Stopped in to American Picture Frame to see what it would cost to get a vintage poster framed. I was caught off guard by how reasonably priced it turned out to be! He spent the time to demo frame colors/materials, explained the benefits of different backings and glass (who woulda even thunk it mattered!), and gave all the cost options. Exactly a week later we got the call they were done, and they look amazing! Do not go to the big chain craft store for framing. A lot of them outsource your custom order, which doesn't feel right when you think about the cost. When you hang up a print that means a lot to you, it's a great feeling to know someone from your neighborhood helped preserve it forever!

My usual vendor was not able to fulfill the order the way I wanted, and it took them about a week to let me know they couldn't do my bespoke request due to tooling limitations. I haven't had film developed since the '90s, so I was certain I was going to end up at a chain, but I decided to look for a local business. Kerry's far exceeded my expectations. I walked in and explained to the woman at the counter that I hadn't done this since likely before she was born. She took my email and told me I would get a message when the film was done and that my scans would be sent via a link. They offered me my negatives, but the first roll was only a test and I said scans alone were fine. I was not expecting my pictures within an hour, but that was the turnaround. The scans were magnificent. I bought a new roll of film while I was there, and the selection is much better than Walmart's and the price was fair. I'm floored with my first experience at this lab. Not only will I be shooting more now that I know I have a lab in the area, but this is where I'm taking all my business.
