Brian was very quick to respond to my email as I searched for an upholster to brighten my 42 inch round ottoman, one early morning. My daughter and I dropped it off that same morning and a week later, Brian delivered this absolutely amazing, beautifully re-upholstered ottoman for my family room. I needed a very long bench seat and back cushion for a custom breakfast bench and a smaller one for a mudroom. Brian was very responsive in terms of material quantity needed and quote. This review is late as I had work done at Richards last December. Richard's saved my couch I bought from a lousy furniture store that is supposed to have good furniture. My wife said not to put their name in this review so I wont. Their furniture looks good but doesn't last and is cheaply made. My wife bought a couch with down filled cushions. For about 3 months it was fine. Then the cushions could not be fluffed up anymore and you felt like you were sitting on the ground. My wife almost made me buy a new couch for $3,800 from a different store but I had an idea! Replace the down with styrofoam or whatever it is. Richard took all the cushions and replaced the lousy down with styrofoam saving the couch and saving me $3,800!! The cushions are very comfortable to sit on and they dont lose their shape. Richard is one of the old world craftsman you hardly ever find. He CARES about the quality of his work! If you need upholstery work bring your stuff to Richard's! Brian made a custom netted storage bag to store life jackets underneath my boat hard top. All he needed was a few photos and measurements that I had taken earlier. I am very pleased with the result. Having dealt with traditional marine upholsterers Richard is a breath of fresh air. Although not advertised as a marine upholsterer Richard is a previous boat owner and knows what he is doing.
