We ordered avocado toast, French toast, banana pecan pancake, house potatoes, and an Aperol spritzer. My avocado toast was served on a single very thick piece of bread, which had a very generous amount of avocado smash and was topped off with this delightful and fresh arugula salad. I added an over easy egg for an extra charge that was the perfect balance. The house salad was simple with butter lettuce, cherry tomatoes, radish, cucumber, with a light lemon house dressing that brought the salad together. It was refreshing. The French toast is pretty standard. Nothing that particularly stood out. The banana pecan pancake was delicious and shared with everyone at the table. The house potatoes were extra crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, which I found particularly satisfying. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and found Portabello's to be a good brunch spot in Salinas. The service was fast, the food portions were big, the food tasted fresh, and it was a nice ambiance. I would definitely return for the avocado toast and potatoes. Side note - I noticed Caesar Salad was misspelled on the menu as "Caeser"

The service was okay as I was half way through my meal before I got coffee and ordered. Bloody Mary which was just okay with a lemon and olive on the stick...celery would have made it look prettier. The restaurant has modern feel in the courtyard area is usually the best place for an outdoor brunch.

It feels like a tucked-away garden you never want to leave. We came for lunch before wine tasting and had such a lovely experience. Kennedy was our server and she was great, warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. I ordered their Kale Caesar salad and it was not your typical Caesar but in the best way. It had raisins, red onion, crushed pistachios and the dressing had these subtle mustard seeds that gave it this bright, slightly tangy pop. It's their unique take on a Caesar and I'm officially obsessed. I'm definitely going to try to replicate this at home! My boyfriend ordered the soup and sandwich, and once I tried a spoonful of the soup, I instantly ordered a cup of my own. It was the corn and shishito pepper soup, velvety, a little smoky, and had just the right kick without being overly spicy. So, so good! Their menu changes seasonally, and since they are a true farm-to-table restaurant, the best way to see what's currently offered is to check their website. If you're looking for a perfect lunch spot in Paso, especially before wine tasting, definitely give them a visit. It's charming, delicious, and just feels good to be there.

I had my eye on the lamb shank ahead of time, and it turned out to be perfection--easily the standout dish of the night. I've dined at many great restaurants, and they truly executed it beautifully. Everything else we ordered was just as impressive: well-balanced, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere (something I always pay attention to). Service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. It's now at the top of my Paso Robles restaurant list, and we'll definitely be back. We belong to a couple of wine clubs in the area, so this will be a regular stop for us--especially for that lamb shank. Parking was easy, it wasn't too busy during our visit, and reservations can be made online without hassle. Coming from the Bay Area and being used to dining in both SF and LA, I can confidently say Parchetto holds its own. High-quality food and a great overall experience. Kudos to the team.

It's one of the very best I've had in all of SLO county hands down. There's something special/unique about heading out on the highway 41 east to Creston and LB Saloon in particular. When you pull into the few block radius that is Creston it's always a fun feeling. They've got a great outdoor patio with live music, a throwback feeling interior/bar, and an unassuming character to the establishment that's awesome. We really appreciate our visits out here and the high quality of the food, beverages, live music, and a friendly staff.

We came upon the intersection that Longbranch sits at and decided to check it out. Glad we did. We split the Smoked Pork Cuban Sandwich with fries and a pint of their rotating beer on tap. The sandwich was so good! Had a little zing at the end of each bite from the banana peppers included on the bottom. We both loved it. The beer was a Mosaic Pale Ale from a local SLO brewery called "There doesn't exist" We sat outside in their patio section, the weather was perfect. We learned our 3:30p Sunday arrival meant that we missed the live music they have on Sundays from noon-3pm. Bummer Service was quick and friendly. Would definitely return if it was along the path of our future travels.

We arrived on time and stood at the entrance for about 7 minutes with zero acknowledgment. Servers and bussers walked right past us, no one said a word. When the hostess finally showed up, there was no apology, just a question about our reservation. She said our table was "almost ready" since the current guests had paid, but then refused to seat us at either of two open 4 tops, saying she wanted to save them for larger parties, even though at least four other 4 tops around the room already had just two people seated at them. She offered us a drink while we waited "a few minutes." Fifteen minutes later, still no table and no drinks provided, while guests with later reservations were seated ahead of us. When we asked again, her story changed: now the original table hadn't actually paid yet. By this point it had been 25 minutes past our reservation, so we finally confronted her directly and pointed out the empty 4 tops with only two people at them. Her explanation was that those parties had reservations, and I reminded her that we had a reservation too. She reluctantly seated us after that, with no apology or acknowledgement. What made it even more frustrating was watching her, later in the evening, seat other parties of two at 4 tops without any hesitation at all. There was never any acknowledgment of the wait or any reason given for why the rules seemed to apply differently to us. It's a shame, because the food and Yuki's service were excellent and deserved a five star night. But the disorganized, inconsistent hosting at the door made the first half hour of my birthday dinner stressful instead of special. Ask for Yuki if you go, just brace yourself at the door.
