I wish you could give negative stars. I left my 3 yo pup in their care back in November. He was attacked by another dog and ended up losing his eye. They were told he wasn't used to being out with other dogs and should be walked on a leash, which they didn't do. They werent even with him when he was attacked so they had no idea who attacked him.The owner said she would pay for all costs. She gave me the boarding for free, paid one vet billed than refused to pay for the surgery for the eye removal. Her and her staff were rude and nasty to me. When I asked for her insurance information my calls and emails were never returned. Unfortunately I can't afford to sue her. I hope people read this and not take their animals there. These people don't care. In my opinion they should be shut down. read more

TWICE in a row they gave me my cat back covered in piss and neither time did they acknowledge it or warn me. I took my senior cat in to them to board and they apparently are so scary to my cat that he pisses himself. I am not sure if he has full access to a litter box or not but if he does and he's so scared there he won't use it, what are they doing in that room? It is very disturbing to have your animal back and they look worse than when they were brought in or terrified to death. The rude young blonde girl that took him in the AM apparently was annoyed I was 7 minutes early of my appointment time, which by the way is on time to most people. She was extremely UN-reassuring or personable when I mentioned my cat has become increasingly difficult to give medication to after they ruined his ability to take treat pocket pills the previous time (thanks for that by the way). I told them to properly wrap the pill or else if he tastes it he will reject it and they must not have listened. The owner or some blonde woman named Jodi lied to me on facebook when researching alternate boarding options that are more suited to cats about them telling me they won't board him or something. She claimed my cat is aggressive but I have never seen that and you would think someone who professionally boards animals would know how to be gentle and handle cats. She might have been the same one who let me pick my cat up the second time covered in pee and didn't acknowledge it and told me he "drinks too much water" which is implied from his heart failure and kidney condition. duh. Let him drink water. let him use the litter box. She was very dismissive of his condition and seemingly unaware of needs of senior animals. She kicked me off future boardings for him, but good riddance anyway. I would not trust them with your pets. read more

Something about this place has changed since the girl who used to run and do the training left. They don't answer the phone they don't return calls. They seem very short on help. I have taken my dog there for two years and was always happy until now. My little dog has some issues and a lot of fear. When I boarded him in July brought him home and something drastic must have happened. His aggression way over the top. Guarding everything. Cant go near his food or he will bite ect. He has not been the same I had to call a trainer in to help him. He has not been the same dog since we picked him up. We noticed the change immediately. My other dog who bordered with him lost three lbs in 6 days. She does not have fear issues like he does. This has not happened before when they stayed there. Beware something is not right at that place,. I noticed they haven't posted anything on FB in 7 months. I just hate giving a bad report since I gave a good one a year and half ago. NOT RECOMMENDED!!. Something is not right at this place. No one answers the phone or returns calls. Took my dogs for a 3 day boarding and neither of them are the same. I just spent $800 at the vet on my Pointer for a back injury! He stopped eating after we picked him up from this place. He has scabs on his back. He was also diagnosed with extreme stress. Worst experience ever. Paid a deposit for a future trip and gave three weeks notice. Still charged a processing fee to refund my money. Asked to speak to the owner Jodi but never got a return call. Back to pick up our boys from a quick overnight and the manager Chelsea was extremely rude. My husband asked for the refund to be processed yesterday when he dropped off the boys and she waited until today because she wanted to save their processing fee for two transactions. For our overnight and then for our refund. I'm sorry you are charging me for the fee ... But more importantly over all this was the extreme rudeness of Chelsea. She basically snarled her answers at my husband and when I intervened and asked if there was problem it was an abrupt no. Then she left to get our dogs and another employee brought them to us. Won't be back again and wouldn't recommend them. If they get frustrated when dealing with a refund what do they do when a dog is upset....... read more

My dog Pippa has been going to critter boarding for several years . She is like a celebrity when we arrive the staff is awesome to my baby girl and since she is outside most of the time she comes back home all cleaned up and spoiled. I loved the groomer and the experience my 3 dogs had. I asked for my 1 year old 60lb Australian Cattle dog mix, Tuffy, to be bathed with nails cut and was told that she was not a problem in the bath (I can't get her into the tub at home so she was way overdue and smelly). She was not perfumed, was clean, and happy when she left. My 12 year old mini Australian Shepherd, Roxy, was bathed, shaved, and her nails cut. I asked for her to be shaved short and to leave a lion main around her face and neck. She looks great! My 15 year old Cocker Spaniel mix is weird about her feet and the groomer listened when I said you have to look her in the face and tell her "give me your paw" each time you want to trim nail or shave paw. I was told she wasn't a problem with any of that including the bath, complete shave, nail trim, and shortening the hair on her ears and tail. Planning on driving from Tarpon Springs (45 minutes) every time for baths and grooming! Worth the drive for the friendly and professional care my furkids were given. read more

I'm only giving one star because the lion cut on my cat was done very well and she looked very pretty however My my fur baby now has fleas and I have three other cats that will probably get them as well we were told that our cat has fleas but she's an indoor cat there's no way she had fleas,then all of a sudden she's infested with them, they charged us eight dollars to split a dog size flea pill four ways and sent us on our way. I will not bring another animal there and I do not recommend taking your pet there unless you like fleas. We mistakenly took our Old English Sheepdog to have a slight trim at Critter Boarding and Grooming on County Line Road. We specifically stated that we wanted a slight trim and not to shave our dog down. When we arrived several hours later our Sheepdog was completely shaved down. Even the top of the snout (which is prone to sunburn was shaved). Furthermore, later that evening we found blood spots on the floor (which was where our dog was nicked in several places). Also, when we arrived to pick up our dog, the groomer was no where to be seen(some lame excuse was given that she would call us later). I wrote to the owner explaining what happened and not even a single reply. If you take you pet to Critter Boarding and Grooming you are taking a chance.....There are so many other places that would do a better job of grooming....Sorry, that we ever went there!!! read more

Bob W. 7-25-2019 Just came in from a 3 hour trip when my wife said to me she needs to use the rest room, I said can you wait 5 min, as were almost to critters boarding and there not to many places on county line road to stop at, she said she could. When we got to critters and ask to use there rest room she was told no as they have dogs back there, so I ask again and got the same answer, so we got the dog, left and tried to make it to the next place but it was to late. strange thing is when we stopped by to see the place she took us clear thru the place { dogs and all} I guess they don't car about customer , just looking for a quick service fee. and yes , they have a sign up asking for tips. They killed my cat. He had blood work prior to check liver and kidney function because he would need to be sedated, possibly He had bad hair knots. They said they would not sedate if his enzymes were elevated. Well they were and they sedated. I questioned and they said they did not give him much, that is was gas. No! What was purpose of blood work that I paid for then??? I called twice that day/night complaining he was not walking right and eating or drinking. they said it was the anestesia. I was like you said it should wear off in such a such time. They said he should be better in the morning if you are worried bring him to emergency animal clinic. Well i found him laying face down in black vomit in his poo pan in the morning. i took him out and he took his last breath and died. There excuse, he was old. WTF!
