When I stopped in on this quiet weekday morning, not a single other EV was charging, so the whole place felt almost oversized for the moment. The location is nicely covered from the elements, which is a welcome touch, but there is not much to occupy your time while you wait. A Circle K sits about 100 yards away if you need a restroom or a quick snack, and a few other options are scattered a little farther out if you feel like stretching your legs. There is also a movie theater nearby, though I am not sure you could comfortably leave your EV here for two hours while you watch a film, even if the idea is tempting on a long day of driving. The lot is about 2 miles from I-77 at Carowinds Blvd. It is in the middle of the parking lot so there is no shade.
