I have used Crest flooring twice and was always satisfied. This third time I am highly disappointed. The installer put this plastic floor molding around my entire bathroom, even my porcelain tub. My vanity is ruined and Crest has been totally unresponsive. They take my calls but never follow up. The installer never talked to me. I made him take it off my tub and caulk it. My original estimate does not mention this finishing product at all, nor was it discussed when the job was priced. They heavily advertise, and hard sell, which I presume is what sustains their business because it's not the quality or the price. Crest renames some of their carpets and claim that they are exclusively made for Crest. They are not, they simply rename brand name carpets so they can upcharge. They use subcontractors so the installation prices are astronomical. Go to a Remita Rug instead; they are honest, give installation price up front, installers are employees who care, and Remita saved me over $2,000 on the same carpets and no deposit to measure. Less than zero, had consistent customer service issues from day one of my install: 1) tiles backordered and never notified us, delayed the job 2) didn't send enough sub-floor, delayed again 3) three boxes short on wood flooring, delayed again 4) pre-billed us on the financing and floor hadn't even been installed 5) Owner never called me on 1/28/2 as promised 6) on 2/8/21 I had to follow for a status 7) 2/10 I had to follow up again to confirm install was told they call at 5pm, yet the first time I was confirmed I got the call at 3:29pm The flooring at the end of the day came out beautiful, thanks to the installers, but the customer service is horrendous. Even after it was all done, the owner still did not call personally to make sure I was satisfied. Instead he had someone else call for the balance and tells them to tell me they'll send a gift card. read more

Had my carpet installed in August of 2020... after months of procrastinating on a seam that looked completely obvious in my main room, I finally got it fixed correctly by their two installers Nick and Dan. They were terrific in not only their professionalism but by fixing and making my house look great. I wish the management cared a little more about customer satisfaction and not their bottom line figures. They're friendly when you go in, but pray you don't have a problem or it takes a lifetime (and Covid had nothing to do with it). All installers are sub contractors so ask for Nick and Dan if you want it done correctly! read more

It took them 9 months to complete my simple click in place flooring style project in my hallway and landing. The installer and the accounting department kept blaming each other for the job not getting completed. Accounting actually called me multiple times to see if THEIR contractor had completed it yet and if I just "didn't notice" that they came into my home and finished it, and if i would pay my balance anyway?! No I want what the contract said please. I finally told them the last time they called that I was selling my house soon and if they wanted the money they needed to finish it and so what the contract asked. When the installers finally finished, the edge trim was done horrible. I actually asked him "if this was your home, would you be happy with that quality for the price I paid? " , He said " no." I showed him the door and paid my balance in full. I recommend you hire Lowe's instead. Too bad local isn't better. read more

While we were waiting for a salesperson we were able to look through several options we found suitable only to find most without any price indications ( bad sign). After about 10 minutes an occupied salesperson asked if we needed help. A receptionist then got us someone who asked the quintessential "How much are you looking to spend" LOL that must be the utmost tell tale unprofessional expression ever!. The guy was kind of obnoxious in an clueless way also dishing out ridiculous non sequiturs. The 20 minutes or so we spent discussing options were agonizing I could tell we needed to move on to somewhere else. I left with the impression that this place caters to mostly contractors or people who don't shop around. This was a total waste of our time. Went there for an outdoor carpet. Sales rep requested 50.00 down payment. Rep came out to measure and found my concrete under the existing rug was disintegrating. Need to have that fixed so I passed on the rug for now. Called the salesperson back for a refund and was told it was the fee for the person to measure. When I complained because is not what was explained to me he said the 50.00 will be listed as a credit. I called today and am still wait for a sales manager to call me. The rep that answered the phone said I could come and purchase cleaning products for my credit which I do not need. As a follow up to my review, yesterday, the sales manager did return my call today upon review of my Yelp note. She graciously stated she would return my 50.00 deposit stating they would not keep the deposit. She did state the down payment was for the cost of measuring which may not have been explained well at the time of my visit. Appreciated the call and the refund. read more

My experience has been that this is a company who prefers to work with contractors. During the sales and quoting process, they missed several deadlines that they committed to. We placed a deposit and were told someone would be out to take measurements within 48 hours - it took 96. We were told we would have a quote on the following Monday, I called on Tuesday and the quote was not for the work we reviewed with the person who came out to measure. It took another 24 + hours to get a final quote. I called in to ask what sized quarter round molding to purchase at Home Depot and the woman on the phone admitted she was guessing at her answer. I asked her to confirm that and she did - only to have the installer point out to me that they told me the wrong size. On the flip side - the installer who put our floor in was OUTSTANDING. He was polite, efficient, clean and paid great attention to detail. He was very helpful in explaining the process, answering our questions and he left the house spotless. Alii-in-all, we did get what we paid for, but if you are going to do business with Crest, I would encourage you to do your research elsewhere and definitely stay on top of the sales staff regarding promises they make. read more

Went there to look at laminate flooring. an older guy (Jim) took us back and started answering our questions. He then got paged to go to office. He said he would be right back. 10 minutes later we looked down the hallway and he was sitting at his desk helping two other customers! He did not even come back and tell us about it. I wish I had read these reviews prior to paying for my flooring. Don't get me wrong, the flooring products are top notch and their SUBCONTRACTORS are good guys. However, their customer service (as I have now read) lacks in professionalism, courtesy, and over all communication. Now that we have paid for everything, I would like someone to explain to me why I had to argue with someone this morning about mismatched trim and miscommunication about not having trim done on the whole project??? When I was coming up through customer service training, I was always taught to never argue with a customer, yet the person I spoke with this morning told me that I needed to tell him specifically when I requested matching trim throughout my home? Really!?!?! Why would I want 1/2" trim matched up to 3/4" trim between my kitchen and living room??? First, to argue with a customer is just plain wrong and second to demand specifics about a conversation just totally inappropriate. That being said, I would NOT RECOMMEND anyone deal with Crest Flooring. While the work may be ok, (there are issues with tile flooring not being completely glued down and have already had the installer back twice to fix tiles that are coming up) but to be told by the carpet installers that they had no idea that trim was to be replaced. There are communication issues abounding and I think Crest has a lot of work to do internally...I went with Crest because I thought they had a good reputation, that is my mistake. I'll start with the only positive. The salesman was wonderful to work with. We had an idea of what we wanted and he zipped around the store finding samples quickly and efficiently. Then let's start with the issues. We were told the carpet would arrive in December. Then it was January 5, 12,19,29...and since we were told January 5th, we had most of the house painted the following week. Then were were told the 12th and it was a moving target. I could not ask the painters to wait...So finally early Feb, it was installed or should I say partial installed. The team balked when I asked that they be careful since it was just painted. We discussed with the person who scheduled the install, if we had the transition pieces, could they install them? That person said yes but the installers said no. Now we have to install them. Then there was confusion on whether they were to take the carpet out and install the new. They had marked on the work order only to remove 300 sqft. which confused the installers since it was a few rooms, halls & staircases. But they cleared that up with a phone call. It was a snow week and these guys came in without booties, got my wood floor muddy, walked on my NEWLY INSTALLED carpet with wet and muddy shoes!!! Then the tool they were using broke with a few steps left and they had to come back two days later to finish. So they didn't have a spare tool? When they returned to finish, again, walked in with muddy and wet shoes on my NEW CARPET again!!! For the price we paid, I expected more from the installation crew and now we need to install the transition pieces ourselves and clean our carpet when it is only 2 days old!!! Not a good customer satisfaction experience in any way. read more

It was easy, no pressure and actually enjoyable. Jeff did measurements in house; friendly, polite and answered all my questions. Ralph scheduled our installation. Crest installed our stairway carpeting. Quality is good, selection is good, but installation on one of the stairways has a couple of the carpet treads pushing up like a big wrinkle. Unfortunately is it quite noticeable and unexpected after just one year. read more

SERVICE SELECTION VALUE.. Crest has a great selection of all types of flooring. I purchased hardwood floors for my top floor. I did carpet in my basement and a cork floor in my wife's office. The sales consultant was extremely helpful and spent a lot of time to make sure we received what was best for each room. I received the best quality at a great value. Crest just finished installing the hardwood floors and and they came out perfect. Installer sometimes cut corners but not this guy. What a Nightmare! 1) Went early Oct. to choose carpet and laminate for 4 rooms with ample time before the holiday! 2) Rooms were measured on Oct. 11-carpet and laminate ordered. 3) Installation scheduled Nov. 8 for carpet in living room and bedroom. 4) Installer informs us there is not enough carpet to do living room!!Padding and stretcher strips already in place. 5) Called Crest, informed that if we pick out carpet in stock, it could be done the next day. The carpet in stock was a cheaper grade and not the same color. We had it reordered correctly and installed Nov. 14. 6) For a week everything from the living room was piled high in other rooms. We had to block off the living room when our grandchildren came over because of the nails that were exposed! 7) Called Crest for the inconveniences and we were told we really should have been charged the $310.00 to reorder the correct size! Ironically, it was their measuring mistake!! 8) Laminate installed Nov. 21. Installer informs us AGAIN there is not enough quarter round to finish the bedrooms! He offered to pick it up for us! 9) Called Crest AGAIN they said "sorry". 10) The installation should have been 2 days, For 15 days my home has looked like a warehouse through the holiday! This is truly unacceptable customer service!!! 11) The independent subcontractors were excellent!!! read more

Very accommodating. We went in knowing that we wanted to bind area rugs out of cut carpet. We went in and choose 3 different patterns from the same line and they came out beautiful. Also we needed a stair runner installed and it came out beautiful. Better than we expected! Best part the installer also brought the area rugs with him so it saved us a trip. read more

Their customer service is god awful. They were scheduled to come out on Thursday by 9am....12 rolls around still no installers. I call and desk person says she will find out where they are...she never calls back. It's now 3pm and I call again, oh they'll be there tomorrow instead by 9am, guess what ? Samthing happens again except they don't get back to us till 5pm and tell us Saturday now. So Saturday comes guess what no one shows. I call and they tell me they don't install on saturdays, when just the day before they said they'd be there Saturday morning. I freak out, so at 2 pm a guy shows up with his pregnant wife sitting in car and starts installing our carpet which ended up taking 5 hrs so now 3 days wasted. Oh yeah the way he let his wife sit in car whole time and he jacked up our newly painted walls. They expect us to pay installation after making me miss two extra days of work unpaid. WTF read more

This is a fantastic flooring store! Before I bought here, I had checked out a couple of lower price places, and believe me, with carpeting you get what you pay for. Not that Crest is over priced, they're definitely not. The sales rep Mark Pitkoff spent plenty of time with me helping me to select just the right carpet for our family room and perfect vinyl for our kitchen and laundry room. They were able to match an existing carpet for us, but installed it running the pattern in the opposite direction?!?! When we questioned this, the response was that "this was an acceptable install." The end. For $4,000+ I don't think so. Seems like a no brainer? Unfortunately, although the carpet is nice quality, I feel we wasted our money.
