CREW CUTS
Had a weak notion I might get a haircut when I went down town this morning. It wasn't reinforced when I passed a traditional barbers in Winthrop Street where a dry cut would cost 12 euro. Lost all appetite for it when I saw 15 euro tariff up on Turkish barbers in Oliver Plunket Street, saying to myself I'd go local at Dillon's Cross or Mayfield.
But, on my way to view excellent selection of rock photos in Cork Vision Centre in North Main Street, spotted Crew Cuts (more or less opposite Bradley's, my unofficial bottled beer supplier). Called in, joined in the conversation about a customer's baby (who was with his mother and looking on interestedly), and got a decent cut for just 8 euro. Shop around, said Mary Harney.
