I hired Jon twice. About two years ago he was hired to make sure I had no possums in the house as one had been found by someone else and gotten rid of. He got rid of some birds and did some work around the house but laid no cages and did not seal up things. I really didn't think he did a very good job.
He said he saw evidence of mice but he did nothing about it. He did not thoroughly inspect the house. The job was, to me, expensive.
About two years later, I saw a mouse. I told him pretty much exactly what I wanted. He agreed in writing what he would do it for. I asked him twice (in writing) if that included various things that I wrote down. He replied that it did.
He came to my home and put his dirty traps on my kitchen stove and cabinets. Very bad. He laid some mouse traps. Caught one mouse and I took it out. So far, I've had no more mice. He did leave his traps here. But, he did not finish doing what he agreed to do and I have paid him.
He messaged me that it was raining and he couldn't make it. I did not know what the rain had to do with the work that was under my bathroom sink in the house.
Bottom line, he never returned. He did not finish the work and he never contacted me. I think he felt he was not making enough money off me so he just blew me off. Because had I been paying him a lot of money, I expect he would have done the job for which he was hired.
I was quoted the same job from a very reputable company for just $10 more than he was charging me as I'm a senior citizen and most companies give us a bit of a discount.
Jon has a lot of good reviews and I think he's a very hard worker. He has no help so I'm sure he's tired. But when you pay someone, when they agree to do a job for a certain fee, they should do it if they're professional.
I think when he earns a lot on a job, he's good at what he does. I do think he overlooks things. But if you don't have a lot of money to pay him or if he feels other jobs are more important than yours, you won't be happy with him. read more
