If I can give only one piece of advice it's this: there's a fixed price menu item that might cost a little more than you were hoping to spend but it delivers to your table a large array of food that looks quite good. Chunks of chicken tenders, lightly battered and fried and then tossed in a dark sauce with bright, fresh flavors. A bit sweet with savory. You could even taste bits of fresh ginger along with the fresh chilies. Very tasty! Chicken 65 was similar only by the chunks of chicken battered and fried. Then it was tossed in a yoghurt based sauce with robust slices, chilies and fresh curry leaves. The Apollo fish was nearly identical to the Chicken 65 but with Cod fish chunks. The flavors were so good I didn't mind the repeat!! The Masala lamb chops were marinated with great flavor and then grilled to perfection. A slight char on the outside but tender and packed with flavor. I also ordered a garlic naan and tandoori roti and thankfully they were freshly prepared in a tandoor oven and not packaged like some Indian take out places in the UK. I'm eager to return and try out some other menu items. The dining room is minimal with 3 -4tops, 2-2tops and a 6top. They take Credit Cards and they have take out ordering on their website. Dishes included one of the chef's recommendations Murgh Shagorana, whole piece of chicken breast garnished with boiled egg and minced meat. The meal was very good if not the best variety of flavours. A nice touch was a complimentary drink offered at the end of the meal. A feature of the Saffron are a number of TVs mounted on walls above the tables playing Bollywood films with the sound off. Unnecessary. Windsor Curry Club rated the modern style Saffron 8.15 out of 10. The total cost of the meal (Inc. Drinks & Service) was £35.00 a Head.

This restaurant has an excellent chef. What let our experience down was the service, the staff lacked personality but as the restaurant is new it will hopefully improve.
