    My name is Josh Sursa and I've had AT&T for over 20 years. We just purchased a new home November…read more15, 2021. We started the process of getting new Internet service at our home on November 11, 2021. We were told someone would be at our house on November 17 and waited for more than four hours and no one showed up or called or emailed to state that no one is coming. We called AT&T back the evening of the 17th and they stated someone else has an active account at this address. We got the previous owners on the phone with AT&T and they never had your Internet service at this home. They even drove to an AT&T store on November 20, to prove that they never had AT&T service. The previous owner is a cop and told AT&T that the previous service must be fraud as the home is one year old and they were the only owners. At this point we were told everything has been cleared and a new service technician would be scheduled to show up at our home to connect our Internet service. On the 21st we went to the store and spoke to the manager. She manually entered our technician request. She stated they would be out on the 22nd or 23rd and we would get an email confirmation. We never received any emails so we followed up daily on the phone with AT&T and spent over two hours every call trying to get this resolved. On the 23rd we were told to provide proof of residency documents. We have emailed the warranty deed to our home as well as a bill showing we have electrical service at our home. We have emailed this information three different times and AT&T still cannot clear our account. (Case ID 72717292, Case ID 72748776, Case ID 72755110). On Thanksgiving morning we finally were able to schedule a technician to come out on Friday the 26th. The technician came out and hooked up the equipment but sill cannot provide service because he said the previous owners have an EarthLink account that is still connected to this address. We bothered the previous owners again asking if they would double check that their prior account with EarthLink was canceled. They called and confirmed that their account was canceled. We called AT&T back and spent two hours on the phone with four different people letting them know again that the EarthLink account was canceled. We were then told because according to your records the previous account is a business account it would take 15 days before we can have an answer on whether we could get Internet service. My wife and I work from home and make a living by using Internet service. We have been working from home for 20 years and never had such issues. We have done everything AT&T has requested (which has changed every call we make to your company) and there is still no resolve to our problem. We have been told by multiple managers that they were looking into it and would call us back. Only one has called us back of the eight we have spoken to. However the message remains the same-nothing can be done. We have exhausted all options over the phone and are asking for your help to fix the situation so we can work on Monday morning. Please look into the ridiculous run around we have been given. We have tried to report this as fraud since it clearly is and that hasn't been resolved either. We have had an easier time buying this house than obtaining internet. The system is clearly broken. Please help resolve this.

    NEVER GO HERE!! I went into the store to upgrade my phone…read moreusing the promotional trade in. I was given 14 days to make sure that everything works before giving them my trade in phone. When I returned to the store 8 days later to give them my trade in phone I had to wait 45 min and then I was told that the person who sold me the phone added a line to my account and attached my trade in to the new line. I was told the new line is costing me $20 per month and I can't cancel it or I will lose my trade in. The only other option is to return my phone with all of the original packaging which I no longer have. The trade in was supposed to be a $19 credit per month but now I have an additional $20 charge.
