Great experience, the staff was professional, the hygiene was gentle, and Dr. Gorgaes explained everything I needed to know about my case.

F T R = First To Review & I Also Added This New Dental…read moreBusiness May 12, 2025 - Monday Review #516 "SMILE - There are 2 New Dentists In Macomb - R W Ruffino & K Whitford !" I checked out this new location and dental practice since my previous dentist is retiring later this year. What a wonderful referral with Dr. Frank Ruffino and also Dr. Krystin Whitford who are so professional in the many full range dental services and their personalities are amazing! They both credit continuing education in cutting-edge technology with dental service from routine care and teeth whitening to implants, root canals, and sleep apnea treatment. (So no more back and forth with a oral surgeon) The advance care technology includes digital, and full mouth panoramic X-rays, 3D Imaging, and same day crowns under high quality care and well being. I first visited Janet on May 1, 2025 for My 6 month check-up and teeth cleaning. Since I previously had an issue with a loose 20 year old porcelain crown she verified with insurance that I needed X-rays. The X-rays did show a crack in it plus the 30 year old white gold crown next to it on top left side was showing signs of decay since years ago in the 80's ? there was never a root canal done before the crown therefore two areas needed attention asap! Thank goodness for her efficiency and alertness while performing a full mouth exam on Me as a New Patient. She also used a new cleaning treatment called Sonicare. Then scanned the gumline and bone areas of density in My jaw and tooth roots. :-) After cleaning I met Dr. Frank Ruffino and we discussed the urgent needed 2 - 3 hour appointment to perform one root canal and new crown and replace an old cracked crown with white porcelain too. No BOGO here but thank goodness for good dental insurance and also My Care Credit Card that this dental practice accepts. Put My Money where My Mouth Is ! $$$ Upon Returning, Dr. Ruffino, assistants Brooke and Stephanie helped Me stay calm, relaxed and explained each step and procedure throughout the dental appointment. I received a large novacaine shot to the top left side. The high speed drill was painless plus short breaks in between the Removal of two crowns and cleaning out areas. I was given a nice 30 minute break while the CEREC 3D- Machine created the two crowns based the laser scanning machine used to measure and create them. The laser root canal machine was high tech and fast to remove the roots from the old white gold crown. It was comforting NOT to experience the 1980's old fashion way of a root canal with the drill, dig to pull and painful procedure. Thanks to high-quality care again here with dentist Dr. Ruffino. The process of fitting. measurement of bite was perfect with a tad of a high spot but naturally it can be normal for both crowns side by side. It took 3 days for my mouth to stabilize so the 1st weekend of May was soft foods. I can no longer eat or chew on sticky and hard foods or candies which is nbd. I was put on a steroid and anti-biotic for 7 days as a precaution based on the small infection before my cleaning appointment that I didn't realize I had starting up before the cracked smal andl old porcelain crown. I visited today as a follow-up and both white porcelain crowns are fitted well and adjustment is wonderful plus a another continued great SMILE ! I praise Dr. Ruffino and Dr. Whitford for their dental guidance, support, comfortable office, along with teamwork from staff at front desk to the assistants and the preventive dental care I received. I look forward to being positive and less nervous too at My future visits as well to keep My teeth stronger and for longer! New Office is Located At: 16792 21 Mile Road Macomb, MI. 48044 Phone: (586) 263-1200 www.ruffinodds.com He is accepting NEW patients with Free Sonicare as I had done. Please check out My Photos attached for this New Dental Practice. He also has a location at 51333 Mound Road in Shelby Township. Sincerely and Still Smiling, Karen N. (SpecialK) Macomb

Review #458 "First To Review" Ending 2023 Plus…read moreI Was First To Tip In - 2019 Friday, December 29, 2023 After moving to this area in 1992, I became a patient with David M. Kaminski in 1995, and have been Smiling since! He is a local, personable, professional and caring dentist to Me and all his patients. He practices General Dentistry, Cosmetic, Implant Restoration, Crowns, and Endodontics and uses Digital Imaging and Radiographs for Ex-rays. David Kaminski is a member of the Macomb Dental Society and Michigan Dental Association. He accepts Delta Dental, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna Insurances. His office is located in the Country Meadows Shopping Plaza and inside the Professional Building at 16700 21 Mile Rd., Suite #108 of Macomb. Dental Hours are on Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM and on a Saturday once a month. He also has another location in Warren, Michigan during the week with hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. His staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and shows a strong professionalism every 6 months when I step in and out of his office. After My teeth are examined, cleaned, ex-ray and flossed by Lisa, Dr. Kaminski steps in the room to also check over my teeth and we always chat about the Red Wings Hockey Team. He knows left winger Justin Abdelkader. (Photo of his autographed Jersey attached) :-) Joanne and Pat are cheerful at the front desk and Lisa has been a great and precise Dental Hygienist to keep My teeth and gums healthy and clean. After a check-up and cleaning I always receive a bag filled with a new toothbrush, toothpaste and container of floss, which helps Me to "Keep on Brushing, Flossing and Smiling Morning, Noon & Night !" I highly recommend David M. Kaminski along with his delightful staff at this Dental Office! So Sorry I didn't write My 5 star Review sooner being a pleased and satisfied patient! Karen :-) Smiling Special K

Dr. Kaminski has sold his practice to Ruffino & Whitford Dentistry. I have been seeing Dr…read more Kaminski since 2010 and would continue to highly recommend him; but now I needed to see Dr. Ruffino's part of the practice. I saw Dr. Kaminski in this new practice on January 8 and February 10 of this year. Both times, I had dental pain and asked Dr. Kaminski to x-ray my teeth. The last time I saw Dr. Kaminski, I asked him to perform a whole-mouth x-ray session; however, Dr. Kaminski only had time to x-ray three teeth and told me that the full-mouth would be completed during my upcoming dental cleaning with the new dentist's technician. As I was leaving, Angela, the receptionist asked me to pay for the full-mouth of dental x-rays when I actually had only three teeth x-rayed. I told her that I would begin a six-week regimen of radiation therapy shortly and did not know when I would be able to have the dental cleaning. She charged me for the complete mouth of x-rays anyway and submitted the claim to my dental insurance. I have telephoned Dr. Kaminski's office in December before Chrismas and asked to speak to him. Angela would not connect me. I do not know if she relayed the message to Dr. Kaminski. I have telephoned Dr. Kaminski's office several times in 2025 to speak to him. Each time, Angela said she would take a message. I telephoned Angela earlier this week to speak to Dr. Kaminski; Angela told me I must come into the office in person to speak to Dr. Kaminski if I wished to speak to him. I reminded her again that I could not come in to speak to him in person because my car is totaled; each time I was driven to an appointment in Dr. Kaminski's office, I was charged $ 200 for the round trip. In her ususal huffy/puffy voice, Angela again told me that I could speak to Dr. Kaminski in person. Dr. Kaminski seems to have more protection from phone calls than the president of the United States. He has never returned my calls. Today I telephoned my dental insurance company. They agent informed me that I was charged for a full mouth of x-rays, which I never received, on both January 8 and February 10 of this year, although only three teeth were x-rayed. As soon as I receive a copy of these statements, I shall call the Better Business Bureau to discuss this matter. It is truly sad that Dr. Kaminski chooses to continue to work as a dentist in this new practice. His idealic reputation is being ruined by his telephone body guard.

I have been a patient of Dr. Antolak's for 7 years now. And there is a reason why I originally…read moreseeked him out. His name. "The Gentle Dentist" I had previously had issues with a few dentists that claimed to be the same... they would take care of you, make sure you were as comfortable as possible. Well, that wasn't the case at the other places that I had tried out for being a dentist. To be frank, I have a horrific fear of going to the dentist. Why that is? I have no idea... maybe its the fact that for some reason its painful... you're vulnerable... you're trusting those other people to do what they need to do so that you can continue being able to eat and do it without having any pain in life. From my first meeting with Dr. Antolak, I knew that this was going to be a completely different experience than any other dentist office I had ever been to. He sits down with you, gets to know you, actually listens to everything that you are worried, concerned, or that you have questions about. He will explain everything in terminology that you can understand, and he does everything in his power to make sure you're comfortable. The staff themselves are amazing. They remember you, they know your personal details, but most of all they put your dental health in front of everything else... They don't suggest having work done that isn't necessary. Another key reason why I had found Dr. Antolak is that he has been trained in Sedation Dentistry. Basically it is summed up that if you have fear of going to the dentist, have had bad experiences, or have severe anxiety like myself... they can provide you with medicine that will allow you to 'sleep' through your appointment. You go in, take some medicine, get all relaxed, lay back in the chair.... and then that is it. Everything is done. I could probably sit here for a while and rave about how kind and friendly everyone at the office is, but I would say that if you are in the search for a dentist... Dr. Antolak should be at the top of your list of dentists to check out in the area.

Missing authentic human element. Office staff is compiled of people jamming emails, text messages,…read morepasswords, logins, and iPads in your face. I get "paperless," but come on now! When I called to make an appointment for my husband and I, I told them I didn't want passwords and logins for anything. I was originally told that wouldn't be a problem. 20 minutes later, I start getting calls and texts demanding our emails. Even though, I didn't want to communicate with email I called them back with it. I still received SEVERAL phone calls and text messages about them wanting my email. It was very high pressure! Not a "gentle" experience. It was as invasive as a door to door sales that pushed their way into your front door and wouldn't leave. I called to let the office know that the new patient forms indeed required additional logins and passwords. Instead of offering an alternative solution, the rude staff said "well then this isn't for you." I guess it's the right office for you if you enjoy high pressure, constant harassing contact via EVERY form of communication without stopping and if you collect usernames and passwords. This office is the very definition and experience of why many people don't use their dental insurance.
