Removal of tile was remiss and completely unprofessional. No straight tile cuts, just hacked away. There were tile pieces and debris shoved behind cabinet kick plates (which when reattached were held in place with torn cardboard pieces to attempt leveling). Uneven subfloors weren't sanded (leaving areas where lvp actually bends underfoot and has cracked). Tile cut under doors is way offset. Stair nosing doesn't meet up with flooring. December will be 3 years we've had these floors. There are numerous gaps, sliding planks and cracks. Not a day goes by that we wish we had worked with another company! So disappointed!

I posted on Nextdoor looking for recommendations and a women in the neighborhood that I just moved into recommended DCM as they did her home which is one of the largest homes in our neighborhood. The photos she showed me looked great. The best part...The quote was much less than previous quotes and they refinished my stair railings which the other contractors said they don't do. Because the refinishing quote was so good I got a quote for paint as well. They beat out the paint contractor I selected as well. The team was super efficient. They were at the home early and worked nonstop except for lunch break. There was no standing around chit chatting. They finished my project and did a great job in record timing. We are doing a complete renovation of a home from 1898 and it has been a labor of love restoring some of the original features and adding modern conveniences. All of the rooms were carpeted, and one of the first things we knew we were going to do with the house was expose and refinish the hardwood. We were surprised / disappointed to find out when we removed the carpet that the floors originally had an area rug and was stained around - a fairly common practice at the time. What that meant for us was that we would always have a "ring" around the perimeter that was a different color. We were almost to the point of covering with new floor, afraid of what the end results would look like. But Jared was passionate that if these were his floors, he would be refinishing them. I love that personal investment, and I am so glad that we took the chance refinishing! Yes, you can see that little bit of a perimeter, but I am absolutely in love with the floors and all of the character they bring. More impressive was our main entry stairs. The woodworking on the stairs is incredible, and one of the things we most loved about the house, but the entire staircase was completely carpeted. We took off the carpet and it had this awful and impossible-to-remove green glue. Again, after a couple of days of trying to remove it, we were ready to give up on them and re-carpet and after talking to Jared he said "we can do this." So not only did they clean up the stairs completely, but he managed to mix and create the perfect stain color to match the old chestnut on the stairs - a mix of brown, orange, and yellow - depending on the angle you were looking at! They turned out absolutely incredible and are going to be a centerpiece in our home. Overall, I loved Jared's approach to the work, collaboration, and personality. He was absolutely the right fit for us, gave us a competitive price, and we are thrilled with the results. Thanks for caring about our place and giving us floors we will treasure forever!
