NY style calabrian with artisan pepperoni
Dung N.

I came here to try their pizza a couple of years ago and ran into a friend! I ordered the NY Style Calabrian with artisan pepperoni, a Neopolitan style San Diegan with hot honey, and a cranberry salad with marinated chicken breast. Everything was ready in about 20 minutes. I liked that the dressing was on the side. The dressing was great and they give you lots of chicken! I liked both of my pizzas! The dough was good! I ended up getting some gelato after. They only have a few flavor, but I'm glad I saved some room because it was very refreshing!

Worth Every Penny! Our Guests Are Still Talking About Criscito Pizza! We hired Criscito Pizza to cater our daughter's baby sprinkle. They were hands down one of the highlights of the entire celebration. Our package included all eight signature pizzas and every single one was outstanding. The Honey Basil Garlic was definitely a crowd favorite, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Guests also raved about the Lasagna Pizza (my own favorite!), Sweet Heat, Calabrian, Mushroom Truffle (this was devoured immediately), Margherita, the little kiddies favorites...Pepperoni and NYC Cheese. There was truly something for everyone and not a single pizza disappointed. The crust deserves its own review! It is organic! Several of our guests commented that it tasted like fresh artisan bread...light, airy and perfectly chewy with just the right amount of char. Friends and family who drove down from Los Angeles said the pizza alone was worth the trip to San Diego (and of course, spending time with us! :). Others called the flavors "extraordinary" because they were unlike typical pizza. You can tell Criscito uses high-quality ingredients and takes pride in EVERY pizza they make. The fresh spinach salad with feta, dried cranberries, walnuts, olive oil and balsamic glaze was also delicious and paired perfectly with the pizzas. But what truly made the experience exceptional were Desiree and Matthew. They worked tirelessly throughout the event, constantly baking fresh pizzas, replenishing the buffet, and serving our guests with genuine smiles. I started calling them the "Pizza Fairies" because they seemed to sprinkle a little magic on every pizza they made. They made everything look effortless while providing first-class service. Another thing I appreciated was how self-sufficient they were. They brought their own electricity, potable water, plates, napkins, and utensils, so I never had to worry about a thing. They handled everything professionally from start to finish. Criscito Pizza isn't the cheapest caterer you'll find, but this is one of those times when you truly get what you pay for. The quality of the ingredients, the artisan craftsmanship, the incredible flavors, and the outstanding service made every dollar worthwhile. If you want your guests talking about the food long after your event is over, book Criscito Pizza. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Desiree and Matthew again. They helped make our daughter's baby sprinkle unforgettable and I can't recommend them highly enough!

The service was great and the pizza was even better. Noah was so nice and let us sample the gelato while we waited for our pizza. Pizza was done in no time and it was so much better than we expected. The crust, the sauce the toppings... all great quality and so delicious. Also, the restaurant was very clean with a spread of cheese and pepper shakers by the water dispenser. We can't wait to have them cater our wedding.

WOW! FANTASTIC!!! Currently loving the Calabrian with sausage, peppers, garlic, mozzarella, and I added ricotta. Chose NY over Neapolitan crust since I prefer crispy over soft. Both types of crusts are the same thickness, so I'm told. Fairly empty on a Saturday night, lots of take out, so lots of tables available. Clean and simple pizzeria. Highly recommend! Patient service as I had several questions my first time here. When I say clean, take a peek behind the register, kitchen is also immaculate! And did I say ORGANIC DOUGH?!! Elated

Small quaint shop with a super tasty menu! Tucked away in the middle of Carmel, is a hidden gem crafting personal pizzas and healthy salads. I came here with a friend and had the arugula pizza and chop salad with a green sauce. Pizza was amazing - dough was chewy without being soggy and their red sauce was really good. 9/10 in their simplicity and quality execution.

We had Criscito cater my family reunion. They have a pizza oven that they bring on site. Communication with Phil, the owner, was easy before the event. Day of the event they arrive a few hours before the serving time in order to fire up the wood-fired oven. The catering menu has 8 flavors of pizza & 2 types of salad (Caesar & spinach). They also offer gluten free & vegan if desired. Our guests raved about pizzas & salads. Max & Des who ran the catering were friendly & accommodating. They cleaned up the area where we served which was appreciated. Highly recommend Criscito for catering.

This place is amazing! High quality ingredients, delicious, fresh, made to order pizzas that are authentic Italian style. The staff is friendly and the wait times were quick. I Also absolutely loved the area and the ambiance sitting outside eating near the fountain and beautiful scenery.

Ordered margaritas pizza neopolitan taste 3.5/5 quality and Ny style pepperoni 3.5/5 taste. The dough was really good but Pretty expensive for the size of the pizza. Also NY style pepperoni pizza was the same as neopolitan. In dining experience was whatever, you dont get anyserice lol. So just order to go save money on Tip. Near by pizza shop such as Regent pizza had better pizza and size/price and customer service but I guess because they do have more ppl working. Their salad was 3.8/5

I really enjoyed this place, it's a little hard to find since it's between apartments but worth it. Pizza is fresh, the place is very cute plenty of seating inside and the staff were nice. I would return and try other stuff on the menu,

Couldn't wait to eat a piece before the pic!

I was visiting Scripps and was dying for a pizza. I found Criscito Pizza and hit it on the way home. I love figs so the fig and feta pizza was the obvious choice. I like that it had mozzarella too. At pickup I realized they had gelato, it was awesome too. It is in a small retail area next to a large apartment/condo complex so a little tricky, but so worth it. I shared it was a friend and she agreed it was the best!! Great job guys. Wonderful variety and supreme taste! I will be back for more fig/feta pizza!!

10/10 -- A Love Story with Criscito Pizza Criscito Pizza will forever hold a special place in our hearts -- they catered our wedding in June 2019, and guests STILL rave about that pizza to this day. Nearly six years later, we finally made it back to their Torrey Hills spot... and let me tell you -- it's just as magical as it was on our big day. Every bite took us right back to those joyful wedding vibes. The Honey Garlic Basil Pizza is pure perfection -- a sweet, savory, herby masterpiece. The Carbonara Pizza? Silky, rich, and utterly crave-worthy. And the Calabria Pizza brings the perfect kick to round out your pizza pilgrimage. But wait... whatever you do, DO NOT sleep on the gelato. Their banana gelato might just be the best thing I've ever had in a cup. It's a flavor explosion -- creamy, dreamy, and the ideal finish after devouring a few pies. The team here is wonderful, the quality is top-notch, and the food is clearly crafted with love and care. Whether you're getting married, celebrating life, or just craving the best pizza in town -- Criscito delivers in every way. We will be back -- again and again and again. Thank you, Criscito, for being part of our forever story!

We had Criscito Pizza cater our wedding, and I think it was everyone's favorite wedding dinner they have ever had. Phil had amazing communication with myself and my wedding planner, asking the right questions and even taking the time to walk and understanding the challenging guidelines at our venue. He clearly made his services clear and managed everything effortlessly. He brought the pizza oven, and a team of serves and dishwashers that made the entire dinner a breeze. With a table of 10 different pizza options, our guests were happy, and full. It was a joy to try so many different kinds, and served as the perfect late snack as the night went on. I am so thankful we found Criscito Pizza and were able to work with Phil.

Do you have sourdough crusts?

Yes ma’am. Our normal dough is sourdough. We do throw a pinch of fresh yeast in there for lightness, but sourdough starter is doing almost all of the leavening.…

Does the vegan pizza have vegan cheese on it or is it just veggies?

Just veggies but we can add vegan cheese :)

Do you have gluten free crust available?

Yes we do :)

I ordered a latte and neglected to tell them it was for here so I was given a paper cup, but they give real cups if you ask. The latte was good, and my friend bought a kitchen sink type cookie with chocolate, coconut, and macadamia nuts. It was warm and gooey good! Another friend tried the gelato and said it was very good. There are a few tables inside and tables out in front outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather. Damn. I love pizza…read more I really do. The issue here is that Gelati & Peccati has made it very difficult to enjoy other pizzas. It was so good that I've had to compartmentalize a bit so I can go about my life enjoying lesser pizza such that I can still kind of find a "bad" slice of greasy pizza satisfying. Anyway. Gelati & Peccati, roman-style pizza extraodinaires. I have tried a few of their slices by now, but my absolute favorite is the Lussuria. Potato on pizza is something I've always loved, and don't see enough of, so I knew I had to get it here. It did not disappoint. When I stop by to try something new, I always, always have to get a slice of Lussuria. Others I've tried have been the Meatball, Piccante and Mangia. They've all been great, but a step below Lussuria. 5/5, will come again, and again, and again
