Garlic Chicken Wrap
Audra D.

I come here all the time during the week for lunch and it NEVER disappoints. They have a variety of entrees to choose from but my go to is the garlic chicken wrap. It comes with lettuce and tomato, but I add red cabbage, cucumbers and onions which is no charge. They also have various side sauces and I love their jalapeño and garlic's sauces. They are full of flavor and taste so good with the wrap. Though the wrap is around $16 with tax, it's worth it! It's a good size, taste delicious and always well prepared! Also, the service is great! Very friendly and quick! They get busy but are well organized and you never have to wait too long.

First tried their downtown location years ago but since the hours there are very limited I have made Crest Cafe in Elk Grove my to go spot for whenever I want a quiet time alone with some amazing food. Crest cafe is very unique to the point that I came here straight off of a flight from Paris because I missed it so much. I can say for certain this place is in my top 5 restaurants in the world. I don't see why people aren't lining out the door for this amazing food and ambiance. Impeccable! Pictured are some of my favorites that I reorder again and again.

Crest Cafe is a fan favorite among my coworkers so I finally got the chance to try it Thursday! I ordered the Pita and added lamb gyro and added onion, cucumber, and the garlic aioli and tzatziki on the side. When I opened it, I was very impressed by the size! The meat was delicious and very flavorful. For the price, very worth it! I do wish the gyro pieces were a little smaller to make it easier to eat in a wrap, but overall, very good and I'll be returning!

Falafel tacos with sauce

I came into this place for the first time during lunch. I had some catering at an event prior to coming here which included the falafel taco. I fell in love! It is a vegetarian dish, but so yummy! I also added the lunch buffet, which was more than enough for me, but I was not disappointed in the flavor at all. I had the veggie samosa and **kisses fingertips** perfectly hot and goes well with the green sauce in the photo. The butter chicken ,or whatever that was , had so much flavor and I loved it all! I would most definitely come back. I over ordered, because I thought I was ordering one taco, but it is really 3 per order. I don't know how to read yikes! The service is quick, and the location is pretty neat also. It is on k st. so plan your parking accordingly as the roads are sometimes closed off during events or at night!

I had the chicken shawarma tacos and the Mediterranean bowl without veggies. They are so filling on their own. Both so delicious.

This is my favorite place to go for lunch on a work day. They have very limited hours so I'm lucky I work nearby but they do have a location (with more hours I believe) in Elk Grove too. My favorite thing to eat here is the chicken shawarma tacos but all of the wraps and other tacos are delicious as well. I highly recommend trying this place if you are able to and getting chicken shawarma in some form. This place is kept clean and nice inside but it can get pretty crowded during lunch.

This is the highlight of having jury duty. I alternate between the awesome Mediterranean Nachos and the gyro. Today I went with the lamb gyro in a traditional pita. The meat was seasoned perfectly and there was plenty of it. I really enjoyed how tender it was. One thing I thought was really cool was that the lettuce and tomato was under the meat. This had the effect of keeping the produce in place and not falling all over the place. Truly a little thing, it shows they care. They had nice little tables outside. Great day to be outside and soak in the sun. The indoor area was nice and clean. Not too noisy either. I got dismissed from jury duty so it will be another few years before I get to go back. I don't usually go to downtown.

I wasn't very impressed. Food was only ok and spendy. The restaurant was clean and service was totally fine, but I found it to be very mediocre.

Mediterranean Fries

I used to work close by and would have lunch here all the time. Picked up lunch here today and boy was it a great decision, I forgot how amazing this place was! I used to get the Mediterranean nachos (sub gyro meat, you're welcome) every time. Like legit got nothing else on the menu. They're hands down the best thing on K street! However, today I ventured out of my comfort zone and got the Mediterranean fries (basically the same but with fries instead of nachos ). They were outstanding. It reminded me why I used to go here! There's one thing I would have done differently: ask for extra crispy fries. I will be doing that next time. Also, always get extra garlic sauce! I also added a side of pita chips for a buck extra! No brainer! But holy smokes those pita chips are incredible. I mean they were warm and crispy, but at the same time soft inside. It was like a perfect cookie, but pita chip! It was a wonderful decision and now that I'm back downtown, I will be frequenting this place much more often! Also, service was great! I called in and they said 10 mins. 10 mins later I show up and it was ready. Greeted by smiling faces!

Mediterranean Nachos

This place is just awesome! It is a very small and simple place but feels very cozy. Super cute inside and the food was really yummy. I am usually a very picky eater but this is by far the best Mediterranean food I've had in sac county. Service was quick as well! Definitely would recommend to anyone who's craving Mediterranean food.

Lots of seating!

mediterranean nachos on those crispy pita chips were incredible, and the garlic sauce they drizzle on top is addicting.

Took it at home and ate the entire dish. It was refreshing and nice. I'll definitely come back to this one. I find it funny that I was told the limitations on my protein. It's chicken/falafel or Beef/lamb. I wanted chicken and beef but the counter girl said it's not done that way. So I just ordered the chicken falafel. It was actually really good anyway.

I especially wanted to see if their lamb shank was still the "star" from my last visit and to try their meat kabobs. So what did we order. 1) Lamb shank (2 orders): again, i believe this entree is one of the best items here. The shank is braised so well that the meat comes right off the bone without any efforts. The flavor is exceptional. it arrives on a bed of rice, hummus, greek salad, and pita bread. This is an item i would order without hesitation. 2) Chicken kabob skewers plate: 6 pieces of boneless white meat that is grilled once the order is placed. The chicken had a nice char and looked great. But the flavor was very mild and grilled a little too long which made the meat a tad dry...perhaps the chicken needed to be marinated longer for the spices to penetrate but the dryness was in preparation over the grill. 3) chicken and beef kabobs skewers plate: again the chicken was grilled a tad too long which made the pieces dry. the beef was moist and had a nice flavor. It also comes with rice and a salad. 4) mixed plate: sliced meat from a rotisserie spit on top of a bed of rice and topped with tzatziki sauce and hot sauce, hummus and greek salad. the sliced meat was a bit dry but more tzatziki sauce on the meat helped. The side salads were very basic. The pita bread is not as soft and fresh as the ones from Jayna Gyro on Alhambra blvd. But I would give 4 stars for the lamb shank and 2-3 stars for the grilled and chicken and beef kabob and rotisserie chicken sliced from the spit.

Cafe Europa is location in the smaller section of the Howe bout Arden shopping center next door to T4. We walked in and are greeted. We did arrive about 30 mins before closing and asked if it was alright to dine in? The gentleman was kind and said yes! We could dine in. I ordered the Greek Spaghetti which is vegetarian. It has olive oil, butter, garlic, with Myzithra cheese. I also ordered a side of Pita bread and Tzatziki. The Greek spaghetti was so delicious. I got my spice level mild and it still had the perfect amount of spice to it without giving me heartburn. The pita tastes like they make it fresh. It was soft fluffy with a nice crisp to it. The Tzatziki I could tell was made very fresh and it was delicious. The service was amazing and I will be back to try other menu items. I left full and very happy! :)

I had the falafel gyro and baklava. Both were tasty. The falafel was cooked perfectly and the baklava had a good balance of sweetness and nuttiness. My friend shared her pita and tzaziki with me. The pita bread was soft and warm with a light crispness. Even tho we came close to closing time, the gentleman who took our order (I think he might be the owner?) was welcoming and helpful.
