Because of the reviews I read I was hesitant to use CRI.. Jonni assured me people never leave good ones..mostly just the bad ones get posted from people that usually arent telling the whole story. I was relocating to the area in a few weeks and time was running out. So instead of listening to him 100%, I went ahead with w other companies,, I spent a bunch of money on app fees just to be told there were a few other apps before me. PROPERTY OWNERS - DO NOT USE CRI - THEY WILL PLACE YOU AT RISK. I LOVE the house that I am renting - but will be moving out because they do not respond to maintenance requests. When they do respond - they send their internal Handyman - who does not know what he is doing. He repaired 4 items - all 4 are broken again. Very interesting too that when you submit requests through their online portal - you are told not to do so - and to Text the requests to a phone number. I can only assume that text is being used to hide their performance from Property owners, make it harder for a tenant to take legal action. A reputable Property Management company does NOT conduct maintenance requests via text. I would also like to point out that the home I am renting sat empty for 8 months or more before I started looking. I have a friend who is a relator, that took me to the property. When I submitted my application, CRI told me that I had to complete the application, provide proof of income, and pay for a credit report to be pulled BEFORE they would show me the house. They weren't aware that I had already seen the house. I then understood why this home sat vacant for many months - Would you provide all of your personal details, and pay for a credit report just to be shown a house???!!! I certainly wouldn't. This is an additional example of their laziness. There is an excess of rental properties in the market - listing your property with CRI will NOT put you in a position to get your home rented quickly and then after the maintenance request issues - your tenant will move out of the house no matter how wonderful it is. read more

I rented with CRI for two years while i was stationed in Jacksonville and they were the best renting experience I've have in my ten years of renting. All of their staff members were very friendly and accommodating. Any service request we had were completed within 24 hours. Our water heater started leaking on a Monday and by Tuesday morning the entire unit was replaced. They will not cater to military and their obligations and when leaving the rental you will be charged for every bit of money possible. I was charged over $1000 for lawn care on a lawn I cut and trimmed on my move out day and for a leasing service fee of $400 to have the home shown by an outside realtor so they can get their pockets filled with a commission. I was moving from PA to NC. Kelley, at CRI Properties probably spent the good part of an hour on the phone with me talking with me and getting to know me and what I was looking for in a rental. Talk about hospitality! We don't have that up in PA. Kelley and her husband own the company. Their daughter, Kendal, is a realtor and also has her own construction crew. She, and her crew, are workhorses and not only updated the house I'm renting from top to bottom, but in good taste, as well! They also helped me to unload my truck and put the heavy things into place for me, moving in alone, and not knowing anyone in the area. They were vigilant in finding me a quality residence, extremely responsive when/if I have any issues, their staff has been nothing short of professional and cordial. We lived in Jax, NC for 6 years, then had orders to move. We held on to the house expecting to return to Camp Lejeune, but never did. We have been renting the house now for 22 years. CRI has done a great job managing the property, handled all the issues, kept me well posted, and even provided temporary assistance when the heat pump broke. Saying "I'd give them zero stars if I could" is a bit of a cliché, but it's definitely true here. I don't go through the trouble of writing negative reviews often, but in this case, the amount incompetence I have encountered when dealing with CRI Properties makes me want to do everything I can to warn others to stay away. My four year long nightmare began in the fall of 2014 when I moved from Jacksonville to Charlotte and needed someone to rent out and manage my property. You see, I can't sell my property for what I owe on it due to the rampant irresponsible new home construction that occurred in Jacksonville in the years prior to my move. I signed a property management agreement with CRI properties. To their credit, they have always quickly found a tenant for the home. However, numerous acts of unprofessional behavior, particularly on the part of staff in the maintenance department, have led me to believe that my property will be better managed by a different company. The following is an account of many, but not all of the problems these people have caused me. More than once I have not been made aware of repairs done until after the invoice was submitted. At times, these invoices were only submitted in the owners' statement and not brought to my attention through any other means. On many occasions, invoices are sent to me with a very vague description of the work being done. Sometimes, estimates are sent to me for repairs that are not needed and have not been requested. The staff additionally fails to follow up with information on what repairs should be considered high/moderate/low priority. In May 2018, I learned I needed to replace my air conditioning system by receiving an invoice in my email on a Saturday morning. NO additional explanation was given as to when and under what circumstances they discovered a problem (they had already had access to the property for more than a week at that point). I believe they did this intentionally to prevent me from getting additional estimates, as a new tenant was going to move in less than a week after they dropped this bomb on me. In May 2018, I authorized paint work with the request that the work be documented in photographs. This request, along with numerous requests for follow up, were ignored. I eventually found out that they had not taken photos like I asked. Without photographs, I have no evidence that the work was done AT ALL, much less that it was done professionally and to my satisfaction. Following my previous tenant's move out, the inspection report was uploaded to the owner portal more than a week after it was done and only after I sent an email requesting it. Upon reviewing my previous tenants' move out inspection, it was obvious the tenants had an unauthorized pet. The unauthorized pet fee was not charged to the tenants' account until I contacted accounting about it. Furthermore, nail holes and damage to the walls and flooring from previous tenants have not been repaired or charged to their deposits. Once it was confirmed that the maintenance department in fact had not completed my request for photographs of the paint work, they refused to acknowledge that a mistake had been made, did not apologize for not doing their job as asked, and did not make any attempt to ease my frustration with the situation. Furthermore, they forwarded the email conversation to the broker in charge and there has been no follow up from him. So far, it has been a month since this email string was forwarded to him and I have not received one email or phone call seeking to retain my business. If you look at reviews, you will see that many of Jacksonville's largest property management companies have similar complaints from property owners. As someone who grew up in Jacksonville, I can tell you the real estate industry there is infested with incompetent morons, and CRI has on numerous occasions proven fitting of the stereotype. If you are looking for property management services, go with a small company (the Jacksonville old boys/girls club is the WORST), and for God's sake, don't go with a company that has their own maintenance division. read more

Aweful experience. I hired CRI to manage my rental property while I was stationed overseas. CRI consistently failed to conduct property inspections in accordance with their advertised policy. When it came time to advertise the property, they were unable to accurately describe the property. I asked that the property be advertised as "Pet Friendly", and did so to both the advertising agent and a direct appeal to the owner no less than 4 times. The issue was never resolved. Per a phone conversation, I was also informed that they do not show homes until the current tenant moves out. Pre-move out inspections are apparently not conducted at all... don't plan on aligning maintenance (repainting/re-carpeting) with unoccupied times unless you want the property vacant for months. My tenants move in inspection indicated that half of my dishwasher and one eye on the stove didn't work. CRI signed the paperwork, but took no action (including notifying me of the discrepancies). The tenants also noted that the property was "nasty" when they moved in. Apparently, CRI did not require the exiting tenant to clean when they moved out, nor did they give me the option to have the place cleaned to make it more marketable. Finally, and most concerning, if you contact the ownership, they will disarm your frustration and assure you that the situation (whatever it is) is being worked and will be resolved. BEWARE! Find a way to follow up with your tenant as I had discrepancies that I paid for repairs that were not conducted. read more

Back in 2007 I had their "Maintenance Medics" come out to do some work on my house as part of closing on a house. Of all the things on the list, most of them (the most important ones) were done incorrectly (blown-in insulation without using a blower! -- they just took some out of the bag and "threw it" around the opening... as if I wouldn't go up there and inspect afterwards!) or not done at all (rotted floor joist was supposed to be removed, they tried to tell me that the $2000 allotted to that task was to replace a 2 foot board under the door!!). I had to complain to the owner to remedy the situation. He refunded the vast majority of my money. That was about the only good part of the transaction. He said he had problems with the maintenance man in the past. So why not fire him? Will never do business with them again. They take advantage of the fact that MOST homeowners do not go through the house with the inspector (inspector told me I was the first to ever go under the house with him in all his years doing it) and thus do not know what is wrong. It's been 3.5 years today and this company still invokes feelings of anger and wrath inside of me. And I'm not an angry person. Look at my other ratings... most of them are 4 or 5 stars! I don't even know where to begin as there is so much I want to say about CRI. My husband and I purchased our first home in 2008, and in 2011 needed to move. We contacted a few companies to discuss property management. When it came time to meet with a representative of CRI, the owner showed up to the appointment they had set for me. Mr. Nielsen sat down and explained all the ins and outs of what their company would provide, by way of property management, and they delivered. For a decade they delivered. Always available and so attentive to all our needs. From getting it rented out, to clean-ups for new tenants, inspections, and repairs as the years went on, we were always taken care of. This year came time for us to sell and Kendal Semanderes assisted me, not only with the updating my property required, but also with the listing and sale of our property. She went above and beyond, and she and her crew did such a wonderful job that we received an above-list offer, just 2.5 days after list. During the final walk-through we had a surprise repair needed and she got it done by closing hour. I really have no words to express how grateful I am that of all the companies to choose from, I was blessed enough to go with CRI. If anyone needs a property management company or a realtor, I cannot recommend CRI, Mr. Nielsen, or Kendal enough. Thank you so much for making this process so easy for us while being out of state. He texted my husband at 10 PM and so my husband calls him to talk about the house since it was too long to text. the realtor started cussing him out and calling him vulgar names including "bitch" We ended up reporting it and the only thing they had to say to us was "he didnt appreciate the late phone call." Moved out the home replaced all the light bulbs in the house and they charged me for replacing them. I have a pet in the house well over a year and per the agreement I did have a Professional come in and spray and they charged my again for Their people to come spray again. When I moved in the house was dirty and the porch was rotten away. I cleaned everything from top to bottom and when I moved out I have once again professionals come in a clean the place and I got charged again. If I could award negative stars, they would have them. Bottom line, if you need someone to manage your property and you care at all about your investment? Use ANYONE ELSE. Do not use this incompetent group of individuals. AWFUL company. I have had them "managing" my property for 3 years and it has been nothing but mistake after mistake. 1. They moved a tenant into my house without notifying me and allowed me to pay utilities for that tenant for over a week. Had I not had a friend stop by to check on my property, I might have never found out they moved someone in. 2. They allowed the tenants to damage BRAND NEW FLOORING and not only didn't charge the tenant, but didn't report the damage to me until MONTHS after they moved out. 3. Their preferred provider for maintenance consistently makes up issues that aren't there, fails to notice problems that are, and quotes ridiculously unacceptable rates. $100 to replace a $5 plastic blind. $800 to put a door on a crawl space (when simply lifting the board back into place and swiveling the nails back into place would suffice) all while leaving the door OFF for weeks! 4. Failure to comply with their own agreement terms: charging me for $300 cleanings and other nonsense maintenance WITHOUT my approval. 5. Failure to communicate in general. No updates, no communications whatsoever... even after hurricanes. They don't bother to check for damage at all, and it was never reported. I had a friend do a drive by/walk around to get me details they wouldn't provide. 6. They take FOREVER to respond. I got a notification about an issue at the house and asked for the tenant's contact number so I could send a reputable company out to determine the issue. They didn't respond until 10am the following day, had lied to the tenant, and subsequently the tenant left town so I had no one to meet the technician. I have multiple time asked for qualifications of costs charged to me and they either don't provide them at all or take weeks to give any information. 7. They took it upon themselves to rekey ALL my locks WITHOUT my permission and charged me for it. 8. When tenants move out I always ask to be present for the walk-through, and they NEVER notify me with more than a few hours' notice... meaning I cannot be there because I can't travel in time. 9. In three years, they never once discussed or provided me the option to change the rental amount to keep up with inflation. There are so many more examples I could give. Just stay away. I was very happy with the services I received for FOUR years. I stayed in the same house for the four years and had a good relationship with the office staff. My A/C went out on the 4th of July and they sent the AC guy out who bought me some portable A/C units which he did not have to do. I had to wait for the landlord who was in California to make a decision on the repair so it was uncomfortable for a few weeks. They did a yearly inspection which I liked because you knew if you needed to do something right there and then. When I moved out I got my deposit back because I kept the place super clean. I also had a dog this landlord let me have my dog there. CRI do not own these properties these properties are managed so they can only do what the landlord is willing to do so getting mad at the the office staff doesn't help anyone. read more

If I could rate this place lower than a 1, I would. My husband and I have never been disrespected so often with this management. There we're multiple times we were lied to about information we needed to ask them dozens of times since they did not respond. The workers answering the phones were nasty to each of us and were in a hurry to hang up with us still trying to ask questions. We also attempted to contact them about complaints about our neighbors that were trashing our yard and parking in our spots and they told us they could not do anything about it. I am absolutely disgusted with this place of business and I will never in my life recommend them to any person looking for housing. They are ridiculous. They need to actually do their jobs and assist their customers rather than complain about "it being too early for them to work". It is your job to help. Do it. When I had to renew my lease I had to have an inspection done so that I could sign for another year. The guy who was supposed to do the inspection didn't even show up on the day that I scheduled it for, which wasted a few hours of my time for no reason and I had to change my plans to reschedule it. I finally moved out and have called multiple times to ask when I'll receive my security deposit back. Every time I call I'm told I'll get it back the following week. It's been about three weeks of this and they're still saying the same thing, and I still haven't received it. The most dishonest business I've dealt with. read more

Never, ever rent from CRI properties!! They are a horrible excuse for a management company who is known for their excuses as to why they can't do things and why everything is the renters fault. When we first moved into our old house, it was filthy. I took pictures of every dirty spot in the home then preceded to clean the house myself. The water from the kitchen floor was literally black after cleaning only half the floor, yet the house was professionally cleaned before we moved in supposedly. After I made the house livable for my family, I went into the office with the pictures and explained that I wanted to be reimbursed for the cleaning supplies. They gave me attitude about it until I produced the pictures, then suddenly they were singing a different tune. I also fought that the carpet needed to be replaced but CRI stated the owner would not replace it and it had already been professionally cleaned. When I demanded to see proof it had been cleaned, citing the legal right to ensure this, they suddenly offered to have the carpet re-cleaned and treated for pet odors. At that point, I should have run far away but we were stuck for at least a year. The following summer, the A/C kept going out. I had to call the maintenance people 5 times but every time they had a new excuse as to why the A/C unit stopped working. They even tried to bill me stating that I hadn't changed my filter which is why the unit wasn't working. I fought that bill and at that point, finally got a family friend lawyer involved in my battle with CRI. When it came time to move out, we were informed that the homeowner was planning on selling the home so we were not required to do any of the usual cleaning. We had to have the carpets professionally cleaned and a general cleaning of the house overall. I hired a professional cleaner for both because I have two small children and didn't want to deal with it. I confirmed three times with three different employees that we didn't need to do any repairs when we moved out because the owner was planning on selling the house and had a crew to do updates and repairs. My husband came for the move-out inspection which consisted of a maintenance man coming to get the keys and not even looking at the house. Fast forward 30 days, I get a thick envelope in the mail from CRI telling me I owed them $1800 dollars on top of them keeping our $1000 deposit. I went ballistic and called them immediately. They tried to pin ever single hole in the wall on us, including the one the previous tenants filled with toothpaste (which I had pictures of) as well as the carpet being replaced, which the owner decided to do to sell the house. I contacted my lawyer friend again and he helped us out. Between my documents, my photos and the information given to us when we decided to move out, they ended up owing us our deposit back. CRI tried to screw us out of money but we won in the long run. If you don't want a headache and want to be taken care of, never ever rent from CRI!!!! read more

Upon arriving to Jacksonville NC, I believed in the honesty, integrity and the extraordinary level of expertise that CRI Present to the city of Jacksonville to have. I purchased my property on 110 Woodlake Court as an investment property and CRI has been managing it since 2004. My first concern is the professionalism executed by CRI as being advocates for me as the owner of the property. When we received the key to our property the house was absolutely out of regulation as far as being move-in ready for another entity to occupy it. Note: Exhibit A: There was an overwhelming amount of fleas dwelling within the property that overtook us when we arrived. We had to have the exterminator spray 2 times due to the amount of fleas here. (Statement available upon request) Exhibit B: There were still items in the refrigerator Exhibit C: A big red stain in the carpet in the middle of the living room floor. This (we all can agree upon) is not effective management of our property and our dues that is paid diligently to CRI every month for the last seven years, and most importantly this is not effective management for the precious military personnel whom PCS to Jacksonville NC looking to occupy a decent home for the next three years and moving in with a big RED stain in the middle of the living area is absolutely absorb! Kay, (the maintenance manager) assured me that the spot has been there since 2008. Therefore CRI has been moving tenants in and out of the property with the stain in the living area. Case and point. (Pictures, available upon request.) Exhibit D: The backyard was full of weight bench equipment, grills (2), fuel cans, and several other miscellaneous items on the move in day. (Pictures upon request) Exhibit E: Broken Fence, which was not charged to the tenant. Exhibit F: Wholes throughout the back yard and the side of the house. Exhibit G: Upstairs hallway floor had many red spots the sizes of a fifty-cent piece. Exhibit H: We paid for our house to be painted back in 06/07 and according to professional painters this house still had the paint from when it was first built. The negligence of CRI management has cost my family thousands of dollars and a hardship due to the reconstruction of our lives. Before my husband left Mr. Nielson told my husband he would reimburse us for the hardships. When I spoke to Mr. Nielson two weeks later in person he stated, "I am a retired Colonel and if you want your husband to be successful in his career..." I am writing this review because I do not want my experience to be in vain. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau, the Real Estate Commission, and posting reviews on every website. CRI in my experience was an completely dishonest business. I used their services to rent for the first time and realized in the long run (and at a loss of over $1000 later, that I should have done it on my own from the start). CRI is run by a retired Marine officer and SNCO (who does his maintenance "Maintenance Medic"), they make their money taking advantage of Active Duty Marines/Sailors. As prior active duty myself, I am disgusted at crooks that make a living on leeching from those who continue to serve. What did they do right: -Found a tenant in a timely manner What did they do wrong: -I foolishly agreed that they could repair things under $75 without contacting me (I admit this was a mistake, I trusted them, and I should not have). Not surprisingly, they immediately found things to repair that all came in just under $75. My tenant contacted me and asked if I had initiated the repairs, because they had not. I hadn't either, CRI took it upon themselves to find things "wrong" with my home, and fix them as they saw fit. -Tightened a doorknob and charged me (neither myself or the tenant asked for this) -My tenant reported the carpet beginning to come loose where the kitchen tile met living room carpet. So CRI took it upon themselves to CUT a 4'x3' square out of my living room carpet, and replace with a square from my closet. Let me repeat that, because it takes a while to sink in.. CRI without asking me, CUT a giant square of my living room carpet (ruining the room) and replaced it with another square they CUT from a closet. Then didn't even bother to glue either back down, just left them. Can we say ghetto? My house is no dumpy rental property, it is a remodeled home. Cutting my carpet started a giant battle with them, in which they were so rude, I fired them, and had to threaten to sue in order to get even $250 to put towards re-carpeting my entire house, because they ruined the living room that flowed into the rest of the house. It's one thing to make mistakes, I make them, and CRI makes them, no one is perfect. The difference is, I own my mistakes and make them right. CRI runs from their mistakes, and looks for more young couples to take advantage of. Please do not be their next victim. I've been happily managing my property on my own ever since. read more

Shouldn't get any stars! This company is, by far, the WORST place I've ever rented from! I've rented from AMCC, Military Relocator, Century 21, Advantage Gold, even a private home owner and NEVER been so upset, as I am now! They are scam artists! I just moved and they are wanting to keep my $$ from me, for bogus and normal issues! I was out and inspection done Jan 9. Got a CALL, from a Brook, about a week or so ago with issues that we're being charged for! STILL today, haven't received a copy of my move out inspection, itemized charges OR any of my deposit!! AND... They have already been moving the new family into that address!!!! I have mutual friends with the family and Kay confirmed that new tenants already moving in! I lived at 108 Fountain for 2 years, with my kids and dogs (they know). Always talked to Kay when I called or went in, so I didn't have to repeat anything... During the time, I took good care of Mr.Tann house. Was only late once on rent; due to changing accounts (issue resolved). I called or emailed on multiple occasions, letting them know issues I had while there.... Like the deck in the back and the whole front porch were DRY ROTTED! So bad, that you put your finger in the wood and it just rains on you! Now just cause I have outside dogs, I'm being charged... Saying they chewed it... No they didn't, it's dry rotted!! When Florence came, it blow off the siding and unveiled how dry rotted and molded it is! I was told the owner will fix it when I move out. We told them, during and on our move IN inspection, that we know at 1 point there was a flood in there. You see damage around the cabinets and the baseboards. We lived for a year with no kitchen floor!! Trying to charge me! I have Satellite TV and saw a dish already there... I got permission to have mine and was told it had to go when I move... I got the earliest appointment, to have it moved (Jan 15) from there to my new address! I told Kay that when she asked, on the 13th. She said ok I won't be charged for it.... I would not recommend this place to anyone! It's a hassle to get a work order done, after putting one in. They only contact you through email, so if you aren't the type to check your email on a daily. You won't read their reply until a week or two later. When I moved in back in February, I had told a few ladies (when I dropped off the inspection form) that there was serious water damage in one of the spare rooms. One lady claimed that it was condensation from the vent (because that's where it was located) but I scratched my head because it is a HUGE stain. And she brushed it off like it wasn't anything serious. Didn't say she was going to send someone to look at it or anything. August comes around and it's been raining a lot lately, since July. And I had noticed a few water stains in the master bedroom ceiling. I checked the one in the spare room (we use for storage) and there was black mold. I immediately put in a work order around 10 a.m. I had thought I had attached 4 photos (February and present), but only 1 had attached. I had left a detail description on each photo. And I didn't hear back until around 1 p.m. surprisingly they had sent a text to my husband. (Maybe because it was a serious situation), the responder claimed that it was a roof leak. Ok? good. I had asked how soon can they send someone to look at it. Since I'm living in a house with the visible presence of mold. 1: my husband has serious allergies, and 2: I'm 8 months pregnant. She obviously didn't read my detailed work order that well, because she requested for me to take a picture and send it to her. So again, I sent her all four photos (of February and present) to her personal email, because the text messaging system wasn't excepting the photos. Later that day around 4pm she tells me that she can't get anyone over here until that following Monday at 9am. wonderful... it's going to rain all weekend and I'm going to continue breathing in mold pollen. To shorten the solution. The maintenance techs came and temporarily patched the leaks (the nails were the cause) and claimed that the roof will have to be replaced due to improper installment and he will put in a request to get an estimate done. Great! Two weeks later, since the maintenance techs did the temporary patch work. Still waiting for a qualified Roofer to come get an estimate. The lady I spoke with didn't have any notes on my property about the maintenance tech showing up nor any updates about an estimate or owner approval. She had to talk with the maintenance advisor said in her exact words that the roofers "are notoriously slow, for taking their time on getting things done" AND that they are still awaiting an approval from the Property Owner, "because roofs are expensive." I told her that I would like, for this to be done before September because I am due to have my baby. "I understand and I will do my best" When I last spoke with this same lady, she claimed that the request for an estimate was put in and that the owner was notified. This was three days after they had temporarily patched the roof. I told her then just like I told her again now. I am due to have my baby in September, I would really appreciate it if this gets done before the 1st of September. The first time I told her this, SHE LAUGHED AT ME!! Claimed that "noise will do that baby justice" I again responded that I would not like it if I have people banging on my roof all day while I have a newborn in my house. She stated "I understand, but if we have to, we can wait a few weeks after the child is born to get it done" She clearly doesn't understand! I also have two dogs that bark at everything, my child and I won't be getting any rest that day or week that they are here. Because you know "the roofers are notoriously slow on doing their job" To add to this review. Why didn't they notify the owner back in February about the water damage?? Now that it's serious they are trying to fork money from him. And I'm stuck living in a house with a bad roof that will have future leaks until it's replaced!!! Things were missing when I moved in, there were suppose to be a few items left behind from the owner. I immediately called and notified them that they were missing, they stated "the owner must have taken them". In honesty I think the cleaning crew snagged them up. There was dirt on the hard floors, and the carpet in the bedrooms "looked" like they were clean, there are multiple holes in the walls in each room of the house from nails and screws, there is also a silver dollar size hole in the wall in the living room, I've put in a request To get it filled in.... nothing. I also put in a request for the garage door motor to be looked at. The maintenance tech even looked at it twice and said that he will put in a request for an electrician to look at it. Do not use this company. They never come through on your maintenance request. I have set in 16 different request since move in. Most issues began a week after move in. We had to pay out of pocket to fix 90% of the issues. Luckily my neighbors were good friends with the prior tenant. They sent me everything they were charged for after move out. The old tenants were slammed with damage that was caused by the hurricane. They came out and assess the damage for them and home owner collected the insurance but Cri never fulfilled the request. On move out, they charged them over $3000 in damages. When I moved out, they tried to do the same and charge me for the damages they already received money for from the last tenant. Make sure you keep a copy of your move in check in list. They magically lose that and claim you never turned one in. It's been a year now and luckily the last tenant and I got a lawyer. They were declared unlawful and criminal as the judge stated. The home owner was also there showing the money he sent cri from his insurance to pay for the damages after the hurricane. read more

So far this has been a terrible experience. Started when we went to pick up the keys and, despite speaking to them multiple time before arriving, they thought we were moving in four days later and had the audacity to ask if we could store everything in the garage until they were done painting. The walls have been patched by the last tenant, then painted with a color that does not match the rest of the wall. They are not agreeing to paint due to it being a 'cosmetic' issue. This is not the impression we were given when signing the lease and discussing these issues after the walkthrough. It looks incredibly trashy and even the painter said the whole place needs a new paint job, has noted it during every walkthrough and he has given them estimates but they refuse. The microwave is missing everything. The filters underneath the vent above is broken off and laid on the stove. The carpet had crumbs and was literally turning our feet black, despite it stating it would be professionally cleaned upon moving in. Many safety issues that were addressed before our move in date that still aren't taken care of. Our deck had dangerous boards sticking up, rusty nails poking out, and a hole about one foot in width. There is a broken outlet to the non working alarm system, as in one prong is stuck in the outlet, the other stuck in the device, leaving it hanging from the wall. So many nail holes in the walls from the previous tenant, that according to our lease, if they aren't repaired upon moving out you'd be charged for. According to this I'm left to assume they charged the previous tenant, but did not repair, leaving us to question the integrity of the company. Also, leaving us to wonder what we will be charged for upon moving out. It has been nothing but frustrating dealing with this company. Unprofessional to say the very least. It's an absolute nightmare. I would never recommend them and wish I would have done more research before signing with them. Update: October 2018, 4 months after move in. The deck still isn't fixed despite weekly phone calls asking about it. My daughter has injured herself twice directly due to the condition of the deck. I seem to be unable to get one specific person at the office leaving me to explain the situations each time I call. The people also are inconsistent with the responses, as some of the things I have called about the previous week, aren't always listed in their records, then the office claiming they will reach out to the homeowners (although I was told homeowners were contacted) further putting off the reasonably requested repairs. Things I have placed and requested review on the move in inspection 4 MONTHS AGO, still are not taken care of or addressed. read more

CRI owns their own maintenance company (maintenance medic) which one would THINK would help drive down the cost of repairs. WRONG!!!!! They charge a ridiculous amount to do simple things (changing smoke detectors, replacing an outdoor outlet cover). I truly feel like they nickel and dime me every chance they get. read more

Thus far renting with CRI properties we've seen nothing but good people always friendly, and happy to help us when we call with questions. We had a leaky washer and the repair guy came out 3 times within a few days to e sure it was fixed. read more

Do not rent through them if you want your deposit back. We did everything on their list for clean out and got less than half of what we paid back. They over charge drastically. read more

They do not maintain the properties, there big excuse is I have to contact the landlord. Make apps. And they do not keep them. Basically, DO NOT RENT OR BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. All they give is lip service. Poor business practices. Do your homework and read the other reviews. read more

I would avoid renting from CRI. People at the office are somewhat rude and slow to take care of issues. The place I rented was in poor shape moving in, and now they are trying to charge me for damages that weren't of my doing. Worst property management company I've ever dealt with. read more

This company will treat you like all you are is a number that can be dealt with slowly as possible until your lease is up when they expend every effort possible to bleed you dry for money. Im unable to find find how to write a review for the company rather than this realtor specifically. So this will have to do. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! We were informed (as is legally required of them) that cutting our lease short was not a problem since we had received orders and were about to be deployed. A week after inspection of the house and turning in the keys they sent a "late rent notice" to that address. Which we were obviously gone from. No phone calls...nothing. Luckily a friend checked our mail and let us know. End result was them fighting us for hours for another month of rent. Legally. They ARE required to release you from your lease if you have deployment orders etc. they refused to acknowledge this until threatened with legal council DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR TRICKS. I also have a video of the entire inspection process and the inspector stating that all that was needed was for us to mow our lawn. But when we received our (heavily deducted) deposit back it listed several more things that they did which were obviously falsified to take as much of our deposit as possible. Please.
