It didn't seem a major repair to me but as I called different places, including in other states where I was at the time, they were asking hundreds of dollars! One quote seemed higher than the actual worth of the ring I found this gem of a place, and they provided a rate that was less than 1/2 of some I had received. For under $100, they replaced the stone & shined this thing up. No need to heat it or do other ridiculous things that some other jewelers had suggested, likely just to scam me.
