Check it out if you want to hear how the instructer never came prepared, how we couldn't use the materials we paid for, or the fact that there was not even a space *in their own building* for us to meet because they kept overbooking rooms. What's more though, I think, is knowing this is how The South Shore Arts center operates and the fact that they don't care enough to address it even when emailed with the explicit details. They already had my $150, so what did they care.

Since the…read moreeven was tailored to our pets, we had to submit photos prior and the outlines were set for us. My friend and I could request to sit next to each other when we purchased our seats. The prices were more than fair for the amount of work the instructors put in for this event! There was also another paint and sip party in the backroom, the place is larger than you expect looking from the outside. The location is easily accessible and had ample room for a party in the back while we painted our pets out front. Lisa and the other instructor (we only caught one of the instructor's names) were incredibly patient. As someone who isn't very talented in the art department, I didn't feel shamed when I had questions or ran into a problem that I couldn't fix. The two hours flew by and there were many laughs and smiles had by all. It's a really well kept area and I would definitely come back here for another event.

From my experience, it feels like Black students are not given the same opportunities or consideration when it comes to certain positions on campus. Students are already paying high tuition, yet basic things can feel excessively expensive. I hope the school takes these concerns seriously.
