Five Stars is significantly underrating this business. We had just purchased new appliances but our ceilings are higher than average and although we bought name brand range with a vent, they didn't make a range hood flue cover that length and were told we would need a custom built. The store recommended Crippen and I honestly can't express enough about what a great job they did and how it easy it was to work with them. The day after the appliances were installed, we contacted them and I spoke to Cary. I was able to email him some photos and he got to work on it right away. Within days they were out to measure and once they knew what it would take, they gave me a quote. My biggest problem was I was under a critical time crunch. This was a new home and in order to "close" on the loan, the final inspector wanted certain things accomplished, one of which was to have the custom flue cover installed and when I say time was of the essence, I was talking days. The critical part was if we didn't close on time, we would have lost a low interest rate we were locked into. I let Cary know the details and he assured me they would have it done before the end of the week when the final inspection was supposed to take place. Not only did they get it done before the end of the week... they did the work in one day! And these days with people being backed up for weeks at a time, it's nice to know people will respond to emergencies. If you need anything involving sheet metal, you will be in great hands with Crippen Sheet Metal. It wasn't just the amazing customer service, their speed in an urgent situation, but also the quality of their work. I've never once had them tell me they couldn't do something I was asking for. We priced out our custom table top to a few different fabricators and Crippen had the best pricing of the product based on the expected end result. They didn't inform us the important wood framing was not included. This framing was crucial to the construction of the overall table. If we'd known it would have been disregarded, we would have been happy to supply it or move on to another fabricator. We waited weeks for an estimate, ample time for the company to look at our specs and let us know their capabilities and limits. Unfortunately, bringing the table up to the original spec will now cost us more time and money while increasing the chance of damaging the table. The product we received was good, just not at all what we were anticipating or counting on. No refund was offered or granted when requested. Really frustrating and disappointing. read more

Mr. Bill Lancaster is a new hero of mine. I've had raccoons coming through my pet door and needed some metal cut to put in the pet door. He said come on by and we will cut it while you wait. I was out of there in 15 minutes. They did a perfect cut and it fit my door perfectly. I was so excited about the work but then Mr. Lancaster told me "no charge".
