him and he has managed to evade the court by using a false address for his business. The address listed for his company online (872 W Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr) is the address for Crust Pizza and the address on the proposal he had given me is a P.O. Box, to which the court cannot deliver papers (which he undoubtedly knows). Using a false address, skipping on a job and never returning the down-payment: these are the defining elements of my experience with Noor Flooring. read more

This is the only call you need make for your flooring needs! Varga and his crew at Noor Flooring were professional, courteous, prompt, neat and timely from the quote to the finish. I had hardwood floors installed in the first floor of my home, and my stairs and landing refinished. The quote was very reasonable, and Varga's crew (Alex was great!) were extremely hardworking, neat, quick, and very clean. Every evening, the work area was cleaned, and the tools neatly tucked away. The dust from the refinishing was kept to as much a minimum as possible. Varga even dropped samples to my door so I could review what I wanted at my convenience. I am so very happy with the work they did. I plan on doing work on my second floor in the near future, and Noor is the only call I will need to make. Call them. Varga and his team are amazing! We had a very odd flooring choice in our house - engineered maple. All sorts of knots and color variations we locked but they were worn out. Varga's team blended in new wood where walls were knocked out. They refinished the floors to a matte white-wash blend and they turned out fabulous! They were in and out in a few short days! I had a stellar experience with Varga and Noor Flooring. From estimate to completion everything went smoothly. My beat up, stained, warped 50 year old floors were stripped, sanded, stained (to match a newer floor in my dining room) and sealed. They look amazing, and I am looking forward to next year having Varga's crew come back and refinish the entire upstairs hardwoods to match the downstairs. The gentlemen that came to my house to do the work, as well as Varga himself, were all very pleasant and hardworking. My wife and I hired Noor Flooring for 3 or 4 different jobs over a few years for our old house. The house was over 100 years old, and the floors had various issues with their condition. We had them replace damaged parquet floors in the dining room with beautiful hardwood flooring, which they blended seamlessly with the floor of the adjacent rooms. They also sanded and refinished floors that had been painted long ago, which had faded over time and were a bit ugly, and they repaired or replaced old damaged boards as neeed. They removed carpeting from 2 different staircases and refinished and repaired the stairs. Part of our house included a newer extension, and the floors in that area had originally been done cheaply and were poor quality; they weren't totally even or flush with the rest of the house. Noor installed hardwood floors and painstakingly ensured that everything was even. Their work was of the highest quality, done on time and on budget, and their prices were very reasonable. There's no doubt in my mind that their excellent work helped sell our house, which was a big part of the reason we hired them. Highly recommended. read more

If you're thinking about hiring them, don't! Look at their D+ Better Business Bureau rating. Horrible sanding and re-staining job. They would not refund any of our money. We had to tear up and replace with new wood floors. Awful customer service! We're out thousands of dollars. read more
