As to keep with my ongoing persona goal of not being creepy, I have not frequented too many playgrounds since my childhood. But with twins that are on the verge on turning 3, I have visited quite a few more in recent years. I had never visited this playground until I had a day that my wife had to work, our normal person was out of town and my kids school was out. I decided it would be fun to get some energy out and go somewhere nearby for lunch.
I did not realize that this park had some parking spots on the backend. But again, the point of this was to get energy out. So a walk from a Crestline Village parking place helped with that. The park itself was as Yelp describes 3 stars - A-ok. I do like the secure fence all around. But outside of that, there wasn't a whole lot to do. A swing set, a jungle gym type of structure, a few other devices to play and a small playhouse full of leaves and potential tetanus threats.
Overall a cool walkable play area near my favorite Mountain Brook village. Not great, but perfect for a day like I needed. read more
