I would highly recommend staying far away from this facility. My 87-year old mother lived there for the past year, until July when she fell in her bathroom and broke her hip. She fell at 2am on a Sunday. The facility is supposed to check on their residents by 9 am. No one checked on my mother that day at all. Infuriating. I talk with mother usually every Sunday so when I didn't hear back from her by Monday morning, I called Crestview to do a wellness check. Tori said she went to check on mom and said that mom was just tired but okay. So it took me calling to get them to check on her. Turns out that later in the day, another gal named Lisa, found my mom at 3pm still lying on the bathroom floor, in pain. She called 911 and my mom was taken to the hospital - after lying on the floor for 37 hours. So much for good care. We found a new place for mom and when I went to clean our mom's apt at Crestview last week, the director Christina asked to speak to me. She denied that we had left her any voice messages and said she didn't receive any - from myself, my aunt and also mom's social worker. Christina insisted we give a written 30-day notice and that mom has to pay for September rent despite her move being involuntary, as she can no longer live independently. I asked Christina if there was any way we could reach an agreement since we are not a litigious family, but she was unwilling to budge at all. OH, P.S. The State of Missouri is now investigating them for the elder abuse. read more

Wonderful place! Bright and cheery. Very pleasant activities, including exercise class. My mom has been here for three and a half years. Great staff and housekeepers and maintenance. We have used a few services that you pay for such as Senior Helpers when she had a wound that needed daily tending and that was very helpful and reassuring. Also the on-site salon for haircuts and pedicures is convenient. One huge downside to caution about is that meals are not served at all on Sunday nights. This has been burdensome for our family and other residents have grumbled about this repeatedly. They get used to not cooking and then there is no meal and families are not always able to help. So then it's cold leftovers or PBJ. But that is the only down side, other than that, it's a wonderful place and we would recommend it! read more

Crestview has been a wonderful living solution for my uncle who lived in his own home until a few years ago. He is still able to live very independently but with the extra support he needed to be safe. The staff are attentive and friendly. They take a real interest in his love of Cardinals baseball and other things that are important to him. When we visit from out of town we're always impressed with how clean and attractive the whole building is. Since we live out of town we are glad to know he's in a place that gives him good quality of life. We recommend it highly. read more

My Mom loves her apartment and all Crestview has to offer! She has been there for years and even though her memory and health has declined, she strongly feels Crestview is her home and also her support community. Myself, my brother and 2 sisters have the greatest respect and appreciation for Pat and her entire Crestview staff. They are very understanding, caring, friendly, professional and responsive not only to my Mom and her situation and needs, but also to our entire family. My Mom has lived in Crestview for nearly 7 years. Before the decline of her health she participated in many of the activities that Crestview offers their residents; luncheon trips; cards, Bingo, scenic rides, happy hour to name a few. I would highly recommend Crestview as a community where your loved ones would feel welcomed and cared for. On behalf of my 2 brothers and sister we have nothing but high praises for Pat, the Crestview staff and the staff of Co-Operative Health Care. I can't say enough kind things about this facility and the women who run it. My mother is 93 years old and has been at Crestview retirement home for over two years now. She was at another retirement facility that had all levels of care on site. I had always thought this to be a benefit. Really, as it turns out - that seems to be a conflict of interest as that facility stands to benefit by thousands each month as they happily graduate the elderly to the next level of care. Crestview however, does not have on-site skilled, assisted or nursing home care. These people regard this wonderful home as the individuals home and they want them to be able to stay in their home and remain as independent as possible. On site there is a home health agency not affiliated with Crestview as is a therapy company. When your loved one needs more help it is conveniently there for them. Furthermore, her reasonable monthly fee includes three meals a day, more if she would choose. The wonderful dining room will serve her all day long. The activities department is wonderful too- they plan so many wonderful activities and outings for the residents to look forward to and to have purpose. The housekeeping & maintenance departments keep the place looking brand new. Every worker here has been so very friendly and accommodating. The group of people that are Crestview- are so very professional, kind and patient -I would name them all but fear I would leave someone out. I shall name the director Pat Beisel as one of the most dedicated, professional and lovely people you'll ever meet. I've been a nurse over 30 years. I have learned a few things about caring for people. This place is wonderful and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a home away from home for their self or a loved one. read more

We stayed at Crestview in the guest apartment for one month. We were there to visit my brother who had moved in this year. From the first interview to the day we left it was Home to him and us. Pat Biesel and her entire staff welcomed us and made us feel like family. We were there to celebrate his birthday and Pat helped us arrange and carry out my brothers 77th birthday. Family and friends were made to feel at home as well. Little did we know at that time it would be his last. He started declining in his health and the love and concern which was shown to us was awesome. From the cleaning staff, dinning room staff , the front desk and Pat herself helped us through a very difficult time. He passed away on the 11th of March . He loved to sit out on the balcony and watch the people coming and going and was also welcomed home after doctor or hospital stays. He found comfort there with the residents and staff. They all went well beyond what was expected of them and need to be recognized for their work they do to make it home for so many. So many seniors are forgoten in latter years but at Crestview everyone feels like one big family due to Pat and her staff. God Bless each of them . My mother moved there 16 months ago. She talked of home for about 3 months but soon settled in. She loves it. The staff,activities,food and friends are wonderful.Some residents still have cars and you can bring a small pet-dog or cat which other places do not allow.They have a 3rd party nursing office for more care also..There is a exercise room,computer lab,large sitting room with fireplace,piano in the dining room,beauty parlor,and a large tv,social room for cardinal games,happy hour every friday.They offer free transport to doctors and errands,a sunday mystery tour,speakersand live music! The food is good and building is immaculate.The best value I found.Also a large daily activity calendar. All for about 2700 per month studio,3100 for a 1 bedroom. The newer building makes it all possible and the wonderful staff and residents keep it going..Really wish she had moved there 5 years ago.
