We had a really good experience with Go and Drive recently with our son Landon. We're originally…read morefrom WA where driver's ed wasn't optional and you took it in school, so this was a new world to us booking it this way. Scheduling was easy and convenient, lots of different days and time slots to pick from. The different packages options are great for helping any level of experience driver and some include the actual road test and licensing appointment. It's one on one instruction, which I appreciated. I also liked that it was the same model car that he drove in all his sessions to help him be more comfortable. The two instructors we had, Sean and Brad, were communicative, friendly, patient, and encouraging. They really gave my son the big boost of confidence he needed for things like parking in parking lots. After every session, we had a little download about what went well, areas to work on, and how all the things related to the test. They practiced all different kinds of driving scenarios, driving defensively, the "unofficial rules of the road here in AZ" (driving here is just different, it really is) and not being distracted. Our son was able to pass on his first attempt with flying colors! Having the test and licensing appointment included was totally worth not having to make those separate trips to the DMV. We also got the driving course certificate for the auto insurance discount. I'm in the insurance business so trust me when I say, it helps a ton !! Teenagers being added to insurance comes with some hefty sticker shock. Will be using Go and Drive again when it's time for our other two kids to drive.

UPDATE: The school has offered to help with the areas my teen still needs work on and also a teen…read moredriving safety class. I appreciate the assistance very much and will update in a few weeks once the lessons have been completed. The Ultimate Package is not nearly enough practice and in my opinion - the driving test should not even be offered with this package. The first lesson was not good. I had called and told the school that my teen had barely driven before - and the first instructor was not patient and irritated that she didn't know how to adjust the mirrors. They also took an extremely long break parked in our neighborhood during the session and my teen came back from this lesson discouraged. I did contact Go and Drive and I have to say they were extremely responsive with my concerns. The instructor for the next lessons (Katie) was much better and very patient. However, if you are not comfortable driving with your teen when he/she has her permit then you need to pay more upfront and get the Pristine or Titanium package. Our teen did practice driving in between lessons but we realized near the last lesson that this was not going to be enough. This is our first teen driver in AZ, and the website description of the Platinum package makes it seem like your child will be ready to drive after a 10 hour set of lessons. FYI, ADOT requires more than this, even with the professional driving lessons (20 hours additional including 6 at night, I believe). In hindsight, I think that Go and Drive should not have even had my teen take the driver test as she clearly wasn't ready. My teen is disappointed that her Dad and I aren't letting her drive on her own for at least the next few months, even though she did pass the test. I do want to say, however, that the staff and management at Go and Drive are very responsive and communicate well. It's just discouraging that after completing the Ultimate Package, our teen still needs more practice.

Jenna does such a great job of encouraging confidence in the water and it's amazing to see the progress they have made from waiting for an adult to get in the pool, safely navigating the edges, holding breath, and learning to swim on her own. TODAY - I am contacted with an explanation that "I honestly thought you were probably a good person but I felt a dislike towards me right away. That energy was truly difficult for me to deal with." His "concerned" response concluded with this: "PS. I once had a doctor do surgery on my knee. I really disliked him (really this guy was a jerk) but I knew he was an expert..... My knee works great again. :)" Since 12/23/2014 (again five months after my initial review) - the Owner has contacted me several times via personal email 3-4 and 1x telephone (actually left a message) - surreptitiously attempting to convince me to edit/delete or otherwise alter my review. I find the Owner's contact inappropriate and borderline harassing. I rejected his offers of a refund as that is not the intent of my review - rather to advise others of my experience. The Owner provided a service- and was compensated for his service. My opinion is this Owner does not take kindly to those with opposing/differing views. Unprofessional and inappropriate boundaries.
