Remember folks, tips are not mandatory. A tip jar's presence does not mean you are obligated to tip! I like having a tip jar available so I can show my appreciation for the kind service I received. Prices are great at southern maid. Gonna pay around $1.50 after tax for a donut. Can't really get anything for that cheap anymore. Southern Maid is well known for having good donuts across Louisiana, so nobody really thinks twice about the drive through being as rough as it has been over the years. Their service always more than makes up for it. So glad they're getting the money to fix things up to better serve themselves and their customers :) Christina did get ONE thing right though. Open the inside!! I miss seeing everyone's smiling faces and smelling the donut shop. What exactly does someone do in the drive thru to earn tips? You only have a handful of employees. Are you telling me you can't pay them a liveable wage? On top of that the inside is STILL closed. Is it ever going to be opened again? I remember decades ago we'd get off work from the graveyard shift at the AT&T plant and come here to get some breakfast and come inside and relax. Can't do that now and not for many years. This place used to be so much better than it is now.
