I am very particular when it comes to who services my home. I have worked for HVAC companies, so I…read moreknow both sides -- as a customer service person and as a client. Russett has given me more depth of knowledge after their services than anyone ever has done, and I'm 87 so I've had a lot of companies working with me. We bought our new unit last November. I live on social security. They put me in contact with a financier, Good Leap, who ran my contract through my own credit union. No middle man. No corporate for-profit bank. I would recommend Russett. I won't use anyone else. If they get a one-star review, it's because people are not educated in what HVAC companies do. Period. (Happy Fourth, guys.)

Updated review:…read more TLDR: Russett sold us a defective unit for $9,000 4 years ago, it is still under warranty, but they want $2,900 to do the repairs under warranty. Do not buy Lennox, do not buy Russett. Full story below. Unit is a Lennox, purchased from and installed by Russett, still under warranty. It stopped cooling in mid June so we made some calls. Russett didn't get back to us the first day, so we called another company to at least get an idea of what we were looking at. They sent a tech out same day and he showed me photos of a cracked coil and leaked refrigerant and oil in the pan. Short version: coil needs replacing. He uses an OEM approved part to get us up and running and says hey, just so you know, Lennox has a rough time with warranty claims. So I call Russett again, thinking that as a Lennox dealer and the original installer they will be able to make this right. I call first thing in the morning and try to describe what's going on, then ask if they can help us navigate the warranty claim process. On the other end of the line is awkward silence. Then a vague sentence about "warranty claims don't really work like that." Ok... then can you explain how they do work? So I say goodbye. I've been confused, but polite and civil the entire time. After all that and getting no help on the phone from Russett yesterday morning, a manager called me back in the middle of the day and said he'd like to "help us out." By this point our AC is out in late June and the temp inside our house hit 94. The manager refused to quantify what "helping us out" meant. Does that mean you'll just come over and fix it? "No, but we'd like to help." I say I will call him back later. In the meantime, our unit is down again, this time on a 109 degree day. So I call our other tech again. He comes by for no additional charge and gets us up and running- the temporary patch on the coil is not the problem! Now there is a cracked fan blade and a bad capacitor! He gets us running in 20 min and says if Russett won't help us he'll give a good deal on the labor to replace the broken parts. Fast forward, I called Russett back this morning. I asked them to quantify what "helping us out" actually means, because now we need three warranty parts replaced. He said the discounted labor rate for a machine they sold us and installed, still under warranty, is $2,900. 30% of the original install price to replace their defective crap. When I laughed out loud at this, the Russett manager said "We don't make them, we just sell them." I replied that maybe they should not be selling garbage to their customers. The other company is helping me with the claim and giving me a dramatically better price ($800) on labor for the repair. Original Review Below: Russet sold us a lemon of an ac unit a couple years ago. Still under warranty but springing leaks in the coil. 500 bucks in from a different company for a temporary repair. Asked russet to help us navigate the warranty and got silence on the other end of the line. Ac not working, no help from russet.

At the time I hired this company, I was unaware that Ron Morgan had lost his contractor's license in 2020. He is now operating under the name "Titan Heating & Cooling," which is licensed under the business--not under his personal name. Here's a summary of my experience: Initial Quote and Equipment: Ron Morgan provided a quote that seemed reasonable and said he would install a Goodman A/C unit. Day 1: Five workers arrived--none of whom seemed qualified to install the unit. They admitted they were waiting for someone with experience. They were at my home from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and left without the A/C functioning. They also broke a pipe. It was 113°F outside and over 90°F inside. We were not offered a portable A/C unit or any other temporary solution. Day 2: The team returned around 11 a.m., despite promises of an early start. Work continued until 5 p.m., but they were still unable to complete the job. A separate technician came at 6 p.m., worked until 8 p.m., and left the A/C unit functioning only via a jump-start wire. The air coming from the vents was 72°F, and the house never cooled below 81°F. The unit was iced over at the pipe that feeds into the unit., which I later learned is a sign of a serious problem. Ron Morgan dismissed this issue, inaccurately claiming it was normal. Day 3: Another technician, referred to as a "senior tech," arrived with the team. After 5 hours of work, they claimed the system was fixed. However, the attic hatch was left open, and the unit iced over again shortly after. The home remained uncomfortably warm. Still, no temporary A/C solution was offered. Day 4: Ron Morgan stated he would personally come to resolve the issue but failed to call, text, or show up. Throughout the entire process, communication was poor, the workmanship was substandard, and the promised results were not delivered. It is going to cost me $7,000 to fix what Ron Morgan did to my house. DO NOT USE him or his Son Damien Morgan or Titian Heating and Cooling https://photos.app.goo.gl/TexqBZqtXd6E2L2L7 Pictures of the shotty work in the google document https://docs.google.com/document/d/1y5QUpvCObU_l1I35fRgyMUC8YbRJmB2m2KK6OtzWris/edit?usp=sharing

That is when I called Titan Heating and Cooling, and I am so glad I did. Their technician, Damian, took the time to run thorough testing instead of just assuming it was the TXV valve. He discovered the real issue was a small leak in the system. Damian repaired the leak, recharged the unit, and now my AC is running colder than it has in a long time. What really stood out was Damian's honesty and professionalism. Instead of pushing me into an unnecessary $2,000 repair, he saved me thousands of dollars and showed that Titan is truly here to help their customers, not take advantage of them. Thanks to Damian and Titan Heating and Cooling, what started out as a stressful situation turned into a positive experience. I will definitely be calling them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing honest, reliable service.

The technician and the office informed us they would be getting a compressor through American Home Shield and install as soon as it came in, which should be within 3 to 5 business days. On day 5, I reached out to them to ask when they would be installing. They informed me that they had turning the repair back over to home shield the day before. They rudely explained to us that it was not their job to inform us, American Home Shield had to reach out to us. Again, they made this decision after 6 total days. The office manager explained that they did not want to take the job because they do not get paid enough by American Home Shield to replace compressors and that they get unfavorable scoring from home shield if they take on too many big jobs like this from them. The lack of integrity and professionalism from this company is unfathomable. Temperatures in our area had climbed over 100° and this company avoided the repair because they could not talk us into buying a brand new system. They also unwired our system and left it that way so the next company that came out could not properly analyze the problem. Avoid them at all cost.
