I would highly recommend staying far away from this facility. My 87-year old mother lived there for…read morethe past year, until July when she fell in her bathroom and broke her hip. She fell at 2am on a Sunday. The facility is supposed to check on their residents by 9 am. No one checked on my mother that day at all. Infuriating. I talk with mother usually every Sunday so when I didn't hear back from her by Monday morning, I called Crestview to do a wellness check. Tori said she went to check on mom and said that mom was just tired but okay. So it took me calling to get them to check on her. Turns out that later in the day, another gal named Lisa, found my mom at 3pm still lying on the bathroom floor, in pain. She called 911 and my mom was taken to the hospital - after lying on the floor for 37 hours. So much for good care. We found a new place for mom and when I went to clean our mom's apt at Crestview last week, the director Christina asked to speak to me. She denied that we had left her any voice messages and said she didn't receive any - from myself, my aunt and also mom's social worker. Christina insisted we give a written 30-day notice and that mom has to pay for September rent despite her move being involuntary, as she can no longer live independently. I asked Christina if there was any way we could reach an agreement since we are not a litigious family, but she was unwilling to budge at all. OH, P.S. The State of Missouri is now investigating them for the elder abuse.

Wonderful place! Bright and cheery. Very pleasant activities, including exercise class. My mom has…read morebeen here for three and a half years. Great staff and housekeepers and maintenance. We have used a few services that you pay for such as Senior Helpers when she had a wound that needed daily tending and that was very helpful and reassuring. Also the on-site salon for haircuts and pedicures is convenient. One huge downside to caution about is that meals are not served at all on Sunday nights. This has been burdensome for our family and other residents have grumbled about this repeatedly. They get used to not cooking and then there is no meal and families are not always able to help. So then it's cold leftovers or PBJ. But that is the only down side, other than that, it's a wonderful place and we would recommend it!

My mother-in-law spent nearly one year at Manor Grove before she died. She went in initially for…read morerehab for fractures, and ended up staying as a resident. The staff went out of their way to attend to her, keep her occupied, talk to her--in short, they were fabulous. They also were open and communicative with my husband and me about my MIL's care and progress. There are various activities (movies, bingo, live entertainment) for the residents who are able to participate. And there are a couple of resident cats and nicely landscaped courtyards and gardens. We didn't want my MIL to go to a nursing home, but we feel fortunate that the home she went to was Manor Grove. The only criticism I have is that although the food was nutritious, it struck my husband and me as institutional fare. However, they have no objection to family bringing food in. I have no hesitation in recommending Manor Grove.

Terrible. $12,600 for a private room. New ownership has routinely been staffing one aide per 20…read moreresidents. Often, there isnt even an aide or LPN upstairs where the memory patients live. No staff means no shower, or the loved ones have to spend hours tracking down staff so we can harrass them for a shower. The food is absolute crap. Bread is often stale, out of everything all the time. "Sunday dinner" this week was a cold ham sandwich. Yum! another night it was ham and beans. Did I mention that my mom is paying $12,600/month for this joke of a nursing home? But the biggest issue has been the absolute mis-management - probably bordering fraud - of my mom's meds, which keep her alive. She didnt receive half of her bp meds in January. Stopped receiving her thyroid pills, also. At the end of February, she stopped receiving a vaginal cream that she is supposed to have each night. She went about 2 weeks without it. The nurse told me they were "out of it", but was "on order". The next day, the state pharmacy confirmed that none had been ordered; it was 5 days later when it was finally re-ordered. During this time, her medical records showed that she had been given it every night when they didnt even a new bottle of it. Sounds like fraud to me - doctoring the records to show sonething took place, when it had not. I know of at least one employee who left bc she was unconfortable doing what the new owners were asking her to do - said she could lose her nusing license. At least 30% of residents have moved out. I have no idea why others continue to move their relatives here for short-term rehab. The care and food are both a joke.
