Very unprofessional and rude. 1 guy showed up to install our entire main level hardwood floors. Questioned our floor trusses like he didn't want to work. After 2 months of going back and forth with them and Home Depot we returned the flooring. Here's the kicker, just got a call from them asking how pleased we were, I let them have it and the lady hung up on me. Stay classy. read more

Crew2 was contracted through Home Depot to install carpeting in our finished basement, a bedroom and our stairs. The installers were polite and friendly. They were very conscious of our wants and checked with us throughout the process when it came to options - how the carpet was laid on the stairs, where the seams were placed, what we wanted for thresholds, etc. We were given the opportunity to review the install before they left and received a follow-up phone call within the week concerning our experience. We would definitely use Crew2 again! read more

Contracted through Home Depot to do a Exterior door, on Dec. 11th, paid $30.00 for the measure. They just can't seem to find time to come measure the door. got feed up today and asked for a refund and going with Lowes, Sorry Home Depot, you need to find a better place to partner with. read more

The two men that came out to install carpeting through Home Depot were absolutely terrific! Not only did they show up a little bit early, they finished in under 2 hour and even cleaned up!! They did a great job and I will recommend them to everyone! Very Happy! read more

Scheduling the installation of my relatively-small carpeting project was a nightmare. Install your project through Crew2 at your own risk. I believe, that without persistence on my part, the carpeting would still not be installed, nearly 6 weeks later. I called the scheduling people no less than eight times before I had an actual date and time for installation. Crew2, however, did not call me once to inform me of issues regarding the scheduling of an installer. One phone call prior to 3:00 pm on Day 3 of trying to find out what was going on, from anyone at Crew2 informing me of the difficulties in scheduling an installer, would have been all that was needed to have a happy customer. I was reasonably patient and pleasant all along, but my patience was sorely tested, and I am now a very unhappy customer. After reading online reviews of Crew2 and the company's lack of communication with customers, I understand why, according to Google Review Summary, Crew2 has more 1-star reviews than 2- to 5-star reviews combined. The installers, who are independent contractors with Crew2, did a fine job. My complaint is not on the installer, or the job they did. read more

Crew 2 did a great job in replacing carpets!! Excellent work!! Very pleased!! Fast service! Highly recommend! Reasonably priced!

By coincidence, I had 2 Crew2 crews in my house last week to install a new water heater in the basement and to install carpet in two rooms upstairs. Both crews were punctual, professional, and courteous. Both did a great job, answered all my questions to my satisfaction, and finished on time. I'm very pleased with the results of both projects. read more

I guess I have to pick a star I hate this company. We saved up a lot of money to have hardwood floor installed in our kitchen. These guys did a terrible job. The installer did not put any leveler/flattener down as instructed by the measurer. Our floor had spots were the flooring sank by 1/4". The first time he came back to look at it, he told us our refrigerator was too heavy. Eventually, we got a supervisor to come out and look at it. He noticed the problem right away. They scheduled a repair 5 weeks later. On the day of the repair, the guy never showed up. We got a bunch of excuses. We got the repair scheduled for the following week. The guy never showed up. I can't believe this service. When the guy finally showed up, he fixed the worst spot never looked at any of the other spots needing repair. I will NEVER use this company for anything EVER again. read more

I purchased a gas water heater from Home Depot. The Crew2 installer called me to set up a time for next day delivery and installation. He arrived the next day within the 1 hour window of time he committed to. The installer was polite, professional and competent, and the overall process was painless. I had hot water again within 24 hours of my initial call. read more

Crew 2 Minneapolis. This has been a disastrous experience thus far and not yet over. This is my first time writing a review of any kind so that should tell you something. If I could do negative stars I would. The issue is not with their installers, who IMO have done quality work. The issue is with whoever works in the office part of this crappy business. There is zero customer service, zero respect for your time, zero professionalism and zero effort to see things thru to their conclusions. As has been mentioned, they will not call you back. You have to track them down. Their communication is non-existent. An installer was scheduled one day but did not show. Crew 2 never informed me until I called them to find out wth the guy was. Their communication with Home Depot is also a joke so I guess the blame ultimately falls to HD for outsourcing such garbage service. Stay away is all I can say. read more

Horrible experience with this company. Finally came for my install, and the first thing the installer said to me was "ugh you have a lot of stairs". He then looked around my house, never asked about any of my product, left the house for 30+ minutes. Upon return, he knocked on my door and said "sorry I can't install your carpet." He wouldn't give me any reason except that I have a crib in one room. I was told the day before on the phone with the company, the crib was fine and did not have to be disassembled. My carpet was never installed that day, and after hours on the phone between this company and Home Depot, I still wasn't offered a new install date until 3 days later, after being promised a phone call from multiple people. I received a "follow up" survey call to check on my satisfaction of my install the next day after my install was supposed to be completed. The company didn't even know my carpet wasn't installed! Nothing was ever done for the trouble. I ended up having to move all my furniture despite it being included in the cost. I finally sent a complaint email about the situation and then someone called to offer me a $50 Home Depot gift card. It has now been almost a month and I still have not received the gift card. I called again this morning and no one was aware of my situation. I was told today (reluctantly) they could "probably get me a gift card" and to look in my email in the next week. We will see. So frustrating and absolutely horrible follow through on anything! read more

I'm writing this in hopes that "Ben F" or someone else in Crew2's ownership or management will read it and respond. At the beginning of February, we arranged through Home Depot for Crew2 to do a simple bathroom flooring install. About 48 square feet. We picked out the flooring and knew it was in stock. We said we would do the prep work on the walls and the vanity, and remove the toilet. Just needed Crew2 to show up, confirm the specs, schedule someone to do the job, and return any unused (and unopened) material they provided. To date: * More than two months from the start of the experience -- installed, but still not finished. * More than a dozen phone calls throughout, which has put me in touch with 15 different (and mostly indifferent -- at best) Crew2 people. With two exceptions (thanks Nadia and Terry!), they don't seem to care. They certainly don't seem to care about returning calls, or keeping deadlines, or getting details straight. * With the exception of the installer -- a non-Crew2 sub (who was outstanding!!!) -- almost every picky little detail has been misplayed or mismanaged. Wrong job specs. Wrong pricing. Wrong info on us (including our names, our phone number, and our email address). Wrong delivery time. "Yes they need a permit/lead inspection/no they don't" Keystone Cops episodes. * Install finally done after nearly six weeks of waiting, and on a Sunday morning at 10 a.m. (We accepted the odd time because at the time it was offered, there was no Plan B: If we wanted the job done in March, that was the only option they would offer.) *Nearly two weeks (and counting) since the installation waiting for someone to call us to set up a time to come pick up the carton of unused/unopened flooring still sitting in our dining room. We can't return it -- and get the balance credited back to us -- because we didn't buy it. If I hadn't written on the contract that the installation must be "completed in March 2014" (thank goodness I specified the year), who knows how much longer this farce might have to run. Why did I put up with this for so long? Because we had to pay for the entire job upfront. Otherwise, I would have fired these folks early on. The Crew2 website talks about providing a "Perfect 10" experience and exceeding expectations. Uh-huh. Right. You betcha. The one star I gave them above is at least half too many. And Ben, if you're reading this, I really would like that carton of flooring out of my dining room someday ... read more

I had a carpet install booked for two weeks out on a rental. When I arrived at the property, I called Crew2 to get a more definitive time for arrival. I had a window of 10am- 1pm. I was told this person tends to be later rather than sooner. My first though was - this isn't good. I had driven 30 minutes to this home, and it was pouring rain out. I was bored out of my mind. I was hoping to pull weeds outside while waiting. Soon it was 11:30 and I got a call from Crew2. thinking Oh good the carpet installer is on his way. Well no, not so fast. I was told the installer was no longer available and wasn't going to make it today and they had no one else, however they could squeeze me in at 8:am the following day. So needless to say, I was NOT a happy camper. Had this installer not know that he wasn't going to make it in the morning and could have not have the decency to call. Or was the rain getting to him? Maybe he had an all-night binger and decided it wasn't worth the trip. I don't know... but it did not sit well for me. I know its hard to find good help these days, but please. For that reason, I will lot used Crew2 to do any work on any of my properties. Half the job is showing up, and this guy couldn't even do that. The person that did show up the following morning, did a nice job. read more

Unbelievable. I wrote my initial review about 2 months ago after our carpet installation was only partially completed due to poorly communicated instructions and lack of sufficient material to do the job that was requested. As a result, our carpet was delayed a month and a half (mid June instead of early April). I was contacted via email by someone at Crew2, "assuring" me they wanted to make things right and that someone would be in touch with me. No one contacted me after that. When the time came to have them finish the job (a month and a half later), they called the day before the install date, and said they didn't have our carpet. Really? You don't have it a month and a half later??? We contacted the home depot because when one of these "managers" finally did contact me, I was fed some BS about a price change or something, as if that's supposed to be an excuse for why they didn't have my carpet. Upon contacting the Home Depot, they told me that Crew2 marked our job as "complete". Yeah, you're not getting off that easily... So now, our carpet will finally (hopefully) be finished August 15th. 4 MONTHS after the initial incomplete installation. This is BY FAR the absolute worst "professional" service I have ever received. I have told many of my friends who are looking to buy a house or have recently bought a house to steer far away from Crew2 if they're going to get new carpet. I'm appalled at how poorly this process has gone. read more

I should have done my homework before having Crew2 install my kitchen. I used Home Depot to order new cabinets and countertops for my kitchen remodel. From start to finish, this business is a nightmare to work with. They lack customer service and communication skills. The lady who came and measured was very snarky. The initial project manager did a terrible job both with communication and scheduling. The last project manager was nice but when I called about an issue, left me hanging for 5 days before I called and talked to his director. She was rude and told me the issue was all my fault. They admitted they knew there was a problem but that they didn't have to tell us, we had to figure it out on our own. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will be disappointed. As a teacher, I WILL be using this example in my classroom of what NOT to do in business. read more

Use these guys at your own peril. If you're using them through Home Depot, then you at least have Home Depot to back up their work. The poor job that many people post is true. You should know what a quality work should look like and point out their mistakes as you see them. They will absolutely accept a job poorly done. I've had one of their district managers come out who argued with me and insisted that they did good work. It took about 2 min after I showed them what was done that the whole project had to be redone. It's just not worth the aggravation. Go elsewhere. read more

Crew2 is the worst company EVER! I have been dealing with this nightmare of a company for 5 months! Now, today after waiting since August for them to fix our door they installed, they did not show during our 8 to 9am arrival time and instead are coming between 3 and 5pm. They did not have enough respect to call us and tell us. It is a holiday week so now we have to have someone stay back and wait when we have a family gathering planned. To make a long story short, we had a nightmare of an experience trying to get our installation date set for our new floors. Several times, we were told someone from Crew2 would call us to set an installation date, and no one ever did. We basically had to chase them down. We were told that the earliest date they could do is a MONTH out, and the floors have been sitting in our house for almost a week. I've heard stories about how awful this company was, but now I experienced it for myself. I'm telling everyone I know not to go through Crew2. read more

Crew 2 installed my carpet last week that we purchased through Home Depot and it was the WORST experience I've ever had to deal with! There customer service is awful, the installers rush through the work, are sloppy and lie to get out of having to fix an issue they caused. We will never use Crew 2 or Home Depot again. read more

I honestly have no idea how this place is in business. They have been horrific to deal with from start to finish; unfortunately, they're the only subcontractors our Home Depot works with. We have learned our lesson. They damaged the original flooring on our farmhouse staircase while installing a runner, and left many staples and carpet fragments in the stairs after the crew departed. Despite having ordered and measured for a runner (through Home Depot), the crew initially began installing wall-to-wall coverage, blaming my husband for the mishap and telling him he should have provided clearer direction upon their arrival. Rather than providing the promised L-shaped cut on our landing (to match the runners on either side of it), they covered the entire space. It looks unbelievably cheap. To make matters worse, the men working at our home were reluctant to correct the mistake - only doing so when we informed them we would be calling Home Depot to discuss. It's been a full month and the promised repairs still have not been made. Do not expect a speedy or diligent response from this company; they unfortunately already have our money and have shown little initiative in making things right. A refund or discount do not seem possible. Instead, we're left with visible damage and a month-long project that should have taken a day. read more

Do I really need to explain how bad these guys are? Just read all the reviews. It's the same story. They are basically a middle man for Home Depot. I'm guessing their goal is to literally find the worst possible contractors on the planet to do the work. Why HD uses them is beyond me. This past year I've started to wonder if they just walk down the street and find random people with absolutely zero experience to hire. That is basically the level of work I've got through them. Why would I want the job to be done at a lesser quality than I could do? That's why I pay someone else to do the labor. Well... now we know, if you want a crap job done... Hire Crew2. If you want to blow your hard earned money... Hire Crew2 and then after the job is done hire your own contractor to completely redo the job. That's what I did! My grandpa said "there's a sucker born every minute." Yes grandpa... looks like I'm one of them for hiring Crew2. read more

We were needing our floors redone and this was through home depot and ill never do business with these lying crooks again. They came in and asked if we wanted the smaller quarter round in our hallway by the bedroom, our only issue was the door going down the stairs and they said they'd take care of it and call if they had any questions which they were more than happy to do when it came to leveling out our floor but decided not to call to confirm we want the smaller edging around our brand new doors. Now not only do we have four gaps and tripping hazards at our main entry doors, we have cold air seeping in, and after two entire months of waiting for phone calls and calling with no answers, they finally get back to us telling us they cleared it and we were OK with it which we weren't and now won't fix it. They also didn't nail in some of the trim and its now sticking out and they haven't said anything about fixing that either. Horribly unprofessional, lazy unresponsive management, and now lying. We decided to use Home Depot to design/build a wet bar for our basement. The design process was smooth and they advised us they use Crew2 for the install. Our estimator from Crew2 was very timely/responsive, so I thought we were off to a good start. However, once we paid and the cabinets were made, things took a different turn. Our cabinets arrived several weeks ago, and then the process began of trying to schedule our install. You'd think this would be fairly straight forward to provide install dates, however, many weeks later, and many emails later to our "scheduler" - I've yet to hear anything back other than "I still haven't received dates from my installers for your project. I've sent out requests again and hope to have some responses when I get into the office tomorrow. I'll call as soon as I have dates to offer." That was a couple weeks back and yet still no communication from the scheduler despite my repeated efforts to reach out for updates. It's mind boggling to me that someone whose job it is to schedule a project can't even figure out what possible dates are available after several weeks of reaching out to their installers. I've sent an email in hopes of getting a new scheduler assigned to our project, but I'm not very hopeful in hearing back from them either. For now, I guess I'll just keep sitting on all the boxes of cabinets in my garage and delaying the whole project e.g. countertop, backsplash, plubming, electrical, etc in hopes of getting an install date or some type of response at some point. If I were to do it again, I'd gladly use Home Depot for the design services, but if Crew2 is the installer that they've partnered with in your store/region, then I'd consider exploring options to take the designs from Home Depot to another contractor. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. My parents had some flooring done by them recently and their experience with the office staff was ridiculous. There was extra material that was needed to complete the job, but the office staff put up fight with the installer to get the material, saying it wasn't needed. I am sorry, but I will trust the installer over the OFFICE STAFF. What the installer was able to do before he was denied materials to complete the job was amazing. My parents asked for his personal business card because they will be contacting him directly from now on. DO NOT USE CREW2 INC! They are rude and from what I hear stiff their installers on money. If you want a job well done, I would search else where. read more

Very disappointed in our experience getting carpet through Home Depot/Crew2. When our carpet was installed, the installers did a very poor job. The carpet in our basement (which was a square pattern) was installed completely crooked, not even close to square on a single wall in the room. They also didn't install the carpet across the threshold going into our laundry room door, leaving a 2+ inch gap of the cement floor showing right when you come down the stairs. After complaining to Home Depot, I spent over a month, endless phone calls, and multiple unpaid days off work trying to get this fixed. On top of that, after an inspector came and reviewed the carpet to put in a claim, we found out that Crew2 was trying to write off the carpet due to a "carpet mill defect", not the poor installation that happened, which ended up adding additional time in this process. When our re-install was finally scheduled, they cancelled the morning of. After calling and telling them my complaints about this whole mess of a process, my wasted time, and money, I was offered $100 to fix paint from the scratches during install. Don't waste your time & sanity getting carpet through Crew2. No one is there to lead the project & the customer service staff is horrible as they give all excuses & no solutions. read more

From the time they walked through the door I knew that the crew that came to install my carpet was going to do a great job. They arrived on time, and they were careful in my home. I was certain to make sure their work area was clear and clean. Immediately after starting, Jose called me up to ask me some preference questions about my installation. He gave me some suggestions for how I could adjust my edge to ensure he could make a nice clean transition at the top of my stairwell, and gave me a few minutes to make the change before installing. The result was a phenomenal carpet installation that I could not find a single thing to complain about. The installation tools left the normal marks on the baseboard, but I fully expected this, and had a small roller ready to do the touch up. They were extremely careful with my walls, and I found no damage to my home. They cleaned everything up, I signed some papers, and they were on their way. I was initially very concerned about the mish-mash of contractors I was warned Big Box stores tend to use, but I could not be happier with my installation experience. read more

If you like horrible communication, rude customer service reps, and lazy workers this is the company for you! We recently hired Crew2 to install floors in our entire house (carpet, vinyl, linoleum) and the experience was truly awful 1) They never call you to arrange a time they are arriving for installations. They always claim "someone will call 24 hrs before the install" and SURPRISE no one calls. So you must pursue this information from their customer service reps, who are always incredibly rude and are unable to answer the most basic of questions. 2) When the installers FINALLY arrive, they are NEVER prepared for the job. What was the point of having someone come out to measure and assess the current floors if this information is not communicated to the install crew? "We can't complete the job, we didn't know you had hardwoods on the floor already" WHY DIDNT YOU KNOW? Your measurement guy SPECIFICALLY took this info down, and we called ahead to make sure it was known - somehow the info never gets to the right people... 3) The install crews were always EAGER to leave the job early without completing the job - they left without reinstalling the baseboards in our entire basement. The crew removed the baseboards for the job, and then never put them back.. They are still sitting in our basement... 4) The communication between Home Depot and Crew 2 was HORRIBLE. The right hand never knew that the left hand was doing - and we were put in the middle to try and piece together this communication OURSELVES. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. We will be going elsewhere to complete our home renovation, I only wish I could get back the time I wasted with Home Depot and Crew 2 read more

I am so disappointed with my experience with Crew 2 and Home Depot. I just spoke with James at Home Depot's Corporate Office so hopefully I can get to the bottom of this...... Yesterday I was to have carpet installed at one of my rental properties. I was told I would get a call the day before with a time frame. I never received a call so I called them the morning of the install. I was told the reason I didn't receive a call was because their phone lines were down....hmm, strange but ok. I asked for the installers to call me when they were on their way so I could let them in. I provided two phone numbers. I was told, "they will for sure call, they always do". NO CALL. I called again after the install time had passed. I was told that they didn't know why the install didn't happen and the office will have to send an email because their phone lines have been down since yesterday (second time I was told this). After about another hour my new tenant, who is furious because she had her movers scheduled to come the next day, said she wanted the number so she could see if she could get answers. I provided her the number. Shortly thereafter she calls back to inform me they told her the reason why the install didn't happen is becuase the installers showed but no one was there. OF COURSE NO ONE WAS THERE,.... NO CALL. Oh, and also, said installers don't have access to secondary numbers so that's why they didn't call my cell phone. So, interesting that the tenant-to-be was given an explanation but I still hadn't heard a word from anyone. I then called again....left another message....no call back. The next morning I called again, this time I finally spoke to the person in charge of this whole situation. Her name is Tiffany at Crew 2 for the Madison, WI area. She said the reason I didn't get call was because she went home sick (I thought the phone lines were down). Then proceeded to tell me that they did repeatedly call my first, second, and third number. Third number? I don't have a third number. She read it off to me and it's a number that I never heard of in my life. I rechecked my call log on my cell phone....not one call. Crew2, if your reading this I would be happy to provide call records from my cell carrier, and I thought installers only had access to primary numbers? and I thought their phone lines were down? Or was it the person was sick? How many different stories now? The person from the call center center told me my cell number wasn't entered into their system until last night. Even she gave me a "hmmm" Bottom line...crew 2 is trying to convince me this is my fault. Jessica at Home Depot Madison Wi West said as a courtesy they are willing to waive the trip charge from the missed appointment. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I am now in the process of canceling the whole order. #NEVER AGAIN. I wish I would have found these reviews before now. My experience was with the Crew2 group in Columbus, Ohio. Our water heater went out right when the weather was below zero. We had just bought the house in May and were working with a year warranty while we tried to get our heater replaced. We had originally called out the Water Works plumbers, who were awful. They came to our house four hours late (and didn't even give us a phone call), and told us that it would take over a week for them to install the heater before they quoted us a price of over a thousand dollars for a new water tank. We then had to contact the home warranty company to try to figure out how they were going to handle the situation. They then booked an appointment with Crew2 who came out the next day (on time unlike the Water Works) and brought a new water heater with them. The two guys that came out were wonderful! They were very nice, informative, and easy to talk with which made the experience much less nerve racking. They also had the water heater installed in around 48 minutes (Which was great considering the Water Works told me it would take three to four hours). Crew2 then showed me how to care for the machine and the regular basics before they turned it on and asked me to go around to each sink and let the water run to get any air out of the fixtures. When I was going around the house to let air out of the showers and everything Crew2 noticed that carbon monoxide was coming from the water tank vent and turned off the gas immediately and informed me that I might have a blockage in my vent system. I explained that I had smelt a weird gas smell from the basement the night the water tank went out and that I had told the Water Works, but they brushed me off and told me it was no problem. Crew2 was shocked to hear that the Water Works had not tried to figure out what I was smelling and shut the tank off, but they then recommended that I call a chimney sweep (who came out and determined that there was indeed a blockage in the vent). Honestly, the Crew2 team who helped me did a great job, I couldn't have asked for better plumbers! To recap: Same day service and installation, professional service, honest plumbers, who seriously care about the people they are helping. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who is looking for plumbers! read more

Home Depot hires Crew 2 to subcontract out installation. I was lucky to get an amazing crew from Manna Construction 1. The entire team was from Guatemala, and the crew leader, Ever, spoke excellent English. It was a huge full house (3,000 sq. feet) job and we had to move all of our furniture into the hallway, entry, bathroom and kitchen area, therefore the pathways were narrow and challenging to get through. Not only did they do a GREAT job installing the carpet, each and every one of the crew members were super kind and personable too! They worked really hard for hours and left the place tidy. My only regret is that I didn't get Ever's phone number so that I could hire them again someday. We had two sliding patio doors installed by Crew2 mid November and have nothing but good things to say. Home Depot though...There needs to be work done on their end. Bought the doors on 8/14. Got a voicemail on 9/18 (5 weeks later) from Home Depot saying the doors would be ready 10/1 (approx. 7 weeks). October 1st came and went and nothing from Home Depot saying the doors were actually ready. Called Home Depot week of 10/6 and was informed doors were ready and that someone from Crew2 would call me that day. No call. I called Home Depot following day and they gave me Crew2's number and I called them. Talking to Crew2 they said the earliest they could someone out would be week of 11/24, week of Thanksgiving. Really? Called Home Depot and said this was unacceptable. Bought the doors on 8/14! They couldn't do much, but put me on a list that if anyone cancelled before my install date, they would call me. Not blaming Crew2 for this. Home Depot needs to better set expectations. If, from the get go, I was told that it could be 3 months from the time I purchased to the install, I could have made the decision to go ahead with the deal or not. I have a feeling Home Depot knows exactly how long it could have taken abd they obviously didn't want to lose the business. Dishonest! Ended up getting the doors installed on 11/12, so a little earlier than what Crew2 originally told me. That was cool. 11/12 arrived and Crew2 showed up when they were supposed. Two doors is a two man job normally (per Crew2), but one guy showed up. Partner was out sick. I am thinking great they are going to be here all day. Guys finished in about 4 hours. Cleaned up afterwards, gave me some paperwork and such. Nothing but professional and good guy. read more
