How lucky are we to have this fabulous family owned business near our home!…read moreOur first project with them was to recover all our dining room chairs. We brought photos of the room, the rug, etc...and they were so helpful in choosing a fabric that brightened up the room! Our second recent project was an 1800's Victorian Corner Chair that was in the attic for years. I emailed Barry photos and he emailed right back with suggestions (to not refinish the wood as to keep the original patina) and a quote. We brought in the chair and Toni brought out various samples to choose from. The orignial silk was a teal/blue and she assisted us in finding a beautiful fabric. The chair was polished and looks just gorgeous. This family has the knowledge, the eye and the professionalism you need! And they are very responsive and super friendly. Before and after photos of both projects are below. BTW the photos don't do them justice. We are anticipating another project...soon! Thank you to Barry, Toni and the entire family!

My cats destroyed the fabric, and the chair moved to the basement, where it remained until we moved to a new house about a month ago. I almost threw the chair out, but couldn't bear the thought of parting with it. So I contacted Vinny at Miro Upholstery, and he couldn't have been nicer. I went to the store to pick out a fabric, and Vinny suggested that I take some fabric books home. He gave me several books, my husband and I went through them and selected one. Miro picked up the chair and the fabric books, and today, about a month later, the chair was delivered. It is more beautiful than I could have imagined. New foam, new fabric, they touched up the wood - it's an antique chair that looks brand new. I'm completely thrilled. This was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend Miro Upholstery.

I love his "old school" vibe--he comes personally to your house to inspect the furniture and tell you what is and isn't possible. And kudos to his crew who moved that beast in and out without leaving a scratch!

Snezana suggested that it might be easier for us if she came to our house to look at the situation, so that we could avoid having to schlep a big piece of furniture over for possibly no reason. She came by the very next day and told us the sad news that the chair's construction made it impossible to do a quality job. She charged nothing for the visit and was prompt, courteous, and super helpful (and also really sympathetic). It is unbelievably rare to experience this kind of attention and service these days, and this little company well deserves recognition for this. The quality of their work looks awesome, by the way, because the chairs our neighbors' had recovered by them look fabulous. Five stars for service, quality and integrity! Moral of the story: Never buy furniture upholstered with "bicast" leather! It's not real leather and it peels horribly, usually right after the warranty expires.
