I found out from the driver at the time that the company had job opportunities. I contacted the owner of the company who seem like a very nice person to begin with and he agreed to take me on part-time and agreed to stay within my unnecessary work limits for my disability and how much I was allowed to make. It's soon turned out that he was not a nice person at all in fact he was extremely rude he would hang up on you for no reason and if things weren't going perfect he decided to take it out on his employees. The vans that I drove were in poor condition they have hundreds of thousands of miles on them each van the engine light was on as well as the low tire pressure light even though the tires were properly inflated this is usually due to a sensor needing replaced. On my very first paycheck I was shorted money for taking training courses that he required, also the company gas card I was provided did not work so I had to use money out of my checking account and he would send me money via cash app. That's certainly is not a proper procedure because I have to show my bank statements to the Department of Health and human Services and the social security Administration on an occasional basis and this would raise questions as to why I was getting this money. I had also sent him an email stating that the amount of hours he was giving me was exactly perfect and that it would not be a good idea for me to work more than that for my health and for my income limitations, he responded by saying that he may send me more than he's been sending me even though I had told him that was my limit. On the day that I decided to resign he sent me an email stating that I owed him $20 I had asked him a couple of days before to send an extra 20 so that I would have a buffer for fuel out of that extra 20 between the money transfer costs fuel costs and cleaning costs he actually ended up owing me about $7. When he sent this request for the $20 it was just as I was getting ready to do my rides for that day and I had not been provided fuel that I would need for that day and he's asking me for $20 when he should have been sending me money for the fuel that I would need for the trip. His tone is always rude and disrespectful at that time I decided that this was not the job that I wanted to do because I am not going to be disrespected and I am not going to continue to use my personal checking account to fuel his Vans to take passengers that he's making money off of on trips to their doctors. His demands were extremely high and far outweighed the money that you were paid. In the end he owes me over $200 and there's nothing I can do about it. One of the vans if you ran the air conditioner while you were in traffic it would overheat, well if you have passengers in the car like one lady that I was transporting who is 9 months pregnant and would definitely need air conditioning. Another van which had automatic sliding doors the door would occasionally start to close on a passenger getting into the van and you would have to hit the button over and over and over to get the doors close one time it took nine tries to get the door to close as the passenger is sitting there asking me don't you people maintain your vans? I then sent information to the owner on how to quickly remedy the problem with the door it was a very easy fix which he completely ignored. The same van also had a headlight out and I'm not willing to risk getting a ticket because he has a headlight out I asked him if he wanted me to replace it and he never responded. When I did pick up this particular van the previous driver had left it in deplorable condition there was a dirty diaper under the seat the van was absolutely filthy and took me over an hour to clean it. And yet at every turn he would try to cheat you out of money I don't recommend anybody use this service to take transportation because it's likely that at some point the van is going to break down and you'll be stuck on the side of the road while you're trying to go to a doctor's appointment. I was also never provided a W-4 or I-9 form I sent these to him even though the owner of the company is supposed to complete the I-9 form and he did not I also never received clear indications of how I was going to be paid or how to handle accident response how to handle insurance or any information that would be prudent for a driver. I also had to log in to the app for the company that he was contracted with using a former driver's name who had also quit for similar reasons after speaking with that previous driver and notifying him that I was using his name to log in he advised me that the gentleman that owned the company also owed him money for work which he was not paid. I would avoid this company for a passenger and as an employee at all costs.
