The only employee around was standing by the returns area doing nothing but talking with co workers. When my girlfriend went up to ask for help, Taliah immediately had an attitude. When my girlfriend turned her back and walked away, Taliah made a comment under her breath, and shook her head like we were inconveniencing her just for asking for assistance. Then we were left standing there for about seven minutes while she continued doing whatever she was doing. When she finally came over, she acted like helping us was a burden. No apology, no urgency, just a rude, dismissive attitude the entire time. If you don't want to help customers, you shouldn't be working in customer service. This was a terrible experience, and if I was looking for an employee to not hire and promote it would be her.

The reason I came here was because the closest Apple Store is over an hour away from Athens, and I thought this would be convenient. At the Apple Store, a transfer takes 2-3 hours max. I was fine with waiting a few extra days, though. I called on Wednesday to check the status of the transaction and they had forgotten about it and had yet to begin working on my computer. I started writing this post two years ago and just found it in my drafts, so I'll post what I have. Don't remember much more than what was already typed other than it was one of the worst customer service experiences in my life. Pretty sure they kept my computer for about a week and ended up not being able to do anything with it. Ended up driving to Apple and got it fixed within a day. It's my kind of museum. Wuxtry Records never disappoints, and it's another Athens staple; they have been there since 1976. When I was at UGA, I swear my roommate/bestie and I went here weekly. It's right in the heart of downtown Athens, and it offers everything you would need and expect from an independently owned record shop that has survived many decades. Great collections and variety, while also extremely and intentionally organized. Some of my favorite bands have come out of the Classic City that is Athens, GA such as R.E.M, The B-52's, and Widespread Panic, so it only makes sense that there would be such an epic and well-known record shop here. If you know Athens, especially downtown, you know parking is limited and they do ticket if you don't pay the meters, so definitely recommend going during the week and earlier in the day. I was so happy to stop in my last visit in town, and it was even more nostalgic and sweet because I had my best friend and old college roommate with me.
