I contacted them and they said that was out of warranty after 2 years and asked $10,700 to fix it after admitting the mistakes that were done building it. I extremely recommend not to hire them! I met Yusniel with Cricket Pavers in December 2024. He promised to turn my dreams into a reality and my backyard into a paradise. The project cost was $90,000 for a pool remodel, jacuzzi addition and deck.  Contract signed in March 2025. The never gave me a rendering of the project despite multiple requests.  They began work in April 2025. The company did not obtain any permits for the project. They told me permits weren't needed for a simple remodel and if I opt for no permits the job will take 3 months; with permits 6 months and I may get in trouble with the county if my shed isn't permitted. They assured me they do all work according to county code. The company did not properly secure the work area and my 14 year old deaf bulldog fell in the pool, broke her hip, and had to be euthanized. Yusniel told me "oh we could have put a safety fence around the pool." They never secured the area for safety; the county mandated I do it in 72hrs or be fined. They don't listen to the recommendations of the specialists they subcontract. They don't even listen to what the customer wants. They tried to give me cheaper pool equipment than what was promised, cheaper plaster for the pool, and hope the customer is dumb enough to not notice. Yusniel blatantly lied to me about what we agreed on and when I called him out he stated "well the work is already done." He said he was going to remove just the screen on my patio and when I walked outside my entire screened in patio was destroyed. DESTROYED!  They he messaged me to tell me all the materials of the aluminum patio were rotted. I have video of their guy ripping it apart and kicking it out in less than an hour... of course now everything is bad.  I believe his plan from the beginning was to destroy my screened in patio and force me to put in a new pergola with them. In September I finally contacted the owner of Cricket Pavers, Ariel, since I couldn't work with Yusniel anymore.  He is a nice guy who will swindle you with a smile. Ariel tried to rectify the situation but there was no plan on his end, and apparently no money (where did my $54k go?). He agreed to replace my screened in patio if I paid for the materials, even though I emailed them I wouldn't pay for anything, I agreed as this was a mess and I just wanted my backyard back. He tried to blame everything on his plumber and then brought in a new pool guy named Carlos, who I didn't trust and who didn't speak English. Ariel built a new sun shelf on the other side of the pool claiming to "give me the party pool I wanted!" At my age who the heck wants a party pool??? I told him I want a pool I can relax in and swim in. So then he agreed to build it out to give me what was promised from the beginning. Unfortunately the project was so far beyond fixing, Ariel gave me 2 options... keep going and build out as agreed and my pool will crack in 3 years or demolish everything and start fresh. My 3rd option of giving me a refund wasn't an option for him as he claimed to have so much invested in the project and he knew he could give me the yard I was promised. He said with the demo I may have to pay an additional 10k, or 5k or maybe not even anything additional but he was just letting me know. I felt stuck so I agreed to let them demolish and start fresh. Made him sign an addendum to the contract and I refused to let work be done without a rendering. He wanted me to allow his guy Carlos to come and "just do his thing" to not delay anymore. I wouldn't allow it. I demanded at least a rendering so we're all on the same page. A week later on 11/21/2025 he said a rendering may be done that day or by the next week, I then sent him a picture of an overflow spa I would like done. Ariel said it would be 8k more. I told him I felt like that was something they should give me considering all I have endured. He said he is "giving me a new pool and not doing patch work." So now I should be grateful for him! I was not happy with his response and I let him know and he then stated "he tried to be a gentleman by agreeing to build me a brand new pool" claimed "this approach will not work with me" and then stated he isn't "comfortable working with me any longer." Ariel stated I "am holding on to the past which is behind us and not moving towards the future." He previously claimed my pavers were paid for and are sitting in an air conditioned warehouse. He refused to deliver the pavers to my house. I demanded my pavers and a breakdown the $54k I paid and he said he isn't delivering the pavers and I would have the breakdown it by the next week. Never received anything! On 12/1/25 I received a call from the plumber they fired and still owed $5k to telling me they contacted him to give them a $25,000 inflated invoice for work done at my property. At that point I called all the news stations, reported them to DPBR and Miami-Dade county. He refuses to give me money back and has NO INTEGRITY. BEWARE! read more

Listen I absolutely hate dealing with contractors - especially in Miami. I have a lot of horror stories and am super hesitant about doing renovation projects because of my past experiences. However, I recently purchased a boat and needed to expand my driveway so that I could park the boat on the side of the house. I have Chicago brick, which can be tricky to source. I reached out to about ten contractors in Miami via email. Only three responded. Of the three, Ariel with Cricket was the most responsive. We immediately went back and forth via text, I sent him the info he needed, he quoted me a fair price, and three days later his guys dropped off the materials, and the day after, they did the driveway in one day! I was very impressed. The crew worked hard and efficiently. It was about 700 sq ft of driveway in a day. They did a nice concrete footer around the bricks as well. I included a pic, it's still sandy because they just finished it, but I wanted to give my thanks on here and help keep people informed. I would definitely use them again. read more

After months of phone calls, regarding the quality of the driveway, followed by promises to come by and check it out, and even a visit by Ariel, And Alex, nothing has been done to fix the driveway as promised. Literally months have gone by, and many promises to come by and check out the driveway, followed by no-shows. When I call to ask him to come by again, they just say they are too busy. On one occasion, Alex or Ariel did come by, and promised to have his guys come by and look at the driveway and repair it. they did not show, and I did not get calls back. I have been chasing these guys for about six or seven months now. The problem stemmed from needing another concrete truck to finish off the job when the original concrete ran out. The quality of the second trucks concrete was clearly inferior, and has made the driveway look extremely bad. Alex promised they would resurface the driveway, or do whatever was necessary to fix it. They have failed in their multiple Promises each and every time. I am truly at my wits end. Attached are pictures of the two driveway entrances. The first one was the original concrete pour. The second one is half original concrete pour and half second truck pour. It's obvious that the composition of the concrete was different, and inferior. I don't believe it had the fiberglass reinforcement in it that I paid for. Although they seem like nice guys, I am extremely disappointed with their integrity and follow up. I would caution anybody against using them, as they do not follow through on their word. read more

My husband and I used this company based on their good reviews; however our experience was not up to par. For starters they're overpriced for the amount of concrete they laid. Almost immediately we noticed a crack and decided to contact them. At first they said not to worry, they'd fix it when they finished the job they were in. After a week, we decided to call them again and that's when the run around started. Weeks passed and they even promised us they'd even acid stain our concrete for free if we just waited a bit longer. Long story short it's been 2 years and we're still waiting for a callback. This is definitely not reputable company and I most certainly would never refer them to anyone. A friend recommended this company and their quote was ok - not very expensive, but not necessarily a great deal. Unfortunately, they caused so much ch damage that the price turned out to be much more than expected. They cut through the internet cable, cracked 3 sidewalk pavers backing their truck, left all the palettes on my fro t yard, and left sand all over my front and back yard. Now I have to pay for the repairs and clean up. I am not unreasonable in thinking that any company should clean up the job site before they leave, am I? They used subcontractors for all of the work so next time I can just contact those people directly and get a better cost and also a more professional service. Also they were not great in communication. The person I dealt with missed my first appointment and was not great at responding to messages. I would recommend anyone to shop around for a better company. I wouldn't want anyone to go through this. read more

They made a mess of repair of my driveway pavers. Not only did they not call before showing up to do the job, no one spoke English. They started tearing up the pavers in the driveway approach while my car was parked in the same driveway! The pavers were not evenly applied, nor was the sand between the spaces. The cement border was a mess and unevenly applied. Much of the cement border was mixed in with the dirt from my lawn. I was so disgusted. I am waiting for Ariel to show up to see the mess. He was on the phone with the supervisor who was on my property who knocked on my door to say "we are done" and when I went out to look at the driveway I was shocked and disgusted. He told Ariel that they were not done with the job. I don't know if cement dust is all over the pavers because they hosed it down and it looks like water mixed in with cement that sits on the pavers and it is awful. read more

We are repeat customers!!! We used Cricket Pavers in our previous home for pavers in the backyard and we could not have been happier. When we moved to our new home we needed to redo the entire pool and surrounding area and we were so lucky to find out that Cricket Pavers does it all! Our pool was hideous and we had a slope that would always flood toward the house.
