This school is located on the east side of town near the cross streets of Vegas Valley and Eastern. When I arrived I was greeted in the office and signed in so I could receive my official visitor badge. My friend then escorted me to her classroom. This school has a lot of age on it but my friend is lucky enough to have her classroom located in the new building. The school teaches K - 5th grade. After getting settled the children joined us and we worked on a little math project and then over the loud speaker it was announced that field day was cancelled. Then five minutes later, they announced that field day was back on. The weather had been wreaking havoc earlier in the morning so it was kind of touch and go as to whether or not Field Day would happen. Luckily, the sun came out! The kids were really excited so everyone lined up and outside we went. The PE teachers organized and created all the games. The kids loved all the unique games. It was a lot of fun cheering for the kids. After hitting seven stations of games it was time to come in and get ready to go home. Inside the classroom my friend has a butterfly garden that held approximately 6-7 cocoons. While we were outside two of the cocoons emerged into butterflies. The kids were all amazed and it was so genuine to watch their little faces and hear their comments. Such a fun day and so happy to help my friend today. As I was leaving, one little boy told me I could come back and help out in class and then his friend said but only if I wanted to. I thought that was too cute! I had the pleasure of meeting the Principal, Mr. Larry McHargue who has been at this school over 30 years! He is super dedicated and it appeared all his staff are also dedicated and engaged.

Or even have a little compassion. If you hate your job get another one. Don't work with children. I dropped off supplies for my daughter's birthday celebration and they acted like it's such a hassle to call the teacher up to grab it. The Safekey "teacher" is running a military camp. Screams at the children and if they so much as look at one another during reading time (which is half the morning, who wants to read all morning before class??) she will embarrass your student by yelling at them. The ONLY saving grace about this school is Mrs. Ayala. Thankfully my daughter has a few short months left at this school and we're out. If you have options, send your kids somewhere else.

I ignored it, until my child came home and said he had the worse day ever his teacher always yells and another child snatched his belongings and the teacher took his recess away because he was unaware of the rules. They get out at 3:26 and if you are not there in 5 minutes they will take your child to the office which they hate to deal with them will call you before 4:00 and speak to you crazy like you abandoning your child there they are so unorganized from the office to the class room it's upsetting they don't provide buses for kids here my son is not happy here at all!!!!

It is was very difficult to find the actual physical addresses of the CCSD due to this mistake. I am feeling Optimistic about the direction that the Clark County School District is taking. With this new Superintendent in place, Jhone Ebert; a former teacher. I really like her overall stance. I've seen her on the local news. I've gotten the email messages; there was a Going Back To School guide, as well as various Back To School Fairs, located at the major malls. Jhone Ebert has such positive messages for us parents in Clark County. There is a new energy at the Clark County School District. In her "Welcome Back" message the Superintendent announced that all CCSD students would be getting free Breakfast and free Lunch.

Small class size enables students to receive individualize attention. It is amazing to watch my little ones growing into confident, kind and curious learners. This is a Christian school, so they do have a Bible study class and chapel day. They do not impose any religion upon the students. School focuses on values, character development, academics and personal growth. My children are now in elementary and starting middle school grades. Our experience has been wonderful. I highly recommend this school.

I had one Bible class where the teacher spent a full 20 minutes ranting about how gay people are an abomination, and some of the teachers are very heavily involved in student gossip. Their health class? A bunch of poorly copied pdf files of a text book with anything to do with genitalia being scribbled out because "it's not of God." And if they find out your child is transferring to a new school? They try to scare them into staying, telling them that anywhere else they'll get beat up, made fun of, and ignored. I left after my junior year, and they didn't prepare me at all for college. I felt blindsided. Leaving was the most refreshing experience of my life. Everyone I talk to that I knew from the school still harbors heavy resentment toward this place. Save your money.
