The food here was borderline inedible. The main issue is their sauce, which is either on or on the side of most of the dishes we ordered. It's easily the worst tomato sauce I've eaten at a restaurant. It was sweet, thick and chunky. The pizza was very undercooked, and the spinach dip and the crisps that came with it were bland but the pasta that came with the chicken parm was the the standout worst part. I'm all for al dente but this thick tagliatelle was plain undercooked and then slathered in that same disgusting sauce. Is sweet sauce a New England thing? The vibe and ambience keep this from a 1 star review. The service was also good. We had to wait 40min for a table of 4 on a Wed night, which means this place is popular but for the life of me, I can't see why. read more

The Pasta Bolengnaise is so good, and they are known for flatbread pizza. Service is shuttle but so on point.

As always we left Crisp very satisfied, hands down one of the better restaurants in the Cape! Covid has caused many restaurants to have a significant reduction in service and surprisingly food quality but Crisp remains immune to this. We ordered pasta dish along with a pizza both were prepared and tasted excellent but our server this time was exceptional. Saturday we popped in for an early dinner ! Found seats at the bar with Charley! We shared the arugula salad and wings for starters. My husband had a beer and I enjoyed the lychee sake lemonade. This place has an insanely great reputation on the Cape. Almost everyone suggests it and I guess I see the hype. Their outdoor seating is awesome and the flatbread pizzas are pretty good. The server suggest the scallop and bacon, so I tried it and it was pretty good. Only one or two of my slices actually had bacon on it though which was sad. Because it was lacking, I definitely missed that saltiness that would have balanced the sweet scallops. Truffle fries were good, service was decent. read more

Everyone is cheerful at Crisp, especially Meghan (Shania) and all the servers enjoyed watching me park my car between the lines for a few laughs. Service from Meghan was prompt and friendly. The Margherita pizza was hot and crispy. Tomatoes cheese and basil leaves covered my pizza along w swirls of a basil/cream sauce. We added Italian sausage to complete our pizza. We ate in and were very pleased with the food as well as the service. We had the meatballs which were very good although the sauce was a little too sweet for my liking. Note to all kitchens the memo going around about sugar being the devil is real! I am giving two stars only because my spinach salad was good and refreshing. The garlic bread was also delicious. Even after sitting in a parchment paper bag for about 30 minutes the bread was still soft and not soggy. Now for the bad. I just came from work and had reflective gear on. I'm an out of towner and didn't know there was another store across the street. As soon as I walked in the gentleman says you know there's a walk up pizza counter place across the street we're you can get a slice to go. I simply responded with no I'm good and grabbed a menu off the counter. For the main dish, I decided to keep it simple, so I thought. Chicken parmigiana over their fresh pasta. Sauce/gravy (whatever you want to call it) was actually pretty good and the pasta was cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed it! The main show of the dish was about a 2 inch thick piece of chicken breast covered in burnt Panko. Where in the world do you fry a whole breast, not butterflied or even pounded/tenderized a little and fry it. I was so hungry I didn't care what it tasted like so I ate it plus I didn't feel like going back out to give back the food. If you can't cook a simple dish like chicken parmigiana then maybe you don't need to be in the kitchen. Maybe I'm being a little spoiled. Maybe that's the way people like their chicken on the cape. Went here for lunch while visiting my elders, auntie and uncle, and my cousin's shop across the street, Katherine! The parking lot had ample easy parking. The outdoor tables were spread out but it was scorching hot so we went inside. I was happy to see that there were just a few tables inside. All the servers wear masks. I ordered a gluten-free pizza with goat cheese and arugula but it didn't come out that good. The server warned me that it wasn't his cup of tea, but i was trying to make the best choice for myself since i was there. The pizzas are sized for one hungry person, thin crispy crust. My relatives had the Marguerite which was so yummy! There's some special slightly sweet basil sauce they add that kicks it up in yumminess, lunch and dessert all at once. We ate their leftovers on our 4 hour drive home and it was still good cold! They have a great selection of draft. My relatives ordered a bottle corona and they were served a corona light. No one came to check if we were doing ok or needed anything, but when we needed something we did manage to flag someone down and they helped us right away. Friendly folks. Does Crisp have the best pizza on the Cape? Yes. Have they had a wait every time I've gone for dinner? Also yes. Sooo, I think we can safely assume I'm not the only one that feels that their pizza rocks. Rest easy though! I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 15-20 minutes for parties of 2-3 and if you stake out the bar area, the seating over there is first come first served. This place is a summer scene. I've only managed to get a spot outside once. The outdoor area has everything from a fire pit and Adirondack chairs to an adorably quaint outdoor bar station. Regarding food, the beautiful *basil* balsamic that they drizzle in a perfect spiral over the margherita pizza is life-changing. If you want a more adventurous pie or a create-your-own pie and the flavors work for what you picked, I'd add this onto your pizza above all else. As you might have figured, this is a crisp, thin-crust, pizza. Neapolitan style pizzas will always reign supreme for me personally, but I haven't managed to find that on the Cape. Thus, Crisp reigns supreme in this region of MA. Also worth noting, Crisp is one of the only pizza places I've been to that has a vegetarian protein option--"crispy" tofu.
